- Today I venture back to Casey Creek in search of some beautiful wild and holdover rainbows. I also bump into a current subscriber and show him around the creek and some of the sneaky holes most other anglers overlook.

Thanks for checking it out. More videos will be pumping out real soon 👍
How warm does this creek get during the summer? If it gets above 70-75F, it is not able to hold wild fish. Being in low land like that, I would suspect it gets too warm during the summer.
It's fed from an underground spring about a mile up from where they stock. Water doesn't get above 70 for about another mile or so down from where they stock in the summer months.
That being said, those fish you caught were gorgeous. And definitely colored up like wild fish. So I could be dead wrong about my assumption of how warm it gets
@@tlkoutdoors well then it certainly could be wilds! It was definitely obvious the coloration differences between some of the fish you caught. I’d love to find wild rainbows that size local to me
@@CatchingLimits the giveaway for me are those full bright orange fins. You're not gonna see fish come out of a concrete hatchery with fins like that
@@tlkoutdoors agreed. Not very often. I have seen them here in Va depending on which hatchery stocked them. However, either all the fish or none of the fish have them on a given stocking. In your case, each fish was different even tho they’re from the same creek. Seems wild to me
