Megavalanche 2017 counting dead bikes (RAW)

The Megavalanche is the biggest mountainbike downhill race in the world! It’s held once a year in Alpe D’huez in France. The race starts at 3330m and descends down 2600 vertical meters over a 21km course. In total in-between 1500-2000 idiots compete every year. They have to qualify first with a 200man mass start on a 9km course, and according to they’re qualifying placement they will be put into one of the mass start fields of the race (with about 400 riders). The first starting field is the Megavalanche (this is the main race that everyone wants to join). Only the first 35 riders from every qualifier heat make this race. Than comes the Challenger and after that the Amateurs start field. After those 3 fields you have the affinity 1 and affinity 2 fields. These guys won’t have a mass start, and have to ride with all the slower riders (and guys who had bad luck in the qualy).
This year I also ended in the Affinity 1 race because of a flat tire during the qualifier. That’s why I overtake so many guys in the race.

Thank you! How many tires repair kits should one bring

I take 3 innertubes and a tubeless repair set.
But during the qualyfier this year the tubeless repair kit with 5 CO2 cans could not save my race. So next year I will ride cushcore.
