A member of 7 IRC, when raised after cyclone Tracey...out of Darwin. The local Aboriginal members were very very good and, well liked. Aboriginal military personnel have been around of well over 100 years and I would like knowledge of them become much more mainstream, so that their families and the Australian community become equally proud of their achievements, as we are for all members of our armed forces. Top job Tony Albert!

Sorry, computers are not my forte! june day I also was in the initial recruit force of 7 IRC; now not such a young bloke living in NSW! Viewers should know that 7th Independent Rifle Company was the precursor of Norforce. The Aboriginal infantrymen in that unit were really good and great to serve with. However, what we all should be proud of, as well, as our forebears, is that these peoples have been in this beaut country for well over 50,000 years and have helped shape the country as we used to know it. The lack of land management, as utilised for thousands of years, was put aside for "conservation" sake leading to the bushfire tragedies of the past few years. Best wishes to ALL Australians from this old bloke. 28/04/2121
