- WALKING IN PORTOFINO, ITALY: This walk was filmed starting at 8:50 pm on Sunday, August 2nd, 2020. After the walk I had some pizza along the Coroso Umberto 1. My favorite part of the night was riding my ebike back to Rapallo at 11pm with lighting off in the distance. 🎧For an even more immersive experience, be sure to put on your headphones and listen in 3D audio.

As an Italian i feel very honoured to read all these nice comments about my home from you friendly people! We italians are disappointed often in our daily life because of the problems we have to deal with in our country. But it feels good to at least be sorrounded by the beauty. I honestly don't think that we are the most beautiful place on earth because all of your countries have so much beauty. Every country on our planet is full of beauty. Anyways thank you so much for your nice comments and i hope you all will be visiting us soon :) Its always a pleasure for us to meat our lovely guests from everywhere in the world.

So amazing at night, the restaurants with the lights reflecting in the calm waters.
Those amazing boats with their gangplanks luring you aboard.
And the traditional late meals, people relaxing having a glass or three of wine, late into the evening.
I hope when you finished this walk, you too sat down to a lovely meal and a glass of your favorite beverage.
We are so frantic and fearful right now here in the Northern Washington State we have forgotten or maybe never have had, this joy.

Hey Rik, I hope all is going well. Really the evening time here in Italy is the best time to go out and film, but there is a pretty short window where my camera can decent video. During the day, especially in August, it is just too dang hot out and people are inside or maybe at the beach. Yes, after this walk I sat down at one of the restaurants there on yacht side of the harbor. I had a pizza and just hung out for a bit. I rode my bike back to Rapallo at about 11pm. That was my favorite part of the night. Everything back in the states sounds a bit nutty right now. Besides wearing masks indoors, things are back to normal here and people are just doing what they do. You and my sister aren't neighbors anymore by the way. They just sold their house there in your town and are moving cross country. Thanks for watching the video! I am working on the Cefalu walk now. Ciao.

We usually don't have the heat or humidity but are beaches are pretty lame here.
What a relaxing way to zen out, is that the motor bike you use in your videos?
Washington State,in spite of a rather small number of Covid deaths, is one of the more restrictive places.
I hope your Sister and her husband find a great place to live, Ferndale/Bellingham has a moderate climate and you don't feel crowded....I hope wherever the end up has some of the joy of life you experience in Italy.

Absolutely love Portofino it’s gorgeous. Italy have got it right, no big shopping malls therefore the small towns have lovely shops in them that survive. GB on the other hand, we have complained the high street is a lost cause, yes it is and that’s because we did the American style thing and build retail parks and moved all the shops there. Love Italy they do it right.

Both are good places. I went to both last year on two separate occasions and much preferred Amalfi Coast over Cinque Terre. Just my opinion.

I loved this "walk" - very relaxing and loved that it was in the evening. Can we have some more in the evening with the lovely lights please!! We might even return to do this "walk" tonight. italy is my first choice for vacation
I’m from Rome I suggest you to do a walking tour in Cortina D’Ampezzo during the winter and in Porto Rotondo/Porto Cervo at around the 15th of August next year
Dang..that is pretty far north. We aren't going back to the states for Christmas though so maybe we'll take a family trip up there. We've been to Bolzano before. This summer I was planning on going up to the lake right next to the town you suggested but even with the whole summer off, I still didn't have enough time. I'll check it out if we have a chance. I've never been over to Sardinia. Maybe that will be next summer. :) Thanks for the suggestions!
