I went to college with the actor who played Tom Cudaheys son two years ago. it blew my mind when he was like yeah my dad was on some soap all my children I think. i saw a pic and I was like dude your dad was tom cudahey lol. He had no idea what i eas talking about. i was like lets just say your dad was very famous in the soap world at one time lol. Then we did a play together and his dad came to see it. I got to meet him he was really cool.
I just realized that it is Nacy Frangione playing Tara Martin here. I love her!!! She got very famous on Another World playing Cecile Depoulignac. my favorite soap character ever.
This shows how different US Soap Weddings are in comparison to The UK. When Gail Potter married her Husband Brian Tilsley in the 1970's, theirs was a Blue Collar style wedding. The Folks were either Barmaids, Mechanics, Bartenders or Barmaids. If it was glamorous, fans would get upset.
So good to see so many classic characters in this episode, including members of Pine Valley's first family, the Tylers. Phoebe was hilariously snobby in her scenes--she so clearly preferred Tara as Chuck's wife rather than Donna.
Ruth Warrick was excellent in the role of Phoebe. It was fun to watch Phoebe act condescendingly towards those she considered beneath her station (especially Donna), including her dinner parties.
I know it's the angle at which she was standing and the waistline on the dress, but when she turns to kiss Tom, Susan Lucci looks pregnant in that wedding dress.
I love Myrtle's comment to Lincoln Tyler "speaking of 'persistent', look who's here"! Claudette Montgomery is a character long forgotten, but she stirred up a lot of trouble in her day. I know this is the second actress to play her, Susan Plantt-Winston. I've never seen the original, Paulette Breen. Claudette later killed Eddie Durance. Another great villain.
I just saw your comment and didn't realize nine years had passed since I wrote my comment. I have only read about Claudette's mother, Margo Flax. I always thought her name itself sounded creepy. Looking her up again, the actress who played her, Eileen Letchworth, had a facelift in real life and AMC showed her actual recovery on the show. Something that never had been done on soaps.
My dressmaker copied Erica's wedding gown for my wedding. I'm still married after forty two years.
AWW! So Sweet!
Awe, you should post your picture
Erica Kane was married many times, but Susan Lucci was only married once to Helmut Huber. 1969 until his death in 2022. Over 50 years.
Who is the tall blonde 👱♂️ gentleman in the tan suit ? The actors name , please ?

I see Alicia, Benny, Pinky, Ruth, Gloria, and Sebastian in the audience.
I never noticed this before that’s the theme from dark shadows it would always play when Quinton and Daphne were there
I can't believe these two were even married
I went to school with the actor who played tom's son. We did a play together. I met the guy he was very nice.

She is my third favorite on Another World after Donna Love Hudson and Felicia Gallant . My fourth is Carl Hutchins . Fifth is Cass Winthrop .
Soaps were so different in the 70s.

Yeah bad characters were bad, there were no nuances to them that made them likable. Phoebe, Liza, Ray, Billy Clyde etc. were jerks plain and simple

At 5:17, is that Sean Cudahy toasting the bride and groom? That's not Alan Dysert who played the role the longest. Or did Tom have another brother?
Lots of standing around and chit chat in these old soaps.
Who is the woman with Chuck? She looks familiar.
Donna Beck Tyler
I remember I was young watching this show.
It's Erica's mother I felt sorry for, she put her through hell and back... Just an observation. :)
Tom was a papacito..mmm
Love Phoebe
Why did Charles ever marry Phoebe?
I know it's the angle at which she was standing and the waistline on the dress, but when she turns to kiss Tom, Susan Lucci looks pregnant in that wedding dress.
She was with her second child
Phoebe: I don't buy that story my dear.
Too bad you don't! Cus it's the truth! ROFL!

I liked Paulette Breen much better than this Claudette. She was bitchy.
Well, since you have these "top of the line" things, why don't *you* work on it? (You did put the ball on the tee there).
I am so sick of these videos not playing properly. I have a top of the line computer and internet. Someone needs to work on it.
