The heart shot on moose bugging out is likely because of the changes to the moose and the new gun combined
I think the biggest issue is the traditional ML Minie ball just penetrates WAY better than the newer "modern" sabot projectile.
Muzzleloaders are more about the stalk and getting closer than 100 yards, I shoot moose from 50 yards or less, deer out to 150. I use modern rifles for longer distances.
1. I’ve had that problem you had with the moose with some deer with the tracks not loading and I usually just try to get the area to re-render back in and it shows up and mine also shows low bleed rate regardless of where I actually hit it I’ve seen medium only a handful of times
I love this new update and map
They screwed this update up for me. I shot a moose 4 times on lungs and it took the 4th to finally get it down. same happened for reindeer and bears.
Just use hollow points for the big game and you won't have any problem.👍

also in my red deer GO grind I was looking for zones and I found a zone with a huge 7, a huge 8 and a piebald grind I ended up spooking them and when I reset the time the zone disappeared! I didn’t even shoot anything so if u know y this is happening will u please help me

Good informative video Flinter, it's the little things like what the tracking lines mean that I still didn't know until you showed it. Thank you for the video. Nice to see you got the inline muzzle loader figured out.
Pretty sure the inline is just bugged, The Olden Days Mission wants you to harvest a moose with the muzzle loader and it doesn't even register the kill. There also seems to be some kind of problem when it comes to bleed rates and it reporting in the animal spotting information. Shot several raccoon and bobcat were they freeze in place and still show 100% health while they bleed.

You're finding the same problems I have, with multiple guns that seem to have a high degree of variability. Penetration values are not super reliable, I had an otherwise good shot get stopped by an ear. On bigger animals the penetration value just seems to be messed up. A slightly off angle and penetration is cut in half.
Anymore if they don't drop immediately or in sight I'll circle back to it later if I have an opportunity at something else. It's turning into more of a poaching simulator for me when the numbers aren't making sense and there seems to be wierd multipliers that make something worse or better than the numbers suggest.
If it weren't for the 454 and the bow I'd probably just stick to smaller animals and ignore the bigger stuff. The bow has its own issues too, like the zeroes being way off.
I think ew is dulling down the power of a inline muzzleloader. Now I don’t play the game but in real life I hunt with muzzleloaders and I know for a fact that my inline muzzleloader can drop anything in pa with it. I think if they had maybe a couple different loads to go off of that would help. Like keep the one you are using for like white tails and such but have a magnum load for bear and moose
yeah it would cool to be able to mess with the powder loads and bullet types for different classes, I also think they made this muzzleloader weaker when i think it should be better and zero further

I've seen this and was convinced I missed. It's so hard to tell if you've hit vitals since the update
Hey flinter just wanted to give a heads up, im running into some sort of glitch on console where it tells me to buy the dlc despite already owning the dlc…..ive tried reinstalling it and it still wont fix should i reinstall the entire game?

It’s a shame I don’t enjoy the game as much as I used to enjoy it.
Can’t even use the .22 to alert game without scaring it off anymore.

the dog seams to glitch on the rocks and hills. When he do he just runs in circles non stop, also i was using the 300 last night and had 3 moose at 80yards and crosshairs right on them, and the shot jus wasnt hitting. 100 to 250 yards was fine, when they would get under a 100 it wasnt counting the shot for me.
It said very low bleed rate because of the first shot on that moose. It has been going off the first shots bleed rate for at least one or 2 updates stopped on the last one then came back
Thank god, someone else has problems with that muzzleloader. I felt like i am hitting nothing, even went back to the shootings range to check my aim.

Spook range is 💩 has completely killed my vibe with this game.
im new to cotw and i just bought the new england map. almost all of the animals i shoot have a very low bleed rate, and only a small number of animals have a medium bleed rate. no matter where i hit them they barely bleed
You might not be getting enough penetration or using a high enough power rifle
You need the right rifle, the right ammo and proper shot placement. Very low bleed generally tells you that you missed the vitals. Polymer tipped ammo / any ammo that has higher penetration is better
@@Union.Of.The.666 I usually get heart or lung shots. whitetail will run for a little bit and so will moose, but still almost always a less then medium bleed rate
@@samuellooper849 you should definitely be getting medium with a single lung, high/instant drop with a heart shot. What rifle are you using?

I wonder if the accuracy of the muzzle loader is "accurate" like in real life where if you shoot over a certain distance there's not much telling on where the ball will go. I hope this made some sense!

I've whacked some diamonds on new map but whitetail grind not going well. Not getting my buck respawns similar to Mississippi.
What's the best loadout for New England
the muzzleloader with the hollowpoints is a lot more effective on moose.

Xbox one player here, my bloodhound is acting wonky. I use it because I’m lazy and ADD distracts me, I’ll track down the whitetail I’m grinding for and I could track but I’ll watch UA-cam and just follow him while he tracks but he’ll be on a trail and just completely lose the trail on some of them and he’s maxed out. Or he just won’t even track it’ll say he’s tracking but he’ll be standing right beside me. And on Layton I had shot a whitetail on the run and I didn’t get a vital hit but got hunting pressure and the tracks just completely disappeared for like 300 yards. Only found it while heading to my next zone he was at the next zone beside the other deer there
At range it sucks it drops off like a rock.
Do you have to buy a map to unlock this gun?
Flinter, just out of curiosity, how do you find so many diamonds and rares? I know this is a huge part of your life but I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I’ve been playing since release, I’ve even restarted my game multiple times and worked back up to max level and I can never seem to find any diamonds or rares. I’m not saying I don’t have any at all just curious on how I can work on getting more. Thank you in advance good sir, keep the awesome videos up!

I can not find white tail on New England at all
I saw this albino moose on someone else's map. I shot it I missed. I followed the moose and the person who owned the map left. There was a 5 minute countdown. I tracked the moose I saw him I actually shot him. Then the game closed. I also saw a piebald and I missed the shot cause I had my bad sight I am not used to. Kinda worried about the great one. 😶
Hey Flinter where did you get those big racoons and I haven't had any problem with the mussle loader I have actually yet to miss on the moose

The first lung shot moose with the low bleed rate probably had that because of the bullet hitting the scapula. Your second one didn't so more power was into the lung

Sometimes the tracks will disappear. I had it happen to me then they re appeared when I had my blood hound track him. Weird glitch
Had the Blood hound tracking issue... I put him in the kennel and then got him back out and it was fixed.

I've used the inline every day since it came out and haven't had any problems with heart shots on moose

i've been using the 6.5mm on and i am having similar frontal shot problems with moose, its like the hit isn't registering from that angle

Because in call of the wild you have to shoot them in the air if you do not you will lose the score

@@mozambique32762 grouse are different than pheasant, most birds can be shot on the ground, but pheasants and another one i forget the name of have to be shot in the air

Everybody was complaining that Whitetail are only on Layton and now EW seems to can’t bring out a map without Whitetail(Last 4 DLC Maps all had Whitetail)
I ain’t complaining. Makes sense considering they are the most hunted big game animal in North America
Is there any way to reduce the difficulty because my game is very difficult to find animals and they are very sensitive to hearing footsteps even at a distance from them bro
