Hey Dolls,
This is just a quick Easy Drawstring Ponytail on Short Hair that I decided to do for the week. You can do a protective style like this if you would like to stretch your relaxer or looking to do something a little different with your pixie cut.
I used an Equal Drawstring Ponytail, but you can use whichever faux ponytail you wish. Hope you all enjoy & have a bless one!! If you have any questions please feel free to comment and let me know.

Thank you for your video. I like that at the beginning you showed all the hair products you will be using. I also liked how you explained and showed each step, especially how you attached the drawstring ponytail. I was uncertain about what to do with the end of the drawstring after I wrapped it around the ponytail. It appears you just secured it in place using bobbly pins. I hope I am correct.
Yes! Just secure it with Bobby pins after😊

This was a nice tutorial! Pleasant surprised by the results! However I would recommend you use more moisturizing products. That black gel.....dont use it it has too much alcohol contents in it which dries out hair. Then you used spritz, which does more drying. Cocktail products that have moisturizing properties
Thanks for watching!! & Yeess I know the spritz has in alcohol & the gel has protein 😭😭 I usually do a moisturizing treatment after I wash it out. I don't use gel a lot in my hair as well...probably like twice a year when I feel like switching up. ❤️❤️

I enjoyed watching this video. Did you wash and dry your hair first? Did you put the gel on dry hair? Do I have to put hair around my short ponytail before I put on the long ponytail? Can I sleep in the ponytail? If so, how many nights do you recommend sleeping in the ponytail?
Yes I did wash and dried. I think I did gel on dry hair (can't remember, haven't seen this video in a while)...if your hair is long enough you won't need to add the extra hair. My hair is short so I needed to add the hair around my ponytail in order to have a good anchor and height for the pull string ponytail ....You can sleep in it...I just wrap mines around at the top and put on a head scarf or bonnet...you can take it off at night, but for me that's to much work in the morning when I'm getting ready to go work.

It's relaxed...I just washed it and blow dried it this day...I was stretching my relaxer also, so my hair had a lot of new growth when I did this style

Nice review I just love ponytails and my hair is short as well, And this was very helpful. One thing I was doing is applying my gel all thew the scalp of my hair to get it to lay down. And i do not get under a dryer I just let it air dry.I am new to your channel I loved the review.xoxolynette3232

Official_ Weirdo to each own. Jam is awful on mine ! I use Ampro brown Gel. It's the only one don't flake my gair

It should be able to...only thing if you have a lighter colored hair (like blonde), use clear gel instead 🥰

How did you add the braiding hair to your hair ?
I showed how I did it in the video...watch the video @ 5:15 ....but I basically pinned it around my little ponytail and wrapped and pinned as I wrapped it around my hair. You can also use the rubber band method to wrap it around your hair as well. Hope this helps ❤️

She sounds as if she is from Trinidad. Nice way of speaking . How can she make it last for a week? She actually sleeps with a ponytail on her head! That seems uncomfortable.
debra james....I'm actually from the US Virgin Islands...not Trini..you would definately tell the difference when you hear a Trini talk😊....to sleep with it in all I do is wrap it up in a bun, put on the hair net then tie it down....you just have to make sure it's not tight when you pull your hair into a ponytail and no hair pins are sticking you in your scalp.
