I smiled through the irritating beams coming from the lamp positioned in my face as I put the ropes around my hands in the shadows. "You want me, to help you, take out another villain?" She asked, her voice sounding skeptical, though I didn't blame her. "Well, it's either that, or he'll kill us all." I could see her head shake from behind the lamp. "I'm no murder." She refused, starting for the stairs to our right. I watched her, a frown taking over. "He's not gonna stop. Throwing him in prison will only give him time to think up a better way to keep his plan moving forward." I told her as she started up the first step. "Margaret." "What?" She frowned back at me. "Can you at least turn off the lamp? It..hurts." I admitted reluctantly. Her body relaxed a little, after a pause, she walked over and turned off the harsh light, allowing me to see through the dark. "Where are you going?' I asked as she headed back to the stairs. "I'm turning you over to the authorities." She said as I let my ropes dissappear into the shadows before standing up and walking after her. "They can handle the situation better than I can. If you want their help-" "They won't help me." I told her, now behind her. She whipped around to face me, swinging a fist around to hit me. But I caught it, pinning it above her head. She probably couldn't see me in such dark, but I took in every feature of her round face. "You're my only hope. If you won't help me, then all I can do is run." She glared into the dark at where she heard my voice. "That's what you always do."
