    Have you ever wondered which shoulder exercises are the BEST? Thats what we will look into in todays video! For this tierlist, i chose these exercises: dumbbell overhead press, barbell overhead press, behind the neck overhead press, machine overhead press, lateral raises, egyptian lateral raise, leaning lateral raise, rear delt fly, chest supported rear delt fly, reverse peck deck, facepulls, front raise, front plate raise, arnold press, upright row, pike pushup, handstand pushup, ring pike pushup, deficit handstand pushup, wall supported handstand pushup. All of the rankings are based on my own experience, and not on useless scientific studies. But you should always keep in mind, that everyone is different, and something that works for me, might not be so great for you. So dont forget that!

    The handstand push up won’t give your impressive shoulders because you need impressive shoulders to do it

    • @JohanSeongEden
      @JohanSeongEden 3 місяці тому +8

      You need to have strength enough from your shoulders to do the handstand push-up. The pike push-up even needs that too, according to my experience.

    • @chrikke
      @chrikke 3 місяці тому +4

      Even if they didnt require impressive shoulders, it would still be better. The less stables you are, the less strength you have. Your body makes you weaker to put more focus into balance. Its a survival instinct or something.

    I started going to the gym in August and I used to do dumbbell lateral raises. Since my hands are small, my forearms reached failure way before my shoulders. A couple weeks ago, I started using cables: now I can train shoulders properly

    So now for shoulder training, I go for cable lateral raises, facepulls, and machine OHP.

    It's true that the best exercise for you is the higher ROM and the most comfortable to do. If you can do it properly, then it's for you. My to go shoulder exercise is dumbbell shoulder press, upright rows, side lever, face pull, and hip huggers. Yes, I put a lot emphasis on my rear delta 'coz that's one of my lacking part.
