We used to have an economy where an average guy could go to high school, get a job or good apprenticeship right after graduation, and be ready to buy a house and become the primary breadwinner by 23 to 25. This made for radically different dating dynamics. People in high school or right out of high school took relationships seriously because they knew they would be ready to start hitting those traditional “ milestones” within a few short years. After the 1990 recession our politicians and the ultra affluent offshored most of the solid middle class jobs and left the American people
with crappy service jobs that paid 1/2 as much and had no benefits.

Yes as a young woman….. women want providers and to have sexual polarity it’s recommended to always be with a man who’s at least 7-9 years older….. and I’m attracted to men who are 15-25 years older than me
Why would I be loyal or want a man who can’t provide
I’m a feminine beautiful woman and I can pick and choose … and I choose 100% provider men

I was thrown out of the family home at 16 in 1986, I was on the streets and got addicted to drugs running with a bad pack.
Managed to get a skill and found jobs, got clean found a girl and climbed out of the hole.
If I had to do all that today I seriously think that I would not make it.
I don't have any children of my own but I'm deeply worried about the you that of today and how badly they have been screwed over. It's sickening.

Life is hard enough but I was willing to work to achieve. My issue is that opiates killed my whole family and left me with a disabled and depraved father who needs 24/7 care we can't afford. Which means, you guessed it, taking care of him and having no life; being broke and having no space to bring anyone over or have personal time. Something a lot bigger going on here than just "you didn't try hard enough." For reference my dad used to be someone who could easily make six figures in a few months. Prescription drugs flooded my family from all sides and suddenly he's like a 9-year-old who plays foul dirty pranks and is abusive despite depending on us. It is insanity. I stopped going to therapy because there is nothing wrong with me and talking about it doesn't change the circumstances. I shine whenever he's not around. God help me. All the money I saved up got spent buying my family a car. Instead of having my own kids I'm taking care of my dad. Sigh.

I was raised as a Jehovah Witness. There was religion. There was community. The young ladies were often gorgeous and dressed to the nines at our conventions. Yet none of it helped me because my father was abusive, controlling, manipulative and failed to teach me any man skills. Not only was I not allowed to chase the young beauties I also didn’t have the confidence and fortitude as a man to even say “hi” to them. So community isn’t everything. Our fathers are everything. And if they’re neglectful most likely we won’t win.

Religion is here for thousands of years and it never made any good... look at the history.. only wars hatred, suffering, manipulation etc.. like do you think in medieval times people were happier becouse of the religion? Seriously? The last thing what this society need is a more of a psychopatic christian religion which is totally abusive ... And no, christianity is not at the decline... more and more people worshipping at the streets, christian conferences are bigger every year... The reason you can't own land anymore and the prices are skyrocketing for even basic housing is because people at the top realized that EVERYONE needs a place to live, and that if they just start buying up loads of houses and create a shortage of houses, they can then dictate the price of rent. This will then drive up the price of rent since the supply of houses is WAY lower than the amount of people looking to buy a house. So they are forced to rent, and the cost of rent is beyond insane. I currently pay $2k a month for rent on a one bedroom one bathroom apartment. Couple that with my own expenses and how am I supposed to even begin saving for a house? Not realistic.

The answer is philosophy. Religion provided values, meaning, and purpose. The modern era threw that away and gave way to hedonism and nihilism. With teachings on justice, moral good, virtue, and vice, we can have everyone pursue lives worth living. Finding meaning in suffering. Understanding that we did not choose this crumbling society, but that we can and WILL make a better one. Good men and women. It's not over.

It would be fascinating if it wasn't so tragic, looking back over the last fifty years at the path of destruction of the feminist movement. Having lived through it, you'd be hard pressed to convince me that the entire thing wasn't a psyop intended to result in the destruction of our society. I'm not placing blame on men or women -- we only know what we're taught. It's my observation that young men AND young women on the whole are pretty unhappy, despite the masks they wear or what they present on their socials. My hope is that the pendulum begins to swing the other way and enough young people wake up, wrestle back control of their lives, and recognize the importance of strong community for their futures. Kudos to you for working to help that to happen. Huge challenge.

It’s my belief that this void was the space needed for Marxism/resentiment (Nietzsche preferred the French word due to it being bigger in scope) to creep into our collective unconscious and take root.

And what motivated the feminist movement and mass desire for women to liberate themselves to and not be dependent on crappy men? It didn't just spring up out of nowhere I'm afraid. A considerable percentage of men have always failed at their role, it just wasn't obvious from the outside with a wife and children to help him appear better than what was really going on. Women don't stay or get hitched to these types of men today because they don't have to. Feminism is a symptom not the cause.

