It's so funny to me because plain Cheerios already have 5g protein from being oat based. These are just sprinkled with a pea protein powder essentially...
I’ve been looking for these at my local Walmart, Target and ShopRite but no one has them yet. I really want to try the Strawberry although I’d try both if I saw both. 8 grams of protein isn’t a lot but paired with Fairlife milk which has more protein than regular milk, it would be a good breakfast. Thanks for the review!
@@BeatlesandWebkinzI just went to 2 Walmarts and a Target near me for the second time and asked at their customer service desks if they have these and all 3 stores said no, they never got them. South Jersey must be on delayed delivery I guess. I’m not going out of my way to check other stores since it’s not that important to me. Plenty of other high protein cereals to try. Lucky that your part of the state has them.
Cheerios and sliced bananas is one of my favorite foods!!!! I also love the cheerios oat crunch cereals, I am eating a bowl now!!! Unless your an endurance athlete if protein deficient I don’t think the added protein is necessary… if this is something you’d choose to eat anyway it’s a bonus.. but I wouldn’t eat it strictly to get more protein… I bet the strawberry one would make great marshmallow treat bars!!!
I literally just looked those up on your channel yesterday to see if you had these reviewed and I found the one from 10 years ago your daughter did with your husband. I just purchased mine yesterday on a deal from Kroger for $1.99 each.
I honestly feel like they scare people from buying these things by putting "protein" on them or "healthy". I took a leap and bought the new "healthy" vanilla Life cereal and loved it, thankfully...but I was worried it would taste bad due to the labeling. They aren't doing themselves any favors by labeling them like this in my opinion, but maybe their sales say otherwise, who knows lol.
I've never understood putting extra protein in everything. A lot of the time the artificial protein just compromises the flavor although it sounds like these don't suffer from that bad aftertaste. I don't eat breakfast but I'd rather just eat a couple of hard boiled eggs with my lunch every day and that's 12 grams of protein right there.
I was the same with sugar in cereal as a kid, there must have been subliminal advertising at the time🤣. The cinnamon sounds interesting. Thanks for the review.
Huh. I've heard unfavorable things about these, and I've already seen them in my store's clearance section, so I got the idea that these were bad. I guess I'll have to try these the next time I see them and make my own opinion! Protein in cereal for me is always a plus, but the protein flavor/funky texture in most of them scares me away. My mom puts fresh bananas and berries in her cereal. I prefer the texture of freeze-dried, but since I've started using greek yogurt instead of milk, I use frozen berries instead. 😄
I was like your mom and do sliced bananas. I prefer fresh fruit in my cereal. I can’t do the freeze dried. I like Honey Nut Cheerios and so does my husband. He is training for a triathlon and what he does to increase his protein is he takes a premade protein shake and uses that as his milk. The Cinnamon sounds good to me. Great review.
I love Cheerios and would like these but I would never eat them as my breakfast because of all the added sugars... and calling these a "protein cereal" is just horrible. Regular Cheerios has 5g... and is actually "better" for you than these. Regular barely has any added sugars while these are packed with it. Nothing spells energy crash then hyping yourself up on sugar and within an hour *thud* As a snack or to pick at... sure but cereal would never be a meal for me lol. An egg gives you more protein.

Hi! Love all the cereal reviews! I love Cheerios! My favorite is the new fruity but I will definitely try that strawberry and cinnamon 🥰
Cheerios Oat crunch…they’re my favorite too😋 Sugar and banana on the plain ones is the best way …not sure where I learned that 🤷🏻♀️
They had Cinnamon Nut Cheerios in 1976 then came along Honey Nut Cheerios in 1979
I was lucky to get the normal size boxes of these for BOGO, and only $1.99 in total. Still haven’t tried them, but couldn’t pass that deal up 😂

I’m in North Jersey, near the New York border.

Does the strawberry one have seeds.I would like to try them but can't have seeds
I really liked the strawberry one, glad the protein didn’t add a flavor bc my kids happily ate it too

I always use protein powder on cereal too! Generally only at it to cereals that aren't already sweet though like Cheerios or Chex...
@@nberkelhe has done that as well! If we don’t have any premade shakes he will make his own and pour over.
So glad these didn't have that protein texture
