An affirming and suspenseful story about a young woman's struggle to love again, Safe Haven is based on the novel from Nicholas Sparks, the best-selling author behind the hit films The Notebook and Dear John. When a mysterious young woman arrives in a small North Carolina town, her reluctance to join the tight knit community raises questions about her past. Slowly, she begins putting down roots, and gains the courage to start a relationship with Alex, a widowed store owner with two young children. But dark secrets intrude on her new life with such terror that she is forced to rediscover the meaning of sacrifice and rely on the power of love in this deeply moving romantic thriller. I have got to accept that I did not see that ending coming haha. I dont know how to feel about it.
My wife and I are both named Alex.
Continued - so her neighbour helps her disguise herself, cut her hair, dye it and then she runs away to the bus station and her husband is a police officer so he chases after her with all the police( but none of the police know he is actually chasing her) and this whole time you think that she is a murderer cause the movie doesn't give you any idea that her husband is her husband! it makes you think he's just an officer searching for a murderer. And the way the movie makes it across
I read the book and would not go to the movie because of all the abuse but when it came on You Tube, I had to watch it. It is a fabulous book and a fabulous movie. If everyone could have such a love affair, the world would be a better place.
I didn't know Haley Joel Osmond had a transition.
Hmm, choice a) watch another Nicholas Sparks movie, or b) gouge my own eyes out. Hmmm, thinking....
first half of the movie there is no plot whatsoever by second half i was pissed off and stop caring. The ending twist was kinda nice surprise.
From Christy's description of this movie It sounds like a rip off between the 6th Sense and Ghosts.
Christy is the coolest.
Loved the Notebook. Think I might give this one a try too.
I'd rather watch The Lake House.
Christy references T1000. How can you not love this woman!
Did anyone actually read the subtitles? It was nothing like what they said? WTF?
She knew her husband wasn't dead she was scared of him finding her lol. My gf says
This is my opinion, but I didn't like it all. I thought there was too much going on and just UGH. Aha not my favorite movie.
hie guyz name of the song
This movie sounds horrific
I, for one, actually quite liked this movie :)
I didn't completely hate it. The whole psycho ex thing is too played out.
I believe I just heard the nuttiest, corniest (and not in a good way)movie plot in my whole life. :S
They warned you at the beginning.
Does she know she sees dead people? Did she know the other woman was his dead wife? Why did she kill her ex husband? Is he really dead? How many dead people does she see in this movie?
I think that the very nature of Nicholas Sparks movie makes the actors bland. Pretty, but bland.
My aunt and uncle are the same. Chris (uncle) and Kris (aunt). I find them unbearable.
Lady bait!!!! Lol Alonzo you are so hilarious
Wait, so everybody's dead but her? Is anyone alive in that town?
I call that ending.
How could you not? The WORST "twist" of any movie ever.
Sounds like the worst movie I could ever imagine...
wow back when Christy used to wash her hair
The plot sounds silly, but at least Julianne Hough isn't the ghost.
She saw 1 dead person , she didn't know she died till the end , she killed her ex husband because he was a alcoholic freak , he didn't die until the end , she saw 1 : )
The storyline sounds bonkers i think i'll avoid watching this one
The movie is actually good , i need to buy the book now
The movie wasn't even horrible. Decent. But not horrible.
Dude, wtf WTF?! I love this channel but spoilers everywhere.
this must be based on a true story
ahem
Continued-/
Uuuggggggghhhhhh
wrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrryyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
I didn't like this movie
tbh this is a rubbish review of the movie! you make it sound so bad and you's have put loads of people off the movie when the movie is actually amazing, first of all she doesn't see dead people, the dead wife is like her guardian angel and helps her through it all and through the whole movie it seems like she's alive and with her the whole time! Second she doesn't think she kills her husband, she runs away from him because he is an alcoholic and he used to hurt hur and get angry at her easily
I've watched many of you're reviews in the last couple days (all of movie's I've already seen). I gotta ask...why do you put spoilers in your reviews without any warning? It's kinda irritating, ya know?
tbh this is a rubbish review of the movie!!!!! you make it sound so bad and you's have put loads of people off the movie when infact most of this doesn't actually happen
