Hello Ben. How are you?, Great tip my friend. One of my bigger nightmares the bald spots haha, It's not only a deep shaving also could be a spoilage hide by bacteria decay. Anyway i have had this idea in my mind that i need to prove, in place of just cut out the bald spot and sew the edges, why not place a artificial patch just like we do from a torn trouser? this patch would be made with wool fiber for needle felting. just think it, it is more time consuming, but maybe worth for meticulously done works.
What do you do with the "bald spots" you remove from wolf hide? I would be interested in buying them. I use them to make small "wolf leather/hide" pouches with.
I am doing a bobcat right now and yesterday I noticed some hair came off of the ear right where the white markings are behind the ear. That’s the only place. Can you recommend a way to fix this? Thanks

At this stage I could only say spray some Stop-slip on the surface and hope for the best. It might have not been salted good.
Thank you so much for the tutorial, how would you do it on a mammal with a shorter fur, like a rabbit?
It’s still the same ,,, you just have to make sure how to cut the bald spot so when you bring the skin back to stitch the hair pattern lay correctly.
I would like to ask can I use this trick on a blackbuck? The hair is shorter I know, but not totaly short.
Good question. Yes you can , you can do it on any skin as long as the hair colour and pattern matches around the bald spot.
But all of this needs to be done before mounting while the skin is stretchy.
Hi
Sir I need your help.
