“Royarch” is such a witty, well-crafted title; well done, original GW. Yep, the Black Chasm is easily the most interest-catching element of this general region on the Bretonnian map; bringing forth immediate curiosities. Like a jagged thunderbolt across the founding seat of the kingdom. Why is the forest so impenetrable to prevent further exploration of the Chasm; did it originate there? Are localized undead beastmen somehow specifically related to the Chasm? What is its conenction to Gilles le Breton? Plus a black fog, then so-called “chasm spawn” - well, that last kind of threat sounds familiar. Ironically, Bastonne doesn't sound very unified, both within its own borders and with the rest of Bretonnia, and I think Gilles would be as disappointed as the God-Emperor would be of the Imperium of M41 in 40K. As supposed stewards of such history so sacrosanct to their nation, they've allowed the worst of Bretonnian ego and reputation of status to overtake themselves. Cheers by Slaaneshi cultists from the Chalon woods, to that. At least a higher concentrated population of grail knights is present, though evidently to constantly keep corruption in check (if not ruling competency). Tragically, overall it sounds like mid-level regulatory capture by Chaos reigns in this duchy. Even though the rider's dress colours combo of red-yellow does look dignified and ancestral - damn, that dragon headdress on the knight's helmet after 6:00 looks heavy. Although, so does that extravagant urn perched on the other guy's head, after 12:00. As the castle and capital of Bastonne have been made into a city of a museum, that detail alone makes that central location a definitie tourism destination...even separate from the historic landmarks, facts and claims. Though sadly, one would likely prefer to avoid the largest structure of attraction there - Gilles' former personal chambers having been turned into water storage? Plus, the whipping is a depressingly predictable reminder of being among the class divisions of Bretonnia. Who is haunting “Morr's Rest” at Castle Garamont? No Bretonnian mountains seem bereft of greenskins but the dragon for duchy sigul is nowhere more fitting or as finely designed for heraldry as it is here. Avoiding the “noble” machinations as hastily as possible, this does seem like a country of varied landscape that appeals to a visitor...provided one also avoids the Knight of Malmont's danger-ridden territory. Authorities being an obstacle anywhere, I would certainly spend due time in touring this crucial duchy of Bastonne, home to so many artifacts. Thank you for this latest presentation of Bretonnia section-by-section, GDN. These culture stops are always enriching and imagination-inducing. Until your next record from this kingdom, I bid you have a healthy and awesome week. May the blessings of Sigmar and the Lady be upon you.
Mike you should have your own channel For GDN'S narrative stories you always point out the good interesting things About the video actually I would actually watch it I like seeing interesting things pointed out Plus my theory about the Black chasm could be a spell unleashed or it could be curse but sure wouldn't want to go near that chasm and end up in a horror movie experience oh boy Warhammer fantasy a good place to end up horror movie
@@donright4492 You're too kind, don. YOU're the writer! And I'm so backlogged on reading, too. Oh man, once again, your mind is a house of ideas by connecting the Black Chasm in Bastonne to a horror movie experience. I can actually imagine multiple Warhammer horror movies based around that freaky canyon.
Why thank you Mike I only got inspired because of GDN Plus I did not like the end times but I wanted a better story so slowly I came up with an idea For character in my love for music That's where my imagination is at My best I listen to breath of fire 2 A game on the super Nintendo One of the music list I listen to on a ost call crooked ladder I listen to gave me the characters background of Being human noble and heroic but Sad at the same time for the character Then I listen to a music track from an anime call noir in the music list there Call Chloe this we're got Lance fall In the darkness the music has the same Sound of crooked ladder but more Dark an foreboding if you listen to crooked ladder and Chloe from noir They are the same but different It's like listening to light and dark at the same time both sad but both betrayed A different feel for the character When I listen to crooked ladder I see Lance being a Noble of Averland when I listen to Chloe I see him as the black Marshall Of Sylvania this is how I get my Ideas from music you want to Get the idea for a character's tragic fall listen to sad emotional music like elfen lied Lilum imagine if you want to see character heroic I listen to legend of dragoon Dart theme are any other music For me it's best foundation of Imagination
Dukedom of Bastonne sounds like an interesting place if it didn't have all the shady things going on plus it's funny how it got a lot of Grail knights but there's a lot of corruption and just looking at the water that tower and getting whip-ped that's just atrocious oh boy

For character in my love for music
That's where my imagination is at
My best I listen to breath of fire 2
A game on the super Nintendo
One of the music list I listen to on a ost call crooked ladder I listen to gave me the characters background of Being human noble and heroic but Sad
at the same time for the character
Then I listen to a music track from an anime call noir in the music list there
Call Chloe this we're got Lance fall
In the darkness the music has the same
Sound of crooked ladder but more
Dark an foreboding if you listen to crooked ladder and Chloe from noir
They are the same but different
It's like listening to light and dark at the same time both sad but both betrayed
A different feel for the character
When I listen to crooked ladder
I see Lance being a Noble of
Averland when I listen to Chloe
I see him as the black Marshall
Of Sylvania this is how I get my
Ideas from music you want to
Get the idea for a character's tragic fall
listen to sad emotional music like elfen lied Lilum imagine if you want to see character heroic I listen to legend of dragoon Dart theme are any other music For me it's best foundation of
Imagination
Where the famed grail knight Calard comes from!
Dukedom of Bastonne sounds like an interesting place if it didn't have all the shady things going on plus it's funny how it got a lot of Grail knights but there's a lot of corruption and just looking at the water that tower and getting whip-ped that's just atrocious oh boy
Thank you!
You're welcome.
I will never understand why dragons capture maidens. It's almost as if there needs to be one more reason for brave knights to kill dragons.
Same reason they collect gold despite having no need for it. Their all kleptomaniacs that hoard things they see others like.
It's a cliche probably from our own middle ages.
Grim dark le bretoine
1st to 1st, 2nd to like, 1st to watch
That's great. Have a Cookie.
