The point of these delays is what we want from Activision. The Call of Duty cycle has ruined the community when they don't get broken games that needs months and months of patching or a complete overhaul. Call of Duty has been around for 20 years, XDEFIANT can't launch as a broken game. That game would be DOA.
Yep, Xdefiant has 1 shot. It’s not gonna be an Xdefiant 2, or an Xdefiant 3. So if this fails, it’s basically chalked. But again COD players don’t know what they want. They complain about COD releasing every year but in the same breath complain about another game taking longer than a year to get out LOL

@@MarianScheulIf that's true the game would have released already. Mark Rubin is keeping XDefiant from being a broken game released. Yeah it's going to have slight issues but bit as much if the game released year ago. Which is what Activision has been doing since 2019.
I noticed in the last several years companies started calling demos betas, this is probably where the unfair expectation is coming from when participating in a true alpha/beta stress test.

I enjoyed the test. They are addressing the net code which is the only issue I had with the game. The game felt more laid back then call of duty for me anyways. But I am above average player so take that with a grain of salt. But looking forward for the release of defiant. I also spent 2 hours going through the settings for movement cause it was awful at first. Its not like cod were you can just jump in and enjoy it. Maybe that will be fixed with a update idk.
Movement will just take some time. If you want to practice while the game is down give apex legends a go. Movement is almost identical to the game with a few tweaks of course
Man, such a breath of fresh air seeing a UA-camr who actually understands patience, and doesn't undersell the difficulty of developing a game at this scale. A big portion of the xdefiant community has kept me away from even wanting to read what they have to say at this point because the ignorance is just so blistering and I got tired of seeing it for so long. Definitely gonna be coming back for more xdefiant news keep it up.
Also want to note each characters have their own IN GAME voice queues from their factions leading them on,like they dictate the flow of the game, which points to take or their own Killstreaks, instead of having one main voice operate for the whole map.
For people that play Xdefiant from a player stand point that dont know of the origins of the characters in the game hits different when you DO know of the characters slash factions from all Ubisofts games, like the map Dumbo its literally from '©Tom Clancys - The Divison" game, also the cleaners are from that game as well, then you have other maps from ©Far Cry 6, and their Factions or Deadsec Which if from ©Watchdogs and those maps, for the people that played those games and making it all a multiplayer game makes us love it more, because we loved the hell out of those classics, hope it made sense.☺
You guys need to chill bruh, yall complaining because the game hasn’t dropped but also the same people who eat up cods bs every year man, come on guys just because we don’t get it instantly doesn’t mean it’s bad, just shows what you can have when you have a set of devs trying to make everyone happy. Meh, just not really moving the needle for me. Something about the game. Just wait until the game drops and the microtransactions get shoved in your face. It's the new model. Ubisoft just wants a piece of the pie.
I don’t really care about microtransactions getting shoved in my face, as long as they don’t make me pay to get no SBMM🤣 but if they just have stupidly overpriced cosmetics I don’t really mind. I’ll roast it every so often, but the game is free and I don’t gotta pay a dime to hop in and there are no paid to win methods just yet, so we are all good 🤞
that the whole point of FTP, you get the content for free but indulging in your shallow vanity will cost you money.... a lot of money.

Fair enough! There was just something about the game that didn't quite capture me. I'm sure I will give it another chance in the future though. If you guys like the game, cool, no hate here. You like what you like. As long as you're having fun with it, I say enjoy.
They were suppose to last how many times now? I don't believe anything with their track record but Mark actually talking about a release date "very soon" makes me think(even track record & all delays considered) they might actually be close, he always avoid release dates & talking about it so for him to say they'll come out with the release date very soon, SEEMS to be good news, if only we can jump ahead a month to fast forward time lmao. Needed this game to scratch that PvP itch since it first announced in July 2021.
I got got some hate for asking a couple questions on twitter and the update Mark gave us claryfied it. I think its good to ask questions even if it does seem obvious to another. Cause more often than not theres multiple people on both sides of the same coin.

