LRDL are a fantastic group, their music is so carefully put together and produced, with fresh ideas, unique aesthetics and great lyrics every time. Songs like Vita or Fragile don't come out very often. For your next Sanremo Catchup, I highly recommend to react to Virale by Matteo Romano. You really need to hear this if you haven't done already.
This was my favourite of Sanremo this year, I still listen to it all the time I love it! They have a new song called Diva I’d recommend that too, I’d love to see them at Eurovision!
I love this song, as soon as I heard it the first time on Sanremo I rooted for them. I thought it was a perfect Eurovision song, but then I saw some Esc fans reactions and many didn't like it :/ They had alredy partecipated in Sanremo before this btw, with a song called "Amare". Still a good song but different from this one, that was more a "typical Sanremo song" with their twist on it

It's not my genre but it struck me immediately when I first listened the live SanRemo's performance - the singer is very skilled and charismatic (I suggest to watch the live version) and the whole song is very well constructed and unpredictable (as you mentioned). The Chorus is the part I prefer - and probably you are too young but in my view it sounded more like a 70's disco hit from that genius of Giorgio Moroder (Donna Summer's I Feel Love had a similar haunting bassline). I'm glad you appreciated this Song. It was one of the best in this year's Sanremo and I never tire of It. But i must say that when listening to an italian Song One misses a lot without the lyrics. As others have pointed out, this Is a deep Song about current events. Only rarely do light fluffy songs make It in Sanremo, at least in the past few years

This song is great BUT, i listen to LRDL for ages, and i recommend songs like "Resistere", "Siamo ospiti", "Questo corpo" And many other older songs, so deep with emotion! Hope you'll love them like i do!
They wrote the song for talking about the pandemic. She was in a bar, as she tells in the song, when the government announced the begins of the pandemic restrictions. So for they this was the end of the world and the protagonist of this story feels the need of celebrate and dance probably for the end is near and this is her way to cope with the situation… as in ‘don’t look up” the movie of Di Caprio. The protagonist is a young and superficial person. Look: they interpret the stories and change looks and clothes to tell that story but they and the story are different and distinct.’it is very important for them their previous theatre experience. I am taking about the singer and the boy at the bass.
If you want to appreciate them even more I'd suggest watching their Sanremo performances. Live. Flawless. And, you know, the lyrics are slightly cryptic, they keep mentioning the end of the world and "ciao ciao". It sounds like something kinda bad happened, or is happening (maybe some nasty breakup?), but the reaction in the end is, "you know what? Bye-bye". They keep making me think of These Boots Are Made for Walkin' by Nancy Sinatra.
Give a listen to her version of "E la luna bussó", i think her voice is really amazing in that song (which is also a beloved Italian classic from Loredana Berté)

This was my Sanremo 2022 winner by a country mile. Though I could see "Brividi"'s undoubted merits, and have great respect for Mahmood and Blanco as artists, I always thought "Ciao ciao" would've been a far better Eurovision entry for Italy this year. It also would have surprised everyone, I think, since this is a genre, disco-funk, that Italy has never brought to the contest. Also, it was about time we had a female lead singer after all those years in a row with a male singer and Veronica Lucchesi is so brilliant! I think Francesca Michielin in 2016 was our last female vocalist, which is a long time ago now. LRDL ooze cool and talent; Andy from Eurovoxx compared them to an Italian Blondie and I can definitely see what he means. By the way, since I mentioned Michielin... have you ever heard a song of hers called "L'amore esiste", released prior to her representing Italy at Eurovision? It's such a beautiful, intense, moving song about the dual nature of love, which can be painful and challenging as well as beautiful and healing. The song was even covered by Amy Lee as "Love exists". I highly recommend it!
brividi was the yuckiest song of eurovision 2022. Cant imagine how it got through in spite of far better alternatives (be it ciao ciao, be it virale and at least 2 more far better songs). Actually eurovision is now more about politics than real music.

I don't like this song. In the 80s it would have been a song like many others, not one of the best. Not even now I find it one of the best.
