Seers say that we think there is a world of objects out there only because of our awareness. But what’s really out there are the Eagle’s emanations, fluid, forever in motion, and yet unchanged, eternal. . .The old seers, risking untold dangers, actually saw the indescribable force which is the source of all sentient beings. They called it the Eagle...They saw it is the Eagle who bestows awareness. The Eagle creates sentient beings so that they will live and enrich the awareness it gives them with life...They saw that the awareness of sentient beings flies away at the moment of death and floats like a luminous cotton puff right into the Eagle’s beak to be consumed. For the old seers that was the evidence that sentient beings live only to enrich the awareness that is the Eagle’s food.
Dr. Bill Lazonick combines the Macro and Micro of our current cancerous economic system that for me really pullls so many seemningly diverse threads together. I think my IQ went up 10 pts. Bravo.
My experience working at Intel was what finally drove me out of the tech industry. I worked at both the Hawthron Farm building processors and at the Jones Farm campus for chip design and communications. I fully understand the phrase "engineers just punching in". Firstly, I was astounded at the number of engineers on staff. At least two per shift for every piece of machinery on the manufacture line, even though it was technicians in bunny suits that did the actual chip work. The engineers were solely for maintainance. They would come in, punch the clock at reception, then immediately leave. All through their shift, they'd appear magically to punch in or out on the section clock, then at the end of the day they'd be back in reception punching out for the day. The two engineers who actually stayed on campus were usually playing a game or sleeping under their desk. It became readily apparent why processors cost what they did.
Haven't had a lot of time to watch all the latest demystifysi videos but every time I disappear and check back in you guys are absolutely on point like I never left. I was just watching some current events in real time and I'd like to share my thoughts on something I just witnessed,,,,,, Trump addressing Bank of America CEO Brian Moynihan,,,,,,,,
The idea of worker and innovation support is exactly what needs to be focused on. We need to understand fully what causes innovation and how to make it thrive besides stop taking money out of companies for just the advantaged.
Great to expose the depravity of the system. Genevieve Vaughn wrote very convincingly about the Gift Economy. The recent book The Serviceberry by Robin Wall Kimmerer is a short and sweet description of indigenous wisdom, and the economy of gifting. The importance of changing the view of ´resources´ as gifts of nature, to be used wisely, to be shared, in creating community. I recommend any of her books.
The world out there is not really as we think it is. We think it is a world of objects and it’s not. . .The world is as it looks and yet it isn’t. .It’s not as solid and real as our perception as been led to believe, but it isn’t a mirage either. The world is not an illusion, as it has been said to be; it’s real on the one hand, and unreal on the other. .We perceive. This is a hard fact. But what we perceive is not a fact of the same kind, because we learn what to perceive. There is nothing visual about the Eagle. The entire body of a seer senses the Eagle. There is something in all of us that can make us witness with our entire body. .The problem arises with man’s awareness; it is his awareness that becomes entangled and confused. At the crucial moment when it should be a simple case of the emanations acknowledging themselves, man’s awareness is compelled to interpret. The result is a vision of the Eagle and the Eagle’s emanations. But there is no Eagle and no Eagle’s emanations. What’s out there is something that no living creature can grasp - Castaneda

I don't think I've understood the toxic influence of financialization quite as much as I have from these conversations with Lazonick

I've been saying the same for years about buybacks, but the abuse of companies by capital markets.. That needs to be spread
This is just the mechanics of what Michael Hudson describes in his books.
Have you guys enabled adsense on UA-cam ?

I was testing to see if impressions increase with ads - went back to no midroll ads, pardon our dust 🏗️🚧👷♀️
@DemystifySci_Podcast ok good to know.
Shareholders value is fine as long share holder value more then just short turn returns.
Yeah, it's called catabolism.

Its a well choreographed show. The Rs and Ds play ping pong, to move the agenda along.