The point of these tests were to give further feedback and stress tests. You need a large pool to figure this stuff out. People have been conditioned to just accept garbage.
I’m telling ya, COD has changed the mindset of players. They think betas and tests are “demos” now for them to see if they enjoy the game or not haha

Fun fact we learned from the Mario Source Code project that Super Mario 64 from 1996 was a barley held together mess with stupid coding that wasn't even acceptable back then. We just pretended all the busted stuff from yeaster year were features.
Very true, but they can still launch it in a more polished state than what it was already in. You couldn’t even play crossplay with your friends with how bad the party system was busted, I feel if they launched with that problem they would’ve screwed themselves right out the gate 😂
@@JbowenDaMan we will see, im sure it launches this summer, they are working hard to fix any issues they may have, i didnt have any issues, except hit detection here and there but thats it.
I'm concerned because of how bad the recent play test was but at least it's free so I can try it and not have to worry too much

The problem is that everyone has been conditioned by COD to think that a beta is just playing the game a month early, rather than a test to improve the game. People can shit on this game all they want idgaf, I need a fun casual fps game and there is no way in hell I’m buying mw3 💀
The connection was ass on the last session, i could only bear half a game. If that's how it's gonna be at launch I'll be really upset because the first test was good

i didnt have that issue, your internet must be trash, it did have a connection issue at first but as i played they made adjustments each day

At some point all the talking gotta stop., they pretty much had the best window they could’ve had to release the game. You can’t keep pushing back from this date and that date and still expect a lot of people to be interested in the game. Game development isn’t easy but the amount time they had to make this and so forth every “T” should’ve been crossed and every “I” should’ve been dotted,. We’ve made it normal for these studios to delay games and excuse it as “they’re making the game better”. That should’ve been done during the EARLY stages of it not on the back end when you’re announcing release dates
Sadly a date was never official announced besides possibly launching it around summer, which was never completely confirmed. It’s always been a loose date that they chucked around. I know it makes a lot of people salty, but again I don’t mind because I’ve been asking for this to happen for years now. BF 2042 turned out trash not only because it lost its identity, but because they had no time to cook. Yes it got some extra time, but it’s not the same situation as Xdefiant where they can keep pushing and pushing pushing it back. They might have 1 chance to push the game back and that’s final, they are then forced to release the project.

I’ve been waiting on this game. Hopefully Ubisoft does right by the consumers for at least the first year. Battlefield and COD just aren’t doing it anymore for me.

I’m really looking forward to this game coming out. Idk, I actually had fun playing and the most fun I’ve had with an FPS in a while.
Its too bad that before the play test we had zero(0) notifications about anything that was going on, totally dark so could that be the situation why people didn’t know about any new system and why people felt it was the same especially when they took that amount of time off to have the players have the same experience, the frustration is understandable.
A day late and a dollar short. The hype is gone and we do not care.
That’s fine though, this game isn’t supposed to replace COD, it’s only supposed to be an alternative since there’s absolutely no real competition for COD besides maybe Battlefield, but that franchise still is massively different. The only people who probably won’t hop on are the ones who wanted it to completely replace COD during MW2 2022.

It is hard, if they give a date the community will riot. You saw what happened when they said the game will possibly launch around summer. They gave no official date, but because they said it can possibly come out and it didn’t, the community is acting the exact way they are now. Could you imagine if he said the release date and another game breaking problem popped up that requires a ton of work? Not saying it will happen because it seems pretty smooth sailing after this test. But if that were the case I guarantee Mark would probably be getting a ton of death threats lol

For me sadly I played a couple of demo’s ago and although I enjoyed the first couple of games it soon became sweaty and full of cheats. This was last year and if honest cheaters are killing the multiplayer experience for me now. I am a good player who earnt the skill over the years, but to constantly die to cheating scum has destroyed my fun for online gaming. Crossplay in my opinion has killed it for me and ever since Battlefield V every game has just been a chore to play now. Hopped on MW3 again tonight and two to four in a game every time on both teams.
One day they may find a way to actually ban any cheating account like Steam, Xbox or PS by detecting software and then totally ban the account to the point of you losing everything you purchased. Until that day crappy players will cheat.

As long as we see it for ourselves instead of just hearing that from them. Gaming is in hell right now and we need to see the improvements first hand because saying what the improvements are genuinely isnt enough. The net code was still a major issue even during the server test which made it feel like there wasnt improvements on that issue being fixed. We aren't asking for perfection we're asking for genuine improvements being showed through the product we as consumers want to enjoy.
It’s impossible for the netcode to be fine tuned without having a public test. So it would quite literally be impossible for them to do a server stress test with it being already completely polished. Sadly that’s just how game development works.

