Not really. I tried to use it to scrub some dirt off my house siding when I was pressure washing...big fail. Tried using it in my bathroom shower like you and ran into the same issue. Just a waste of money, imo.@@stuffyouactuallyneed826

I also have a tineco, I don't remember the model but it must be older because yours is less noisy than mine. And yes always empty the dirty water tank asap, in less that 24 hours all the pressure and dirt in it will create one awful stench.

Fungus that grows in places where water sits. Especially common in poorly designed drains and bathroom / shower ledges, and washing machines. Compounded with use of certain detergents (especially softener which you should never use in a washer) and soaps for clothes and body.
If it is crusty / dry orange/brown color it is most likely manganese deposits from the water.
If it is slimy, wet, or fuzzy looking no matter the color it is prolly fungal or bacterial. Common colors however are pink, orange, and bright / crimson red (more likely in refrigerators). Black is also common, but can be just dirt/grime instead of bacteria or mold.
Green usually is copper oxidation, but can also be mildew. Chalky White is generally soap scum deposits, but can lead to accumulation of various unwanted additions. Powdery layered white can also be softener salts from a water softener if you have one in your house.

The best way to alleviate this happening is to make sure to dry the shower walls, ledges and drains after each shower. This is however time consuming and cumbersome. Most people that attempt this never stick with it. It does work though.
