That's a Cool Classic Brother! You definitely don't see as many Impalas in this body as the more popular Caprice. I love them both. In this body the Impala was 77-85 while the Caprice was 77-90. The Caprice was more prestigious with a Crown logo, hood ornament and optional Vynil Top while the Impala was more rugged without this stuff and instead wore the base Chevrolet Boe-Tie 🎀
I had an 85 Chevy Impala and drove the heck out of it for 15 years straight. - sent it down the road with 236,000 miles on it and it was still running strong. They don't make them light they used to anymore......
My first car was a 1984 Impala. It was the best car I ever owned! Sadly, they don't make them like they used to. I drove it many times from Edmonton, Canada, to San Diego, California, where I got my MBA degree, and I never had any problems!
Had a 77 Impala bought from a buddies girlfriend for $50 only because i loved the back window lol. The car surprisingly seemed rust free but full of dents and water and got it to run good enough to limp home. When i pulled the carpets out found the floors were pristine still with factory e-coat, even the trunk! Just punched some strategically place drain holes and found the top of the firewall was rotted at the heater box so just pooped it up. Thew a smallblock and powerglide out of an old enduro car that got wrecked and holy shit watta tire eater! Still only a one wheel peel but was a hoot to drive and with the stock rearend was scary fast. Was just a great reliable no-nonsense car that you could enjoy without worrying about jumping in with dirty clothes or spilling anything on the virtually non-existent interior LOL
Great 👍video I love these B body GM cars ! I own a 1981 Oldsmobile Delta 88 sedan. These GM big cars were so comfortable to drive and pretty reliable .
I remember thrashing around the back roads in one of these, a friend's mother's car. Kicking the tail out, moaning secondaries, and she just wanted more. Who could have thought it could possibly end?
I had an 80 impala with 305 in 1990..car ran great until my gf rear ended a truck with it..I did some body repair to drive it again but the oil pump quit in my way to work in Boston one morning..car had barely over 100k on it..
It least it's a 305. My neighbor had an 82 Impala she bought new it was the 229 v6. But hers did have 150,000 miles when she traded it for a new 88 Celebrity.
... I have purchased two '89 Caprices, based on the seemingly-universal praise for them. They are fine cars, to be sure; but they aren't especially pleasant to drive: it feels like I'm driving a computer with tires on it. Next time, I'll get an older one... like one from the late 1970s.
All real car Not what they build today This car probably gets better gas mileage than any of today's SUV'S. It's body on frame vehicle Not 2 bodies put together...
I have taken a deposit on it. I have a 1989 Caprice station wagon and a 1982 Cutlass that run and drive... and a few other 1980s GM RWD cars that need mechanical work. My email is mrgoodpliers1985@gmail.com
Thanks for stopping by the channel! I have sold the burgundy car for $2500 but I have a good driver 1982 Impala in dark blue also available for $2500. I can be reached at mrgoodpliers1985@gmail.com
Thanks for stopping by the channel. This car sold in 2021. I have a few more 1977-80s Caprices and Impalas. I will be working on a video to show them in a month or so, stay tuned!

One of my favorite sedans of all time. Stick a 5.3L V-8 in it and let's see what she can do!
Good idea for a video. Good info and walk around. Stick with this no-frills approach and you'll get big. Clean up your appearance!
