Amazing progress, it's looking great, the CS is a lovely engine - if only I had the space. Your surface grinder is excellent - I could do with one just like that. Seeing slide hammers in use still makes me twitchy, had a bit of an accident with one of those once upon a time - rule number one, never leave part of your hand in the way of the weight!!!!!! That hydraulic puller looks pretty fantastic, made getting those fairly large flywheels off look like child's play. ....ooh and best of luck with the arm repair, hope they treat you like royalty.
I rescued a half dozen of these stones from a terrible fate, if our paths ever cross I'd be honored to palm one off on you. Being home made this hammer has a killer edge on it which actually focuses the mind and means I've never smashed a finger a finger with it, can see how the nicely contoured commercial slide hammers lul folk into a false sense of security.

Maybe you're right, your slide hammer looking like it would hurt, acts as a permanent reminder that it would hurt and therefore you don't do silly things like I did. Maybe I need to paint big teefies on mine so it looks a bit more dangerous...

Jim, I was at a show at a historical society that has a gathering each August, here in the States, and they had an Indian made Lister engine, and as I recall, it was a 12 HP, and it was actually a well designed machine.
@@turboconqueringmegaeagle9006 I think the one I saw was referred to as a "Listeroid" engine, kinda like the Honda look alike engines. It was not a genuine Lister engine.

The parts looked reasonably good considering some of the machining videos on UA-cam they post. I think they will run listers forever over there because there’s not much to replace them. You did well with your arm like it is, hope you can find enough to do while your bandaged up.
A decent electricity grid made them redundant here, but I still see ads on ebay for startomatics "only stopped using it in the milking shed last year" so I think you are right, those chaps in India are going to make them for a long time yet.
They got onto fixing you're arm fast, I'm still waiting to hear what there plan is for my knee... to be fair my knee feels almost like normal unless I tweak it then I cant feel bellow the knee. Love you're surface grinder it's just so shed dweller and it works who can needs high tech. Hope you heal fast and all goes well for you take it easy with that arm.
Cost 200 to get a private consultation from a bicep specialist and that got things moving, I don't know your situation mate but id not hesitate to do the same again if I get shenanigans from the NHS. Hope you get some answers soon.

Mine is old and probably been left too long even this time around I put up with my knee for about 8 to 10 weeks before I gave in an saw the doc plus I just brought a floor grinder so yeah no specialist for me..... priorities right lol. Doing ok our kid, brother was up on Saturday and I'm afraid that I overindulged with some lager (Well I couldn't let him drink all by himself) and just after he left I collapsed and faceplanted the sofa, vomited, and totally lost the use of my legs, mate had to strongarm me to the bog, 20 minutes later I walked out on my own, after a full colostomy bag change,, and I felt fine.
Hope all goes well with your operation. Can't wait for you to return to making bunker videos. Just don't push yourself until you are fully recovered. You can still curse those f#ck%ng trains while you recover.
Never seen a CS with one Flywheel before and it's a spoked type not the heavier Kidney type. I have a roid. If you think indian parts are rough, you should see a whole indian Engine! Been looking for a Genuine CS for years but either 500Km away or they want 5K for them. Good luck with the arm digger. It came with a second flywheel just not fitted. Been watching one of your fellow country men who still finds originals in old shearing sheds, it's a sideshow though as most of his videos are huge Australian made two stroke hot bulb engines, can't remember the channel or engine name now.

I enjoyed putting the ph2 back together, it's a cracking engine and plenty of power for a 2ton machine, how old is your Winget? Had always worked on light aircraft until recently mostly with Lycomings or continentals but occasionally a DH or something obscure. And thank you mate.
@@turboconqueringmegaeagle9006 I think it’s early 80s, it’s a 4b2000 or 2500. I am not really sure yet. In its dim distant past it has been “restored” and the ID plate sandblasted🤦♂️. I ended up buying it due to unfortunate circumstances, I had borrowed it for a building project from a friend but he died a couple of weeks ago. His son wanted to sell it and offered it to me a reasonable price (especially as I already know it’s faults). I have an Auster with a Cirrus minor engine, very old school🤣.
@@buttonmonkey6845 the entire GA fleet is old school, early Auster is veritably vintage, never touched a cirrus but understand they're less quirky than the dripsys which can't be a bad thing although spares must be a nightmare for you. Sorry about the circumstances around your dumper, I'm sure you'll enjoy the fettling, next big job on mine is the center steering bearing, she's as baggy as a tatty windsock.

@@Farm_fab of course, lister never made them 12hp, I think the indian engines just run higher rpm but they're identical, most parts interchangeable.

Jenkodiesel is the channel and Austral and McDonald engines make up the bulk of his dusty outback content, well worth a gander.
