The harmony between Katie, Ellen and Matt is truly special.😊❤
Yes fellows I agree, and Matt is steady as a rock seems like nothing throws him off. Ellen very beautiful sound just loved it. Katie always so very enjoyable and interesting to watch, such a soft and smooth voice,
All the birds singing with them makes it even more special, just blessed.
Yes,my late brother loved Don Williams,my brother was my heart,such a beautiful cover.God bless you.Ian,Belfast,Northern Ireland,U.K.
One of the great advantages of being 70 years old is that I heard Don Williams sing this song live about 45 years ago.
Don and his band were the half time show at the Canadian Finals Rodeo that year in Edmonton, Alberta
I used to be a working musician and so I know a little about singing, harmonies and musicianship. I've never heard any better music choreography! Brilliant!
The Petersen formula of perfection is back for 2022! Wonderful song choices, great interpretation, excellent musicianship, amazing harmonies, lovely scenery, pure videography and of course beautiful smiles!!!!!!!!!
Don Williams was arguably one of the best of all time. Only fair that the greatest family of all time covers him.
I absolutely love you guys and my wife and I will come to Branson to see you soon. Ellen...you have a wonderful voice, but there's something else I have noticed about you...your smile. When you are not singing, I love how you look at your family with such warmth. You truly bring a joy to us when we watch you. God really speaks through you and your family. My wife has terminal cancer and maybe a year or two left, so this song really hit home with us.
God bless them. I face this struggle with my 3 year old son. receive my affection from Brazil. Know that you are not alone on this journey!
Praying for you and your wife! For more encouraging music check out Joey + Rory and their story! :) I agree the Petersons and this song are amazing! :)
“”When you are not singing, I love how you look at your family with such warmth.“ Me too.
My husband loved this song, brings back sweet memories of one I loved deeply. Beautiful.
Julianne is such a beautiful sweet girl. You need to get her to do more covers like she did with dreams….🥰🥰
When Emmitt plays that little break with harmonics is just a perfect touch.
I came back and all I xan say is, listening to this song is just...well...there ARE NO WORDS...other than AMAZING and AWESOME!
Beautiful song and awesome harmony! Love it!
another lovely rendition. great to have you guys back. we all missed you
Props to Emmett for the tasty dobro harmonics at 2:40. A+ . Take a bow.
Now all you guys need is more BASS SOLOES!!!!!
Beautiful. Simply beautiful. I love this family and their music. I'm pretty much on the tail end of life. Sometimes, just listening to them sing and play, I get a reprieve, and my memories come alive. I'm sure that sounds dumb to most people. Thank you for sharing your God given talents and know you are appreciated dearly. And that violin. Wow!!!
Till life on earth is through….we definitely need the Petersens!
I’m lost for words, it was so beautiful. 😍
I’m sure Don Williams is proud of this.
Beautifully done. A great take on that wonderful song. Old Don would be thrilled. Great job Ellen. Everybody on point as usual. Just love those family harmonies. Doesn't seem to matter which of you or how many of you are singing. Always seamless. It certainly is a better day when we get a Petersen's video. Thanks for sharing your gifts.
Your grandpa had great taste. This is a truly beautiful love song. Ellen's lead vocal is somewhere between perfect and ethereal. I just love the harmonies too, just a fantastic job by Katie and Matt. Combined with the wonderful instrumental work by Emmett Katie and Karen make this one of my Petersen favorites!
Ellen's vocals.........there are no words! Just listening to this again and again. Thank you for the experience!
I love the outdoor settings in your videos almost as much as I love you guys. Bravo,
I wore out an old Don William's tape when I was a kid. GOD bless you all.
The more I listen, the more I love it and just may be my personal fav Petersen Band song. Thank you for this delight.
Loved the harmony, I’m so glad the Petersens are back singing on you tube again.
Absolutely gorgeous! That's a very low 'get', Ellen (2:34). The Petersens' versatility never ceases to amaze me.
This one caught me. Subscribed and liked. Amazingly good sound in an outdoor setting.
I love the Northern Parula warbler singing in the background at the end of the video.... Oh, and it goes without saying, Don Williams would have loved this....
This is the first time I ever heard this song, man those voices really do it
the harmony is soooo soothing
Don Williams was my mother's favorite singer when I was growing up. She passed away in 2020. You did a wonderful job on this song even if it did make me cry.
You nailed it Emmett! Mom, I'm glad you miced up your bass, because now it's coming through loud and clear.
I totally agree. Special Thanks to the audio engineer!!! Been waiting a long time to actually hear Momma on the bass.
I have played all my life since I was fifteen yrs old I now 72 and still playing and I think you all are great your Harmony is great and musical talent is really very good and on the money good luck to you always and God Bless!!
