The song festival was held during the 1988 Olympics in Korea.

That girl could *REALLY* sing. No tricks, no voice correction....she was REAL.
Back then you had to be able to sing.

The only times she lip synced were shows that forced the artists to, like American Bandstand, Solid Gold, the endless number of European "studio" music shows. The last time she lip synced on TV was 1988, on American Bandstand, all of her TV performances after that she sang live.
I saw Laura singing in San Antonio, Texas in the early 1990s. She was not lip syncing.
You should watch when she sang in ' 88 on Motown's 40th anniversary. Two thumbs up.
She was absolutely gorgeous, with a powerhouse voice. Taken way too soon. RIP, angel.

Oh my goodness… back in 1988, what a performance! Laura is surely awesome, also the full band and the sound engineering. The audio and video quality is still great.

Yes, She is magic, but as you say, that orchestra was also brilliantly punchy, and perfectly on tome...they are not all like that. The whole thing sends shivvers down my spine. (Yes, in her case, with 2V 's)
An absolutely incredible talent she was. WHAT A VOICE!! So sad that she left this earth at only 52 years old. When she left us on August 26, 2004, I was in shock, and I remained in shock for over a week afterward. How could this beautiful, supremely talent lady leave us when she still had so much more to accomplish?
WHAT A GREAT PERFORMANCE THERE IS ONLY ONE LAURA BRANIGAN JUST BRILLIANT.

지금 현재 화면 속에 나와 노래 부르시는것 같은데 이 세상분이 아니셨군요. 믿기지가 않네요. 분명히 지금 현재 어딘가에 살아계실것 같은데...라디오에서 많이 듣던 노래인데 실제로 영상으로 뵈니 정말 믿기지가 않네요. 게다가 한국에 오셔서 한국 댄서들과 무대에서 함께 계시다니...정말 보고 싶습니다.
