I love your channel! We donʻt have any good thrift stores or antique malls here in Hawaiʻi, so itʻs fun to go along with you on your shopping trips. I love watching your booth develop, too. Happy New Year!
Omgee! This was so much fun to watch! After watching a slew of Debbie Downers ( no disrespect to anyone named Debbie) this week, you are refreshingly encouraging and positive about everything and everyone! I'm pretty sure the other vendors appreciate your kind words and you unselfishly sharing their business in a delightful 'positive manner' on your channel! WELL DONE!!!❤❤❤
I think Toledo is/was known for its glass factories such as Libbey Glass since the turn of the century (perhaps that's why you find a lot of glass there and not in MI). Years ago we visited the Libbey Glass museum in Toledo and that was pretty cool. Maumee Antique mall looks promising - field trip!! Thanks for the tour.
I walk at the Maumee antique mall three times a week.. Booth 2628 is done so well. Great design. I love that place. My dad worked for 43 years for Libbey Glass. They have plants all over the world . My brother just retired after 42 years. We have half a basement full of the glassware that dad made. I've recently started using it. Toledo does have an architectural salvage warehouse. It's downtown. Not sure of location but heard it's a great place. Architectural Artifacts, Inc.
The item you were asking what it is. It was a cylinder with holes in it and had a handle. It is an old paint roller! Would love to see how it is used. at 10:36 in video
I love your channel..I've had my booth at Hodgepodge antiques and collectibles in Monroe Georgia since June. I love your advice and positive creative personality!
I saw sooooo many things that I could use for my booth! I have crates and I rearrange them often to fit my booth esthetic, everyone always loves the crate shelving.
I wish people in my area liked vintage and antiques...but NO one does. I had a lot of pieces in my booth that after a year...I had to let them go for pennies on the dollar...so sad. My customers like to" Look" at them , reminisce and tell me their stories.but that doesn't pay the rent. Now I'm having to sell items that don't excite me...I don't Love them..but I can pay the bills. So...I don't know how much longer I will have a booth. I'm so sad. I love what I do ( did) I'm happy that you are thriving in Michigan! I lived there for 68 years, now I am in a retirement community..they are mostly " downsizing, but still love to come and LOOK...not buy. They are also on fixed incomes that doesn't really leave room for extras. I'm just beside myself as to what to do. My JOY is gone. Finding that " special" item in the wild what is happening to our past?
Wow what a cool mall! I need to watch your video again to make a mental note & jot down some of the great displays and display ideas- I have my 3 big booths and they are always as you say "a work in progress"! I love the snack area in there too for taking a break!
Sorry...forgot to add...I have never been but planning a trip to The Russell Industrial Center at 1600 Clay St. In Detroit. It's a revamped factory that is now used for booth vendors and handmade artisans. They definitely have a lot of everything and in one building...and there is secure parking! I would love to see your visit if you decide to go. 💜
Yes, a hotel next to an antique store!! One of my favorites recently is The Country Inn and Suites in MI City, right next door to an antique store. I love scrapbooking there with my daughters and I stay over on Sun so I can peruse the antiques on Monday!!❤
Next time you come to Ohio in search of deals, stop by The Copper Kettle at 1544 S, Byrne Road, Toledo OH. Many rooms of great stuff. Know you will like it. Open 7 days a week. Mon-Sat. 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, Sunday 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
Truly made me want to take a road trip! I am off to Tennessee in October to see what is selling there for the upcoming Christmas season. One of these days I plan on taking a trip to Ohio, to see what treasures await. Thanks for the lookie loo, of fantastic goodies! ❤
I'm a new subscriber. I am so very pleased to see a Strong Female business lady making videos where I grew up. (Lived in Wayne Westland for 32 years) and now reside in Monroe..15 min east of Toledo...so I was excited to see places I've been hunting for treasures and some I cannot wait to visit because of your videos! Even stranger that I have been to Plaza Antiques...and believe I may have purchased an item or 2 from your booth, lol prior to finding your channel on UA-cam. I cannot get enough! 🥰 I've found amazing salvage at Architectural Salvage Warehouse in Detroit..but bring a friend along and go during the day since it's not the greatest area for us girls! I cannot wait to follow you on your adventures, best of luck!
Great tour of fun places. 🥰 I liked you pointing out the highlights such as the turned out chairs, color matching, pops of a certain color. I have a small booth in Dallas. 😊

You are correct. I think Libbey Glass is still there. I took a tour when I was younger.

Dont listen to your mum! The indian or cowboy ? picture wasgreat!
Amish country, barn sales, flea markets, thrift stores there.
Brass is getting harder to find. I went to a few antique malls and didn't see any brass candle holders.
I think everyone is buying it now...
