This is objectively one of the best wingsuit videos ever. What an unique and beautiful flight path you figured out, and it looks like you figured it out more than once out of 28 flights.
Hands down the best ever Wingsuit vídeo I have ever seen. I literally nearly had a tear in my eye with the emotion of this video. After nearly 4 years of Wingsuit flight myself I know I am not even a fraction of the way there to even contemplating something like this. You’re dedication, skill and determination is something to be truly admired. This is just to good. Amazing amazing amazing, well done to the whole team!!
I have been avidly watching wingsuit flights on UA-cam for the past ten years. This and your other flights are truly astounding, I would go as far to say the most spectacular of any I have seen. The stunning finale where you gain height to fly over the dam wall was terrifying yet utterly gripping, I cannot begin to imagine how you felt! I wish I could experience the thrill of a wingsuit flight, it must be completely addictive. Thank you for sharing this beautiful footage, I really look forward to each video.
been searching my ass off for a good wingsuit video to show my daughter how cool it is... after watching most of them with bad camera views i ended up looking for that wingsuit scene on the point break movie to show her.... really appreciate your work
Absolute goosebumps from start to finish, probably one of the best wingsuit videos I've ever seen. Amazing footage and production man :D Can't wait for more :)
How close were you to running out of speed and stalling before clearing the dam? (if that's a thing in wing suit flying, pilot here) It was an amazing view though, you coming in low and then going up and over the dam. So happy you accomplished your goal.
Roughly 50% there. One of the shots is when the water level is 34m below the top, the other is at 20m. I can consistently gain 40-50m on base jumps. I preserve energy for after clearing the top so I can deploy my parachute further away from the dam in the back left corner, just in case I need the separation to handle a malfunction. The terrain on flyer's left is lower than the wall on flyer's right.
If at first you don't succeed, wingsuits are not for you. Congrats on staying alive, you must have great preparation and discipline. Every time I watch one of these, I google the wikipedia entry and check if they are still with us. Good luck. Love the music btw. Inspired choice.
@Brendan Weinstein Do you think it will ever be possible to safely land a wingsuit on water or land, either with a set of wheels or pontoons or something? Or maybe you could through a combination of wing-braking, maneuvering and deploying a mini-chute you could execute a quick deceleration in such a way as to make a water landing safe?
Super cool! I've always wondered if it's possible to go up hill so much as to put in a last minute flare and land on a cliff edge - like the grass covered ones at Lauterbrunnen and Mount Blanc etc? You're clearly in control on the up glide before the dam, so how slow can you go to be able to land like a bird does?
I don't imagine this would be possible. Birds glide to a stall right as they land, and they actually flap their wings right before they land to counteract the stalling motion (not to mention it is done at much lower speeds). As wingsuits can't 'flap' like a bird's wings, and there isn't really any way of counteracting the stall without dropping out of the air, it would be an incredibly difficult feat to achieve. Stalling is where your attack angle slows your foward motion as you climb, resulting in a loss of lift as the air slows over wings surface. Go too slow and you'll drop out off the air like a rock.
19 hikes up the cliff, 3 hikes down, and 12 chopper flights. There is a rock shelter near 20ft behind where I jump. I built that. All information about the exit, including gps tracks of my flights are available at the basebeta.com entry for Le Pleureur.
Hey Bud, in some of your videos you fly too close to the terrain there is no room for error does it not worry you that a tiny mistake could cost you a lot?
Amazing in every way great shots and skills, EXCEPT (and I will flame the editor here), 11 consecutive frame cuts exactly when pasing over the dam? First four or five is a tease, the rest is just annoying cock-block. Please don't do that any more and add some variety.

Mother of God... it's the most incredible video I've ever seen of wigsuit... crazier than anything...

This is better than the GoPro version.

Wow. Incredible line!
Beautiful!
Wow, the intense rush you I have feel after that. Great footage!
Incredible guys. So brave
Amazing! Some of the best wingsuit footage I've seen yet!
That was ultra super sick dude! One of the thinnest veils for error ever captured bro.
INCREDIBLE FLYING 🚀🚀🚀🚀🕺🕺
Fantastic guys
How the hell did you flair like that with those huge balls weighing you down? Excellent video and amazing skill.
Omg you really are pushing this sport 😱
I love it mate ❤ keep dreaming and fulfilling your dreams 🤟
I'm speechless !

@@BrendanWeinstein thanks for the explanation. Still amazed by your flight and this video. Well done.
This is insane! You are a beast!
Was that really what it looked like, flare required to clear the wall ? Crazy flying skills.
Yes it was. Most committed jump i've ever seen. No bail outs on that flare over the dam!!!
Isso é muita loucura!!! Show !! Parabéns, vocês têm muita coragem 😂😂🤙👏
Un poco de todo
I did not know wingsuits could fly level, let alone briefly gain height. Great line.

Awesome.
So sick man! we made a basketball shot off that dam a few years earlier haha
NICE
Keep posting love it😍😍
Epic 👌👍👍👍
I'd love to see this in Google Cardboard.
Wow! Good thing you were wearing a helmet. Wouldn't want to get hurt...
Falling with style.
Where is the video footage shown on Daily Dose of the Internet channel? Jaw-dropping videos! 🙂
Good pilot
Cameraman too did it. Best
Super cool!

Duuude I was like pull up, pull up!
You actually jumped from the cliff? Not deploy from aircraft?!!! Well it is super cool either way!

NICE ONE DUDE
You got crazy close to the dam. How dangerous was that?
i imagine not more dangerous than flying through those rocks
WOW you're great
SUPER FLAIRE ___
cool job )
Video never does an action sport justice.
Daily dose of internet brought me here
Why no camera on the dam? You have to do it again. :-)
Haha no need! All the dam footage is getting posted over at the BaseBeta facebook page facebook.com/BaseBeta/
@@brendanweinstein7540 Wow! That view from the side of the mountain REALLY shows how low you dipped below the damn! Might be my favorite shot!

Damn
just wondering how did a camera shoot him from in front of him ?
GoPro 360
No está volando está callendo con estilo
good. now try to land on the top of the dam, with perfect landing, no parachute.. just pure slowing down from doing upward swoop.
What the track?