@@goldenwolf_gamingYT I get what you are saying, but the last time they took the game down it was for the purpose of upgrading the servers/netcode and to upgrade the party system. Party system works great now, and the netcode definitely was iffy but again it was our job in the stress test to help them fine tune this for launch. So I mean they did live up to their word on what they were working on when the game got postponed

After playing both the summer 2023 test and the final april 2024 test I am no longer hyped for this game. They haven't fixed anything and it really does just feel like a cheap CoD clone and I'm not just talking about the servers.

This one may not take down COD but wait until they make another game going off of all the results and players opinions and just make an even better game. That next one might kill cod. We don't know anything yet. I'm excited to play this either way. Every game is all bugged out when it first launches. Most thr time for a few months, especially COD. I'm not worried about xdefiant being buggy. Their first game and it looks amazing so far.

Unfortunately I don't want to play it anymore are the last play test. I already have a game called call of duty that has horrible hit reg. But COD still has good movement and feels good to play. XDefiant nerfed the slide and jump and now the movement sucks. 😪
Movement is still the same, I think almost a year of downtime can mess with getting back into the zone of the game, and 2 days on a stress test I don’t believe will be enough for many especially with busy schedules to get back into the zone of this game. I can hop on rainbow six siege right now and I’ll claim it’s the clunkiest game ever, but when that game first launched and invested a ton of time into it I obtained extraordinary movement/flow. Once Xdefiant drops and anyone wants to really get into it, I’d say after a week you will have it down perfectly and it’ll feel smooth.
Ok well the movement is still the same as it was in the public betas but it was much better in the alpha and private beta versions. I just keep complaining and hoping they change it back. It was so much faster and smoother feeling that I haven't been able to get over it since they changed it. I'm not sure you played the tests I'm talking about or you will know they nerfed the slide and jump before the public beta. But you're right. I'm sure anyone who spends a lot of time playing XD will get used to the movement. I'm just salty, 😆.
evry day got worse by the 3rd day it was so bad i just stopped playing. i had a rough time but the gameplay is fun but i didnt have funbecause of the d sync if they really fix it then i would have way more fun on this game then cod
another thing to add is i hope we get this gaame soon and they figure out the probs with the d sync because ther is alot of other issues that arent getting addressed maybe u could make a video on other issues in the game that could be touched on jb

They literally had 4yrs to fix the game and multiple betas and test. The game is just shit. The game will last 3 months tops. Too many sweats and it literally has nothing unique or worth coming back to play. It’s just a boring shooter with 0 incentive or reward
Yea indeed, something that we’ve been begging COD to do forever, so I’m pretty happy with them constantly pushing back the game to make sure things are better. Also for the game having nothing unique, so doesn’t COD it’s pretty much the same gam every single year. Which is fine, some people will enjoy it and some won’t, that’s just how things work. If you enjoy COD more you will have plenty of games to play in the future, and if you enjoy Xdefiant you will have that to enjoy as well as an alternative

It won’t flop, but it definitely won’t hold onto a large playerbase, not a chance. Especially with all the sweats and no SBMM, people are gonna be getting partied up against some crazy players a ton.
I give it 3 at max. Its hard for people to break their routine, even if xdefiant was good, people are so accustomed and used to hopping on cod, its 2nd nature when they get on. People might play xdefiant for a while then eventually people will shift back to cod, why else is cod still so successful despite being so trashed and hated on

Sorry but no... XDefiant will flop, why? Because there is no SBMM, as much as it hurts to tell majority of COD community either prefer or don't mind SBMM, see there is the reason for why SBMM is so strong for 5th year in a row, it is because on the backend devs see an indications that this is exactly what ACTUAL majority aka silent majority of COD community wants, Activision is a greedy company and if they see that they loosing clients subsequently revenue they would turn SBMM off because it start to affect their pockets, but that's not happening... because it seems like people enjoy modern CODs more🤷.
You sound dumb people tolerate SBMM we don't like it. It's what's killing call of duty always putting us against sweats that no life the game when their is literally a mode for those kind of players.

The only players that will be playing XDefiant are above average players. The same people who complain about SBMM will boot up XDefiant and make videos on how relaxed the XDefiant lobbies are. The vast majority of players who play Call of Duty are below average players
