  • A tour around Inverewe Garden on the north-west coast of Scotland. Created in the 19th century by Osgood Mackenzie and given to the National Trust for Scotland in 1952 by his daughter Mairi, the Garden has over 2500 exotic plants and flowers, with a walled garden and woodland, all on the shore of Loch Ewe.

I remember visiting the gardens many years ago: absolutely beautiful. Then went along the coast: dipped my hand into the sea and it was so warm! Thank you, North Atlantic Drift & Gulf Stream 🤗

I was there in August 2022. Lovely garden. I always search for gardens when I am in the Isles and this was an exceptional one. As always those victorians loved their rhodendendrons. The scones were good as well in that visitor center. It had been years since I had clotted cream and jam on a scone. I would reconmmend this place to anyone. Although for the love that is holy fix that darn parkingmeter!

Thank you for this video. I've been to Inverewe Garden 30yrs ago and didn't remember it in detail. This video helped my memory... we are planning to make a tour to Scotland in 2022 or 23, depending on Covid (and, I have to admit it, Brexit... most idiotic thing I ever heard).
