  • In this episode, Joy discusses the key difference of the mindset, attitudes and actions between those who are able to manifest successful changes and change their reality and those who are not. She covers topics like fear of the unknown, facilitating change by breaking out of autopilot, maintaining sustainable change, and how small things like habit building and consistency can accumulate massive results overtime.

Very well said. Unless one is willing and determined to leave their so called comfort zone, which quite ironically is uncomfortable, one cannot truly transform. One must just do the work and surrender. The mind, despite all the hype, is limited in its grasp of what is truly real.

One of my favorite quotes to live by (and ignore) is "Change happens when the pain of staying the same is greater than the pain of change." I see that theme repeated everywhere and this video is another example of why it's way past time to choose to change, so there's no time like now to be doing those small things that add up and carry me to a better version of myself in weeks, months, years... This was comforting to listen to while doing my morning routine, and I will probably watch several more times (like I do the rest of your videos, I just loop them a few times til the whole message sticks). This reminds me of my first Ego Death. It was at my job and it was triggered by stress. When it happened I felt sick to my stomach, similar to the feeling of throwing up but instead of throwing up my Ego was shattered. I felt scared because It felt like I was God and everyone was made up by me and also is me. I came to realize the person I was, was just a character. One of these many characters I made up, living in this world I made. It felt lonely and fake because you realize everyone is you and you just made them up to keep yourself company. To keep yourself from knowing that you really are a lonely God who forget who they were on purpose. But I also felt so free, I was so close to getting up and walking out my job because I felt like I could do anything 😂. My slate was clean and the limitations of the character I was playing were gone. After the Dark night of the soul. The next day there was nothing but bliss and a deep love and connection for everyone and everything in this story we made up ❤ I could probably fly if I believed in it.

@@ursinhobloodyit’s funny you say that because the knowledge of it played a big role in triggering it. There was a video by a guy named Timothy Hall describing “what depersonalization disorder feels like” in POV. This peaked my interest because once he started describing what it was I knew I had this experience since I was a kid. Feeling like I’m not looking out at the world using my eyes but through a window or VR glasses. I always felt like everyone might be a robot because there is no real way to prove they are experiencing life exactly how I am 😂. In the comments someone mentioned Ego death aka Awakening and I looked it up briefly interested but not thinking much of it. I worked an overnight job that was extremely stressful with a crazy boss. Around 4am while stocking, I just played with the depersonalization idea kind of like in the video and Boom it hit me outta nowhere.

One thing that has helped me is transcendental meditation, which helped me observe my thoughts as just the neutral conscious observer, and I started realizing negative thoughts and belief systems are so nonsensical. Thoughts and beliefs, particularly subconscious ones, shape our reality, so figure out your fears/limitations, let go of them and your reality will shift. All of our ascended masters have always pointed to infinite consciousness of the creator and you are literally that creator. Consciousness and the Universe is a beautiful paradox.

I usually don't like being around people and am a misanthrope. I'm shy too to some extent and i have a hard time believing in myself since childhood.
One of my lady friends (named Sabrina and she's one of the staffs) whom i met at the family success center in Millville where i used to volunteer at in 2015 offered me in 2022 to volunteer at the Food Pantry which is located in my current city that i moved into in 2018. I wasn't interested in volunteering there at first because i felt that the food pantry would be out of my comfort zone but i took her offer because she said that it would be good for me and she works there as well so I've been volunteering there for over a year now and am well appreciated over there.
What's the point of any of us having a comfort zone if it's unhealthy to stay in our comfort zone? It's called the Comfort Zone for a reason.

Simply putting it your older version fights back when you evolve because it knows it will die. Last year I made a good process , so did I this year but the process seems so slow because of the fight the mind puts up every step of the way.

I like the idea of replacing habits and changing yourself. Reality is basically a mirror of yourself. I've been trying to be more social lately, but I find it still takes a lot of practice. But like they say, you can't play guitar a handful of times and be good at it, you have to do it daily. I went to a birthday party on the weekend, and it took me a while to realize one of the women kept looking at me. I should have went up and talked to her right then, but I hesitated a bit and she ended up going home early. I ended up introducing myself to her and I asked if she was on Facebook, but she wasn't, so I asked if I could text her sometime, and she put her name and number in my phone. The next day the told me she just started dating someone, so she can't text back and forth with me right now, but said she I seem like a really interesting person to talk to and we'll probably cross paths again. I told her it was my mistake for assuming she was single because she was at the party alone and left it at that. I could have done better, but at least I got out of the house and met a few people, and I was being totally authentic with her.