Thank you for this video, you really hit the nail on the head!
About the 'Landownership vs. Fantasy' part, really hit home...
Young people can't start families here because housing prices are going trough the roof and beyond. An avarage home here in The Netherlands cost €433000,- / $462000,-, and the highest rent prices of Europe.
Which is unaffordable for the youth!
25 y/o man here from the Netherlands. Single. Still living with my parants. Taking care of my family and working full time. Now playing with my music group twice a week. Making long walks in nature every day, does wonders.
I have a few people around who TRULY care about me, and I care a LOT about them. But as of the day of today: Making truly deep new connections is like finding a nail in a haystack.
Mainly as from a social point of view,
people are way too serious about themselves and their (unrealistic) standards. It is killing themselves. Because no one can meet those standards even the one who sets the standards (consciously and unconsciously).
If we realise to start beign 'sincere' instead of beign 'serious', a lot of change can happen.
When we can look at people for who they are, instead of who whe wish them to be... Imagine...
There are enough Men for Women and enough Women for Men. Even with autism spectrum, I too find it difficult to make new meaningfull connections, not as diffucult as it was in the past. But I'm not giving up!
This is just my perspective, feel free to criticise...
    Kind regards

Awesome video my friend! It's full of food for thought! On the matter of video games now, I personally love playing them whether alone or with friends and I use them as insipiration and motivation other than enternaintment only. The problem arises only when you have an addiction and are using video games to constantly escape from real life challenges or problems. As long as you conquer your goals in life no matter how small they are and have other hobbies as well, then you can enjoy video games fully. They are meant to make your life a little more fun and drive you to move forward, not destroy you. It is you who can be your worst enemy, not video games.

I've been researching extensively on reverse engineering religion in a way this generation can receive. It's very difficult because it pretty much has to be secular from the outside, and the spiritual components kinda have to be hidden in other ritualistic activities, music, art, and community-building.

The moment you try to obfuscate the truth in order to pander to ignorance, all you're doing is breeding the conditions for greater ignorance to arise because ultimately the mystery will intrigue a percentage and they'll inevitably misinterpret the obfuscated image in their attempt to unveil it.
The zeitgeist will shift. I think it is about to happen, in the same way it happened for a short while back in the 60's. Out of pressure and trauma, more people are forced to start thinking, and become receptive.
The truth can withstand scrutiny. Always. I think we're mature enough now to not need to sugar coat anything. What we really need is living demonstration. If someone could just figure out how to walk on water.. just once..

Back in the day people would just go hang out at a friend's house, go to the beach, camp, BBQ, whatever ... it seems like these days people only want to meet for a specific goal. But mostly people just seem to be home. Looking at the census data there should be younger people living in the area but we rarely see them at all. We went camping a few months ago and there barely any kids or young adults, mostly just elderly boomers.

I still can't figure out what to do about land ownership/conquer. It's not like we are going to form a group of friends and invade some place. What can we do to replace it but still feel the "sensation" or glory of conquering?

Honestly, even life inside colleges is pretty lonely. When you are not studying (which is pretty rare), it's hard to find someone that you actually have fun with, you can't really have another conversation than about the academic subject you both study. Making friends in high school was way more fun and relationship had way more purpose !

College is absolutely brutal for young men without a social edge. If you're like me and do what you came there for expect to be alone 100% of the time. Girls will ignore you, and if you're lucky, maybe you're good with words and can say a word or 2. It's the best time to get into a relationship but the hardest time. 23 and still 0 luck with women. There’s a handful of things I disagree with you on. Like the loneliness for example. However the housing prices absolutely spot on. My grandfather could make 40k a year and pay for a big house and a family of 3 with a wife who could stay home. This is the main issue in my opinion. The value of money is collapsing. You shouldn’t need to make 80k, 90k and 100k plus to support a basic family. It’s outrageous.

  • @derekhanson9915
    @derekhanson9915 Місяць тому +1

Complicated issue. You are right on here. But there is way more. We have a 21 year old son. I’m 63. I was able to buy a house when I was in my late 20’s. No way to do that now. Worried about our young people not being about to own. Join clubs and community to meet people. That’s what you mean about religion. You’re right. But it is still not easy even if you are out going with strangers, but it helps. Everyone needs to get off their phones and do something with others. Try something new and move you body with others in new communities.

Attracting friends or romantic partners requires SOMETHING of a person. Young men can EXPLORE interests, hobbies, potential skills that might turn into future work. VOLUNTEER for a good cause or Non-Profit. The "lonely young men" you describe at least have SOME responsibility for their own lives. Spending all one's socil time ONLINE or Playing Video Games or smoking weed, does NOT make one attractive ass a friend or romantic partner. (And women are NOT responsible for so many young men being STUCK in this teenager mode). No one's gong to come knock on the basement door and say "'I'd like to be your girl friend" In short: GET OFF LINE, Get OFF Dating Apps. LIMIT time playing videos. MAKE SOME EFFORT to grow and improve and EXPAND your life

  • @TheWolfgangGrimmer

Indirectly related, but as a guy in my thirties dealing with long-term unemployment and social isolation, I've been recently wondering why all adult socializing has to be done around activities that are otherwise self-destructive. I mean, I don't have the budget to go out drinking or partying every week. But even if I did, those aren't the sorts of thing I would _want_ to be doing with others. ...Wait, did you just say I spend a lot of time playing video games in order to cultivate my will to power because there's no avenues available to do it in reality? Well, judging by the specific ways in which play games, that's... exactly what it's all about, I'd think.
