Words cannot describe how amazing this man is. He's been officially added to my bucket list of dancers to take workshops from (The others being Rachel Brice and Zoe Jakes).
In addition to being a stunning performance showing his talent in musicality, technique, flexibility, and unique choreography, he masterfully incorporates 'jazz hands' - what more can you ask for?

He makes me want to smother him with hugs and adoration. He also inspires me to keep practicing to be a better dancer. I've never seen anyone put so much heart, soul, and fun into such fluid motion. It's like he's making the music instead of just dancing to it, and that's how I describe him to everyone. What a sweetheart at the end!

It is called Tribal Fusion, a mixture of American Tribal Style belly dance, classic belly dance, and any other dance form that the performer wants to mix in - usually hiphop and breakdance moves.
Some girls daydream about One Direction. But then, they aren't belly dancers. So they don't look for videos to use as examples. So, they never ever see Illan. Which is just sad, 'cause he's a hundred times better than any teen pop idol -- and he only dances! I love this. :D

I had the great chance to meet this year in Vienna. I was totally suprise. His workshop was full. He is so friendly and nice. But I want to know where he got that skirt from! I want it!

Everything evolves : ). there would be no tribal fusion if belly dance had never evolved. Its interesting to see what new dancers bring into bellydance. Dance needs a primordial soup somewhere for evolution. I like the founders mentioned above especially. But younger folks coming on to the scene cant all be carbon copies of the origional classics. To keep it interesting, dancers need to experiment, stretch the mind and be creative. Tribal fusion would not exsist today if the founders had not .