How did I miss this? I love your music and I love Don Williams. This is great!
Omg!this is Good music, congrats to the Petersens, from Mexico, loved,👍
Guys I love Don Williams! Y'all knocked this out of the park! Beautiful! Ellen, your voice is so powerful and pure! Amazing!!!😍
You guys are happiness itself for me! Keep it up and God Bless!
Happy birthday to the wonderful and only Matt.
That was beautiful! Sibling harmonies always sound good but you guys are the best! I love this song!
Always loved this Don Williams song. Outstanding harmonies. Thank you, God bless
Found one of your videos, watched three more. Enjoy your music.
Just when I thought you couldn't get any better...THIS came along!!! Thank you so much for perfection in every way!
I came back yet again...and as I listened the harmonies reminded me of an actual enlightenment...heavenly sounds as well as thoughts.
That's the way it should be sung. So beautiful
I respect people that commit to their craft and it's invigorating when they excel in it - rarer than it used to be but still around. The Peterson's however add something special to the mix that can only come from a place of love, and that makes them downright legendary.
Have a cupcake day! : )
Always so nice to see such a beautiful family. God bless from Florida
it´s something beautiful. Beautiful song and beautiful voices.
This may sound odd, but I can physically feel the harmony here resonate. This may be my favorite video so far.
Wow these harmonics are wonderfull!
Five o clock in the morning! That little things ( your songs) are the way that God use to join our hearts Many thanks Petersen family. Ciao. Gianfranco Italy.
Ciao Gianfranco. Vedo che ti alzi presto la mattina. Come sempre belle parole le tue. Ciao. Roberto
Don Williams has always been one of my favorite country music artists. I am thrilled to hear a group as great as yourselves duplicate "The gentle Giants" music. Looking forward to seeing & hearing your music in person this summer 😊 keep up the gr8 work!
All Beautiful! The dobro makes this EPIC!
The harmonies are magical! The instrumental skills are amazing & flawless! Emmett's dobro playing is icing on the cake! Y'all are amazing as always! :)
I cannot for a moment imagine this craft being produced solely for money; this is a pure love of music.
Had a rough day in an overall rough month. The message of this song, and the rich harmony (sung with such emotion) lifted it for me. Thanks!
The Petersens clearly in their comfort zone and so very comforting to us . Thank you guys for this beautiful song . Love you !
have loved Don WIlliams song since long time, thank you Petersens, From Madagascar
Beautiful vocal Ellen -and glorious dobro Emmett. Good to resurrect forgotten songs.
Gosh, I hadn't thought of Don Williams in years. What a great song well sung to bring him back to my memory.
Wonderful harmonies, very nice singing, dobro and great vibes of all 💞🎵
Every time I listen this song l think how many passion you put in this work. But I suppose you do not consider that a work. Good night from Italy. Gianfranco. Ciao.
Love this group! I appreciate the way that their voices are melded on the microphone with traditional instruments like the the plaintive violin, backup from bass, guitar, and mandolin.
Don Williams was such an awesome song writer and singer, and The Petersens sing one of my favorites of his songs in such a beautiful and sweet way that it truly honors him. Ellen takes the lead with great harmonies from Matt and Katie. This family band is REMARKABLE as truly decent people who are great singers and musicians and who operate on PURE UNADULTURATED TALENT!
I love all of your music, and I love the grandpa connection, because I have 18 grandchildren and you can't play favories. But shhhh! This is my favorite!!
Stellar, spectacular, spine-tingling harmonies. As usual! The Beatles and Beach Boys have got nothing on you guys. Love everything else about this song too, especially Emmet's dobro.
An absolutely beautiful cover of one of my favourite Don Williams songs. The Gentle Giant would be so proud. Thank you so much.
I was missing you so much.Beautiful people you made my day so much better. Many thanks from Croatia.
Tear-jerkingly beautiful.
wow. What perfect family harmony. As good as it gets. Bless you all with all God's goodness and grace.
Listening to this song bring back memories of Don Williams and his beautiful songs.
Nice to see The Petersens again, and to be able to read Liz's captions once more!
I'm very happy to have heard this song. Really carried in Heaven. Many thanks once again Petersen family and all your friends. ♥️ From Italy.
Every time I see The Petersens I just love them more. Blissful ❤
Absolute perfection! I’m thankful to the Lord for this family.
Every detail from Emmett making the dobro chime, Karen maintaining perfect timing on bass, and Matt, Katie, and Julianne in perfect rhythm all topped off with great vocals and unbelievable sibling harmonies, and Ellen's strong and beautiful solo.........perfection! I listen to your music almost every day and will never grow tired of doing so.
