@@AkaSusBuss it is, she spoke about it in an interview recently. when mamamoo went to New York for their tour, she received had so many hate comments that she was crying non stop after the concert :(
@@MooYT_yes but this song is about how they were talking crap about how she was thick and not the usual body type that koreans prefer… she was taunted for years coz she has hips compared to a typical korean skinny person… she lost weight but i guess shes replying to those haters whi kept on talking about her body especially in 2017-2020
Actually, part of it may have been the fit, BUT the biggest thing was an "inappropriate" dance move she did during a festival at a college (while she was taping Dance Queens on the Road, they cut the move out of the show) As she arrived in New York, she was getting alot of messages on KaKao(not sure if I spelled that right) and when she read them she found out about being investigated by the police because of it, but what really made her so upset was all of the horrid hate comments from the netizens (as always) and she broke down crying after the New York show, and while in the parking lot of the hotel, Psy sent her "I Love My Body", and it made her smile. Oh and btw, during that same festival, there were male students being brought up on stage and grinding on the ground, like they were having sex, but apparently that was ok. *smh As always, only Hwa Sa was gone after by the parent council who went to the police. It's pure garbage. I think honestly, the song is a mixture of her whole life, and the way she has been treated about her body the entire time she has been in the KPop industry, it's just what happened during the festival was the catalyst.
Hwasa is a gorgeous young woman full of talent and I'm happy she outshines all the hates that comes her way. This song is so addictive and positive I'm in love with my body too😂❤ .
honestly I feel like a lot of people should hear the message she puts out in these lyrics Love yourself and the way you are as you're unique, set standards with how you expect to be treated Your body is beautiful and powerful as it lets you live and grow, and you should be proud of that. Your body isn't the only thing about you, you offer the world who you are not just your physical appearance.
Oh my god❗️Why do I have to listen to it again and again every time Hwasa releases a new song? I have listened to this song almost 10 times in a row! She set my whole body on fire🔥🔥🔥
supposedly Hwasa has faced some harsh criticism from people in the industry for her "unconventional" (I hate even saying it like that because she's perfect) body shape & size. now that she's with her new label, her brand is about reclaiming her power and freedom. imo, she's making a pretty impactful statement to the industry, as well as about her intentions for her own future (i.e., not to let bs criticism affect how she views and treats herself). LOVE YOUR REACTIONS 💖✨
Homegirl literally got sued recently by parents because of her performance being "too sexy". It actually became a controversy and I think this is one of her inspiration of this song.
It happened around the same time but it’s not a response to that. In fact PSY sent her the song when the controversy was happening and it made her giggle so she accepted lol.
She was once called the ugliest K-pop woman artist because she’s not up to the Korean beauty standard. But the fact is she’s amazing. This song is way more powerful than just a song. Body shame is very common nowadays because of social media. I totally agree with you, it’s hard to do but we all need to love ourselves.
You mentioned this being a reply to ppl talking smack about her body and I think this is bc of the recent outfit/suing incident but also the many many incidents before bc in most of her songs she mentions how ppl always have something to say(like in Maria and I’m a 빛)
The police car was actually a call out because of the controversy that she got in when She and the rest of MAMAMOO were touring in the US Some parents' association in SK reported Hwasa to the police because of a sexy gesture the she did in a University Festival (you know, a place full of legal adults?)
she gets hate for her body, and this song made her feel better abt it and now shes spreading positivty and confidence to everyone else in the same situation. (shes stunning and korean standars are not on hwasas level shes ABOVE them)
it was a response to the hate and backlash she got about her outfit in one performance, this song helped to lift her up out of a dark place
it's not about that
it's about the hate she got by knetz for not fitting the korean beauty standards many years ago

Hwasa is definitely one of the most motivating idol I've known in kpop.

For context! It was university student’s parents.

I Love my body is honestly so good
sebastine and hwasa, my favorite combo ❤️
It was a response to the suing controversy
She's a true artist
You can see that she knows her craft
A once in a lifetime talent
As expected from QUEEN HWASA❤❤❤❤❤
Hwasa my queen!
This was recorded around the time she was getting sued for being too‘provocative’ on one of her performances
She's too gorgeous 😊
Hwasa❤❤❤

let's go ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hwasa has no business being this pretty
yessssss
IT IS A RESPONSE! HER WHOLE CARER she people were saying she docent fit the Korean standards and saying she was fat and to thick.
Lmao I really think that the random police car at the end represents where she got sued for being hot 😂
she has allways been told she is ugly by kpop standards and yes she is gorgeous inside and outside
@4:19 I too would throw my hands up if I saw Hwa Sa's hips coming toward me

I am so sorry for her cause she got all that hate about her being "Fat" she is pretty and gourgeus in every way
this song reminds of that one Meghan Trainor song "i can have my gucci on"
Same that's the 1st thought when I listened to the song
Someone sued her for a performance “inappropriate” and she had to go to the police station. So the police car was for this
This is so Megan Trainor coded and I love it!
❤❤😂
I'm the 1k like😂
Meghan Trainer needs to get on this shit
They talked sh*t about her body for years and i guess this is the reply… she lost alot of weight as of now, i liked her thick i guess🤷🏾♀️
did you even read the lyrics
