- Everton produced a battling away performance to twice come from behind and earn a valuable point with a 2-2 draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
A performance full of grit, character and moments of quality was crowned with just a minute of normal time remaining. Ellis Simms - back at the scene where he made his senior Everton debut in December 2021 - stepped off the bench to coolly slot a deserved late equaliser.

Soooo happy for Ellis tonight . Doucoure was at his s best tonight and was ( for me) motm tonight . Nice to see a player who actually wants to play for EFC . Onwards and upwards . Two week break now and hopefully DCL can get back to some kind of fitness and add to the cause .

That tactical move signal when Simms with Mykolenko was genius idea from Dyche. From 4-5-1 to 4-4-2 and Simms kind taking LW spaces as well as Gray and Mykolenko defensive - offensive boost. This worked perfectly and now we could finally see 2 strikers formation. I missed it so much, but today Simms proved that he can take the position. It still doesn't mean he's going to play 90' every game, but he has a very bright future as he keeps improving. He helped Blackpool with promotion, then experience with Sunderland and now upgraded it to a real challenge. And he accepted the challenge. Up the Toffees!

I knew Koulibaly would be toast in the Epl when he comes against a pacy and strong forward.The series A lacks those mobile forwards unlike the Epl.

Was at Hearts v Motherwell last season saw Ellis Simms and he looked powerful but lacking finesse. Scottish football about his level I thought. Thank God I was wrong there.