If I ever again hear this song performed without the chime of the dobro at the beginning of verse 2, I will declare the performance incomplete. Whoever arranged this song to include that small but special harmonic made a good choice. Second and third plays had me listening for that inclusion.
@@joycesmith8299 Emmett comes up with those creative touches, he has an incredible flair!
@@Liz.Newton Hi Liz. I am sure many other inquiring minds here in the comment section join me in sending you much thanks for the helpful snippets of info you share with us. It actually enhances experiencing the music. Really and truly, thank you.
@@joycesmith8299 You are very welcome! For me, putting music out's half the story, the other half is removing every barrier so it's immersive. I added your 'chime' into the captions, it's a beautiful detail!
Vero, ho già paragonato Emmett a The Edge degli U2 accidenti non mi ricordo come si chiama, comunque entrambi con i loro strumenti chitarra elettrica e resofonica ti fanno sentire il Paradiso. Ciao dall'Italia.
What a wonderful rendition of this song. You are all perfect for doing it
Oh wow, I really enjoyed that. Harmonies were just brilliant. Ellen has a timeless voice that I could listen to all day. And that must be some great gear you are using to capture the live performance so cleanly. Thanks.
They record onto a portable Zoom recorder, a powerful little thing about the size of three stacked cellphones. You might spot Katie with it in a future outro ;)
Magnificent song, you are a family of consecrated artists. I am with you from the first day. A big hug of fraternity from Valencia (Spain). 🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸
They are such good people which is so rare
Every time I listen to this.....I love it even more.
When I was a kid I was told by my sisters if you could blow all the seeds from the dandelion in one blow you get to make a wish. Oh yeah awesome job with the song.
Will never forget seeing Don Williams in Ft. Smith a while back. Hope to see you in Branson soon.
Such a beautiful song. That took me back about 45 years or so and brought back some old memories. I really liked your version of it, thank you!
I have a lengthy playlist. When this recording comes up I find myself regularly having it replay two or three times before letting the playlist continue. Love the harmony, the lead, and the relaxing nature of it.
Gorgeous cover in perfect Petersens style! The arrangement, with Emmett's dobro in great evidence, makes this song absolutely unique. The vocal harmonies of Ellen, Katie and Matt are perfect as always. And finally Ellen's voice, which this time also reaches very low notes, is always a real dream !! As usual: thank you guys! ❤
Outstanding performance. Took a second listen with a good pair of headphones and man, the mix is sooo clear and perfectly balanced! No reverb that I could detect and the EQ and stereo imaging is just heavenly. Those Ear Trumpet Labs microphones sound so magically good also.
One of my Dear old Mum's favourites to her to see Don Williams at Wembley in 1979 brilliant night out you guys smashed it 👏 👍
Any grandpa story- I'm in! Thanks for the story Intro. Makes the song that more special! Beautifully performed- as always!
I love so many different types of music, mostly far different from this. But even when I accidentally click on a The Peterson's video and the harmonies start, I can't leave, I have to listen all the way through. This takes me away, it lifts me to a place where there's nothing but the power of acoustic heartfelt melodic sweetness. The closest thing I can match it to is the best work by The Chicks. And that's an incredibly high compliment.
So good. With the world open again finally I am suddenly feeling like maybe I should finally go to Branson.
Once again Ellen’s vocals are mesmerizing. The harmony is spot on. Nothing to say but thank you for this.
Perfection, amazing performance. This family is the number one singing family around the world. I love this family, y'all have outstanding talent and the voices from heaven.
Whoa, The Petersen's, Just blew me away again, Petersen's anything by Don Williams, you can "own" it..
Such beautiful harmonies...love everything you do! I just discovered this, literally brought tears to my eyes!
So good to see you all again, & I too look forward to seeing/hearing more from Julianne! Mandolins rule!
Beautiful song, great performance. And the dobro is sooo awesome.
what a great version of the great classic song this will be one of our songs played at our wedding thanks and great job
Beautiful rendition Petersen family, all the love from Baguio City, Philippines! 💕🇵🇭
*LYRICS - Till the Rivers All Run Dry*
------------
Till the rivers all run dry
Till the sun falls from the sky
Till life on earth is through
I'll be needing you
I know sometimes you may wonder
From little things you say and do
But there's no need for you to wonder
If I need you, 'cause I need you
Till the rivers all run dry
Till the sun falls from the sky
Till life on earth is through
I'll be needing you
Too many times I don't tell you
Too many things get in the way
And even though sometimes I hurt you
Still you show me, in every way
Till the rivers all run dry
Till the sun falls from the sky
Till life on earth is through
I'll be needing you
Till life on earth is through
I'll be needing you