I believe work kills a person. It makes you lose yourself. That's why so many people struggle with meaninglessness nowadays. All they do and think about is work. Work for money, work for reputation. Our societies promote hard work as a virtue. "Laziness" (= not doing what you are "supposed to do") is a sin. As if work was the meaning of life.
I sometimes get jealous of our hunter-gatherer ancestors, their life wasn't easy either but they got to enjoy it. Was civilization really worth it? Modern scholars understand that we didn't choose civilization but that it has chosen us. And then we started telling ourselves that we are better than those uncivilized barbarians.
But civilization has its advantages, too. And I believe or hope that eventually we will learn and be able (with the help of technology) to enjoy the benefits of civilization without losing our humanity. But in the mean time we have to find a way to do this in today's world.
Sorry, but I wanted to get this off my chest.

I had a dream of spending my time creating and selling unique vehicles. So, I started a real estate business to fund it- thinking it would take loads of disposable income to make my dream happen. I just ended up in the real estate business and unhappy with no time for my craft. After several years I finally took a breath and ran numbers to see what I would "need" to do what I actually loved vs. trying to fund it. I felt ridiculous because it really takes very little money to build mini-bikes and off-road toys for people to enjoy. Now I had lots of money and no time. I cashed out (basically got out of it with enough money to live on for a short time) and now I engage in many passions and make a little from each. I'm so much happier, have all the creature comforts I did before, and more free time. I don't miss the big (looking) bank balance or social credit. And, no one gets what I do, lol. And, that's just fine. I'm more me than I've ever been and more happy because of it.

The title of this video is very good. It's the reason I clicked on the video. It made me think. And made me reminisce one exercise that helps you move forward. If you've been stuck for a while in life, then there must be actions that you take that keep you there. So you can ask yourself "What do I love about staying stuck here?". It's like if someone were punching you in the face continuously, then you would move away, because you wouldn't like that. But if you kinda want to move away and you're not taking action to accomplish that, that means there's something that you like about it. Typically that something is "getting out of your comfort zone". Which is what this video is about. Sacrificing your current comfort for change. No pain, no gain, I guess. So if you're not getting any gain, I guess you're scared of the pain. It do be like that sometimes...
Also, at the beginning you said you're going to call out some of us. And true, I, for example, am guilty of staying stuck in my current reality while wanting a different reality... But I am also going to call you out in return :) hahaha
At 9:17 You said you're tired of people selling overnight success
But what about your videos titled "Change your circumstances in an instant" or "Transform FEAR into LOVE and change your life today" ? 🤔

  • @dobi287
    @dobi287 11 місяців тому

Saying change doesn't happen overnight is in direct contrast with defining insanity as doing the same thing and expecting different results. And is why I'll always reject that claim as a lazy "logical" fallacy

i had this realization when i began my mental health recovery process a few years ago. it was a great stepping stone, even though i’ve had ups and downs and relapses that occurred last year and this year, it was definitely worth it as i essentially felt a rebirth process throughout this time
three years later my mind is more clear than ever and i finally know what i really want to do in this life. being content and living in the present was key and i’m glad this vid came up on my recommended. instant subscribed for sure

Staying stagnant only impairs and stuns one’s growth and evolution. Change most often intimidates or triggers fear in those who are conditioned to being imprisoned by the insecurities, constraints and notions of their mind. Reinventing oneself is foolishly regarded as only strictly for those of elevated caliber or resilience however everyone is endowed or hardwired with this ability to achieve the inevitable or impossible. Keep both your mind and heart elevated in synchronicity and you will defy the limits of the sky. Only you choose what altitude to pursue! ❤

Thank you, I love your content. I have been stuck in limbo for months now, I missed an audition for something important to me, and I kind of feel like my goals are lowkey difficult for me because every time I try and get myself unstuck, I regress back from time to time, but your video explains the basics of why I should try the small things out first before fearing the bigger things. Hoping your channel grows more. Thank you for the enlightenment.

I think you are right on this one. And I assume in 95% of all cases, we are not willingly make the necessary changes to radically change our selfs and thus our reality. In most cases we are stuck in patterns, that make us go through suffering, that has to reach certain high peaks in order to make or break us.... Okay, I am positive: Make us. :)

It’s important to understand that success doesn’t mean making money, getting girls, and having things. There’s a lot of material people that think unless you making over 100k money you are a failure in life. Success and growth is not about money. I know plenty of people with a lot of money that are miserable people and difficult to be around so money has nothing to do with it. Change how you see success.

This is true. And I might have not forcefully or intentionally changed myself but rather I was put into different, (difficult) circumstances for the better, I cannot recognize myself anymore. Ive lost all the people that was once important to me, but are now gone since they do not align with me anymore. It's been very lonely and difficult and sometimes I feel alienated in this new body. But I know all this is for the better. Im constantly trying new things, meeting new people, joining communities and so much more. While I miss the familiarity of my old self, I always have to remind myself that the act of forgetting is also healing.
