Combined with the wonderful instrumental work by Emmett Katie and Karen make this one of my Petersen favorites!

Don Williams was my mother's favorite singer when I was growing up. She passed away in 2020. You did a wonderful job on this song even if it did make me cry.

If I ever again hear this song performed without the chime of the dobro at the beginning of verse 2, I will declare the performance incomplete. Whoever arranged this song to include that small but special harmonic made a good choice. Second and third plays had me listening for that inclusion.

Outstanding performance. Took a second listen with a good pair of headphones and man, the mix is sooo clear and perfectly balanced! No reverb that I could detect and the EQ and stereo imaging is just heavenly. Those Ear Trumpet Labs microphones sound so magically good also.

But even when I accidentally click on a The Peterson's video and the harmonies start, I can't leave, I have to listen all the way through. This takes me away, it lifts me to a place where there's nothing but the power of acoustic heartfelt melodic sweetness. The closest thing I can match it to is the best work by The Chicks. And that's an incredibly high compliment.
