The arc where Obi-Wan is assumed dead to infiltrate a kidnapping attempt is a fairly important one for Anakin’s fall imo. “How many other lies have I been told by the Council?!”
This makes Anakin out to be a hypocrite since he's been lying to the Jedi council about his genocidal attack on the sand people, his marriage to Padme, and his continuing usage of the dark side (especially when he murdered Count Dooku).
@@loudboy317 maybe, but they we're the elders, they were supposed to show the example and take care of him (since they took him from his mother and abandoned her to remain a slave in the Outer Rim by the way). And they absolutely failed at that job.

One of the things i love the most about the clone wars is that it makes you care about Anakin as a hero. He really is a great jedi, which i don't think you get to fully see in the films.
Well in Anakin's defense as said in the episode arc R2 more or less had pretty much almost every Republic strategy / battle plans, base locations, navel and army formations, and logistical data, and secret plan (except those personally hidden by Palpatine) in his memory banks. Plus R2 has soon to be an expert leader and tactician near on par to Thrawn but limited by rank as a droid. Without R2 and his knowledge the Republic would have lost the war. Also R2-D2 is a main cast member of the original movies so he has plot armor as well.
I've only watched a bunch of CW episodes growing up. Might start to binge the series once Disney+ becomes available in the UK or maybe buy all seasons on DVD.
I would consider the Clone Wars series required viewing, also. Especially if you've somehow never seen it before lol EVERY Star Wars fan should watch every episode, and I would put Rebels into that category, too. But, that's just me. 😂👍
Also in the Clone Wars, Obi wan faked his death and the Jedi thought it was a really good idea to keep it a secret to a vengeful Anikan. Although Anikan and Obi wan appears to be chill later on, the former probably still felt pissed and betrayed by this lie.
I really wish Genndy Tartakovsky's _Clone Wars_ microseries was still canon. When you watch the entire series in one sitting, it functions as its own movie in between the movies, and it's so damn good.
Spar10Leonidas just watched it not too long ago, a lot of it really did not age well. Some of it is still fantastic and covers gaps in the timeline. Still, not canon.
Joe Kerr similar events take place in the show and the current canon. This does not make the show canon. The battle of Hypori for example is Canon, we know general grievous was a boss there, it is shown in the show. This does not make the show canon, but the battle is.
@@BlindJedi I'm mostly thinking of the stuff immediately after ATOC. I'm not up on all of the canon material. But Anakin's first meeting with Ventress. Obi-Wan vs Durge. I think the last three episodes of the Clone Wars, the stuff with Yoda learning that Qui Gon is a force ghost and learning more about Sidious and the sith threat is the most important few episodes of the Clone Wars in understanding the entire Skywalker saga (imo)
NerdGuy he mentioned several times he’s only focusing on the events that shaped Anakin Skywalker. That comic only further emphasizes things already brought up in the video. It would have been redundant.
What happened between attack of the clones and the clone wars is there any canon there. Like how they got their Armor and such because the clone wars seems to borrow more from ROTS than AOTC.
Kristopher Hillman similar to the age of republic comic, it would’ve have been redundant to explain the events in that book. Here’s another example of Anakin Skywalker questioning the Jedi. Here’s another example of Anakin Skywalker feeling for his wife. Etc.
