I would say it's easier to retire early if you have already made a good amount living in a origin western country. Favorable currency conversion multiplier makes all of this possible.
As a US citizen, If you do 'retire' early and work online, I still highly recommend you do not ignore your retirement. Maintain regular deposits to a Roth IRA, even if they are small deposits of $50. Future you will be so thankful you did.
I've run out of money more times than I can count over the years. And yet, somehow someway I always find a way to make more. Funny how that works 😏 Never give up!
@@AbroadInThailand Do you have a video that describes how much capital you had when you moved to Thailand? I'm traveling there soon once DTV is approved.
Thanks for sharing and video. For me, I need at least $3K in monthly pension & at least $100K of savings for emergency to retire for good in Thailand, plain and simple since America is getting worse. Can't wait till late 2025 or early 2026.
The title should be ‘Retiring in Thailand’ NOT why it’s easier to retire early in Thailand’. There are other SEA countries that have friendlier retirement visas. All information should be based on facts, figures and documented data NOT from friends that are retired in your group. Be objective instead of churning out information based on feelings and emotions.

The usual live like a king in a foreign country story. All good, until the money runs out and until a significant life event occurs.

You'll get there! Slow and steady wins the race. I have far less than that and still making it work for years.

You’re talking about China transportation system and you’ve never been there? You talk bout tariffs and you know nada about tariffs .
You're right, I haven't been to China, and I've watched a few UA-cam videos by notable economics professors on the stupidity of tariffs.
