- A man accuses an off-duty San Francisco firefighter of shooting at him, leaving behind a graze wound and his car riddled with bullet holes. The shooting happened in Oakland. The victim said he was in business with the firefighter. The firefighter was arrested and booked into Santa Rita Jail where he is being held.

The officers who refused to take that man’s report should be FIRED
Some firefighters (and police officers) think they are above the law because their peers will overlook their misdeeds. But overlooking the misdeeds of a few bad apples just makes your whole department look like bad apples.
More like some don't.
Just like most professions which are made up of people have “bad apples” who cover for them. Doctors, politicians, lawyers, judges, teachers and every profession in society has a “wall of silence” and protects their own.
Government and public employees have been on a decades long crime spree.
Police and firefighters are in bed with each other. The police have their back. A drunk firefighter once flashed a badge pretending to be a cop, harassed me and the police just let him off and swept it all under the rug. I know of another one who drove all diesel vehicles. He would fill them up for free at taxpayer expense. A lot of firefighters are dirt.
As a citizen, why would I trust a secondary responder?
Armed robbery isn't a civil matter? Wrong. And of course, attempted murder is definitely a criminal matter.

Armed robbery is prosecuted in criminal court not civil.
This should be treated as attempted murder. The location where the deal was done should have raised a red flag for the victim. That part of Powell st. doesn't see too much traffic and it's really easy to get on the freeway and hit the MacArthur Maze. Once you're in the maze you can choose from five different directions to go in to get away.
Are Democrats going to defund the fire department now as well? Maybe accuse them of wasting water on wildfires?
When are the Democrats going to call to defund the NFL with all of their violent players?

The firefighter has no chance in court at ALL . The lawyer can plead for less time but that's about it, and the police should be sued because they didn't do their job

I’m not on the firefighter side, and he shouldn’t of have used a gun but it takes two to tango. I don’t trust neither of them. The guy who got shot looked hella shady to me but was on his best behavior and did his best to act and sound innocent in front of a camera.

Yeah good luck, that's San Francisco, Google another case from San Francisco as well in the courts now, a firefighter named Muhammed tried to kill another firefighter with a metal bar, they fired the victim instead and kept the psychopath in, the victim is suing the department in federal court for wrongful termination and for covering up for the psycho firefighter, the department called the victim to try to convince him to drop the charges, he said no so they fired him.
That poor victim is so calm and well spoken. I hope he gets justice

The sad thing is this happens every dam day in the Bay, and other areas. The only reason this is getting on the news in such a big way is the guy is a firefighter. We should treat all of these acts of violence the same, yet we only get worked up when it involves someone who actually is supposed to be a model in our community. Obviously the Police tried to Cover up the attempted Murder of the Victim. There needs to be an Investigation into the Corruption of those Officers and guessing it goes higher up on the Food Chain.
I didn’t know committing robbery/burglary was “receiving stolen property”. If that was the case you’re saying the victim stole the puppies and was trying to sell them, in reality they are just lightening up the charges
Yes they are definitely lightening the charges anyway possible. But they are not referring to the seller as a thief selling stolen property. They are claiming that the whole deal was a theft by the firefighter and potentially that because he attacked the seller when he was supposed to pay then therefore he was stealing the puppies and because he technically received them and they are technically stolen they can claim receiving stolen property.
This fireman is in deep sh!t, he will be extremely lucky to keep his job, attempted murder is a very serious charge and the evidence is clearly overwhelming! I don't know what happened but the fireman acted in an outrageous manner and he could easily lose his job under the moral turpitude clause if one exist! 😩
