A former president, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, has asked Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, to work together for the good of the people of Rivers State. Jonathan called for the truce today, Monday, during the flag-off of the N222.1 billion Trans-Kalabari Road in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area. He described the political tension in Rivers State as worrisome. The state has been in a year-long political crisis since Wike, now the FCT Minister, and Fubara, his successor as governor, fell out. According to Jonathan, “Outgoing governors and incoming governors must know that they work together for the collective interest of the citizens of the state and that is critical.”
‘Too noisy at state level’
He continued: “In the case of Rivers, Honourable Minister Nyesom Wike and Governor Sim Fubara must work together to develop the land and people of Rivers State. The tension will not help us.

Once again Ex President Goodluck Jonathan spoke as an elder stateman. It's left for Gov. Siminalaye Fubara and the FCT minister Nyesome Ezenwo Wike to sheath their swords and ensue peace. Let the Rivers state people breath.
Former president Jonathan is a world leader. You see how he address the crisis without taking side. I would have love him to call both parties and settle them, what Odili was supposed to do.
By honoring the invitation, he’s sided with Fubara already. He’s boosted his confidence and popularity and must have privately told him things to do to further take charge of the state. Everything else you hear him say in public is politics.
Well, it is a speculation. Not sure, it is also possible he didn't. Odili was supposed to avert this crisis, very evil man. He was close to Wike now Fubura, why not end this crisis when it has not escalated. Jonathan would try to settle this matter, I believe they both respect him.
If Fubura don't end this crisis, this four years will be hell for him ooo.

The way Odili is taking side now, is that how am elder should do because of personal gain? The crisis I am seeing is building, we will all be in this state when the crisis will mature, be neutral and pray for peace not this one of taking sides.
