    Could listen to this all day, the sound of the muk jong and the dragon soundtrack are very soothing

    I recently aquired my first dummy, and your video is very inspiring, I understand that one is supposed to create a sort of a connection with the dummy, or more like a connection with Wing Chun and yourself through the dummy. Your video expresses that, thank you for uploading it, greetings from Argentina!

    Very good! This is the way the mu ren zhuang (muk yan zhong) should be used. Excellent technique. Also, thank you for choosing something other than "Nan Er Dan Zi Qiang" as the background music.

    You know what makes this awesome is the really inspirational, 'Old yeller' sounding music playing over this.
    I do enjoy the video, and the form seems to be good, but the music really throws it all off- in a good way.

    I dont care rather its not good for mma or not its a breath taking style of martial art. Simplicity, economy of motion, continuity its all there.

    Hi, not a stupid question. There are locking moves with the leg when fighting close quarters. You won't see much of it unless you know what to look for. There are also the low kicks to the knee, behind the knee, front kick attack.

    i think its pretty important... the legs can be a great weapon if trained correctly... if u dont train them much they become a weakness... and ur only as strong as ur weakest link if u know what i mean

  • @doublebongsau
    @doublebongsau 12 років тому

    not a stupid question. the leg is there to teach u spacing and how to move around a body if u notice in the form this guy is doing kicks. but the forms are not drills. its the drills for wing chun kicking that are intense that are not shown or seen in the forms.

    Wing Chun is very impressive indeed when combined with karate could become a very powerful force when using these to protect leaks you could become a very powerful force to be reckoned with in a very deadly deadly weapon it all depends how you use it and how it could save your life 🥋☯️🙏😌🙏☯️🥋

    Very nice. Im going to ask a stupid question though but umm on the dummy is the leg used in parts of drills. I have seen a few other people practicing on the dummy but the leg never seems to be used. Again im sorry I know its a stupid question.

    As my Sifu always says, slow is steady, steady is fast. Practice slow, get it right, speed and precision follow naturally.

  • @urmomandad
    @urmomandad 11 років тому

    Every move is for a different attack (based on what your opponent would do), but no technique is ever going to be good for every situation, one must know when to apply technique but principals are forever. Even if you don't break out the crazy wooden dummy hands. Practicing on the dummy alone will harden your forearms and calcify your bones which is why I practice on it :)

    Hey may I ask is that a Koo Sang? If not could I ask if they still make them ... I'll looks like a good Jong?

  • @ozzsihing
    @ozzsihing 11 років тому

    Hi mate. The dummy contains the fighting techniques of the system. The lower arm is a body shot. The upper arms arm punches of different angles. Not necessarily left or right arm but they might be. The key is to understand and apply after learning the movements. A movement without having the experience to understand and apply is just a movement. Seeya.

    The arms simulate arms of a person, while the middle extension simulates the midsection and the bottom part simulates legs.

    Trapping techniques, building up strength and dexterity. Precision in striking. Hitting on a dummy builds up the ability for if you do fight someone, you are able to hit strong and hard.

    Next time you videotape please make sure your footwork is included. @DaisukeNomura The dummy leg is kicked in the form, it also represents an obstacle for you to move around as you do your forms the dummy and change the centerline( your training footwork a,lot on the Mook Jong)
    .

    the music is poor choice for video, the form and shifting looked good ! the only thing is , you look like your hitting directly at wrist bone point, with your tan sau,, contact point should be slightly higher up past wrist bend point. nevertheless pretty good showing.
