The Violinaires were breathtaking in concert. Lil Shot was mind blowing when he would sing "Three Pictures of the Lord". Blair was a master singer, perhaps the greatest 'true' lead singer in quartet history. I loved this song and would ask Blair and Shot to always sing it. Blair seemed so happy that a kid was asking him to sing one of his newer songs. I miss those guys sooooo much!
The only other time I heard them sing this was on a concert I hosted in Blair's home of Columbus, MS on a program with the Soul Stirrers, Lumzy Sisters, Gospel Keynotes, Otis Clay and several other groups. Half of the lead singers that night including Blair, Willie Neal, Chiquita and Martin Jacox or decease now, but they threw down until the wee hours that night at the Fairgrounds although they sung hard together previous night in Senatobia and were doing the next night near Memphis with Cheirs.
I can hardly wait until Monday, so I can listen at work(smile). I can't listen to this at home. But, I thak you for posting this one. May the Lord continue to bless those of you who don't mind sharing.
