- There's no better film festival treat than seeing a movie you dug find a home at a company you greatly admire and that's exactly what happened with Saint Maud, which was just snatched up by A24. While in Toronto for Saint Maud's big debut at TIFF 2019, Morfydd Clark, Jennifer Ehle and director Rose Glass carved out a little time to visit the Collider Lounge to tell us all about their experience working together on the film. We covered how the roles of Maud and Amanda changed after Clark and Ehle were cast, Glass' experience in film school, the unsung hero of the production, and so much more.

I watched this movie a couple of days ago and I'm still thinking about it. The creepy religious atmosphere, the direction choices, the tension, the confrontation between the two main characters...this movie really gave so much more than the usual horror movies . I hope this director will keep producing
I already knew Jennifer Ehle is amazing, but I'm even more delighted for finding three new favourites: mesmerising Morfydd Clark, genius Rose Glass and Adam Janota Bzowski, whose score became one of my so-called therapy albums. It goes surprisingly well with my* bipolar lows.
*I wouldn't recommend the record for everybody, whether mentally fragile or not; its more ominous and gloomy moments might be less enjoyable for some people not accustomed to soundscapes like that.
Jennifer Ehle still looking great into her fifties. I can't wait to finally see Saint Maud very soon. Very good interview, seems like a really nice crew. Didn't give very much away - well done ladies : )
Jennifer Ehle....love you...vous êtes magnifique....
A24 GANG
This movie is amazing! If you're debating whether or not to watch it,
WATCH IT!! ... Please
JUST watched the movie.. I like it.. especially the visuals
This movie was incredible.
Rose Glass gives me big female english Ari Aster vibes, can't wait to see what she does next!
I really loved this movie
fantastic film!!!
Wow the director can actually describe her own movie how amazing.
Very good (if flawed) film with two great performances. Good interview. And not to be shallow, but damn, they're all gorgeous.
Looking forward to this movie!
Just finished the movie. Fucking loved it. 10/10 definitely watching again!
I would love for there to be a whole a24 horror reunion haha. Like with Alex and milly from hereditary, anya Taylor joy, and these characters etc
And the greatest of them all: Florence Pugh as Dani in Midsommar!
Morfydd fica tão linda morena ❤
Good movie
The DOP, Ben Fordesman, is the unsung hero.
Morfyyd Clark will do a great job as Galadriel in ROP, but unfortunately Amazon jacked up the script and went against Tolkien’s source material. I feel bad for the actors involved
Nothing like a good old religious neurosis to rattle the ex-catholic in me.
Wonder if Perri didn't name Morfydd because she didn't know how to pronounce it...
Probably. Welsh names are actually easy
Yes be very careful when excorcising demons spoiler both of them died at the end truly weird unexpected finale no happy ending downer of a movie
I noticed thesexarexup to date actresses in b the limelight at the movement
ii want to desperately marry Morfydd
it is a girl film so it can't get to me disturbance is the goal of a good Bueno horror genre
it is creepy 😳 😬
women movie for women mean to 3ach other watch it for enter t ailment clips are disturbing pics of movie
A weird religious thriller don't go excorcising demons letem burning spoiler alert
Hey, thanks for the fine 'journalism'. Referring to the actors as 'you', instead of by their names, and not identifying them and the director, with captions. Anyone seeing this interview for the first time wants to know that up front, but chatty-Cathy on the right seems oblivious to that fact.
Hello Doug! Appreciate your feedback on the interview. Sometimes at festivals we interview very large groups and have limited time with them, so rather than introduce the group one by one, we create a lower third for the very beginning of the interview so you know who everyone is and we can use our time with them to discuss their film. We do that for every single festival interview to keep them all uniform. Hope this gives you a sense of our BTS thinking on the matter. 😊
@@PerriNemiroff Thanks Perri. Sorry for my snark. I missed seeing the caption the first time, but I see it now. Looking forward to seeing the movie.
@@dougcallaghan6075 All good! Hope you enjoy the movie!
Jennifer is a fantastic actor but she’s not very articulate at interviews, which I think unfortunately is a disadvantage.
Why? She’s a established, talent actress, I find your comment crass
Glass.. affluent, privileged toff.
We're all glad you checked in with your opinion.
Don't be a tool. What are you, her ex?
