wow what a very Small world…you don’t have to be sorry on his behalf, i just couldn’t let it pass so i had to vent. anyway, wish i knew you live around there would have said hello
Had a similar Experience too , because my dad is from a Muslim family, I have been to their muslim occasions on different times and I'm used to it 😂 Everything is business in this country , it is well
I understand your rant with regards to taxing the father of the twins to donate money as well. This is pure culture not religion pls. You would have done your research on how Muslims perform naming ceremony and not generalise that it's a Muslim thing. Have you been to a naming ceremony in the north? I have been to yoruba events and I see that it's a norm for them to pass trays round for people to donate money. I'm a northerner and we don't do that. Please next time research before you generalise.
Exactly please endeavor to do your research before generalizing coz this is not about Islam but culture(some muslim Yoruba culture to be precise)coz we the northerners don’t do that please and also the well learned scholars too don’t do that
you saying it’s a yoruba culture thing is absolutely false… it is not a yoruba thing i guess what i should have said is yoruba muslim imams since i haven’t been to a northerner naming party. for that i apologize
