Man, I am pretty glad you obtained this, and it didn't go to scrap. The ACA Hurricanes have always been one of my favorites for a long time and it's good to see there are still a few left at least. Can't wait to see this thing run when you get it fixed!
Looking at the serial It's from 1981. My thing is if the blower was missing only the chopper can sound. Strange how they gave you the blower cover and not the blower itself. I saw this same siren coming back from Memphis back in early 2020. Good to know you have it now
nice im getting a thunderbolt 1003 sadly i cant find a nice m6 blower online so frick the blower rn also i recommend USING A THUNDERBOLT BLOWER hope that will help heh

Probably. People are making a huge deal out of it. None of this stuff is extra sensitive to lightning, I’m sure it has been struck dozens if not hundreds of times. (It’s on a 50 foot metal pole sticking up in the middle of an empty field, what do you expect) This older stuff is basically immune to it.

@@vantaaax the city of Greenville auctioned them off. I lost both. Next day one pops up on marketplace, the guy had bought one and was reselling it. I snatched it up instantly lol.

@@TexasRailfan2008 Well, from what I know, hurricanes used the Leeson 30HP motor if I remember correctly. So maybe if you use the manual for reference, you should be able to find a motor that'll work with it!!
This is the head that was by the P10, however the blower is from the car lot.
I thought the hurricane’s blower from the highway was gutted because there was a bird nest on top of the vents at the bottom

I believe there are still a few standing but they are inactive apart from the Milwaukee one.

The blower and motor is mounted to the angled metal piece. I have the blower motor but not the blower itself
