I LOVE the snack bag idea, no doubt. We are ALWAYS stopping by a convenience store before hitting the road, buying food and drinks, etc. A stop by Dollar Tree (LOVE THIS STORE also!!! LOL) before the trip to stock up on goodies would definitely solve that problem. LOL I can relate to having recognizable luggage. All the blacks and blues, A NO FOR ME. LOL A unique print (like yours), YES. LOL I have a leopard 🐆 print one, EASILY recognized. LOL I DEFINITELY "still disinfect" the hotel room (almost everything, LOL), surfaces, etc. GOOD habit to have. You're so organized, another GREAT video.😊
Oh my word - I have watched several hundred 'travel essentials' videos in the past month, and not one has mentioned thank you notes/blank cards. But already have a packet of them in my personal bag ready for the upcoming trip I am planning. So glad to see there is someone else that values the importance of a hand written note. 😄 One suggestion - buy dog poop bags - they are smaller, probably cheaper, and come on a very small roll of 30 - great for when you need a small trash bag - plus, they make little holders for them that usually have a way to clip them to a dog's leash - or in this case, the inside/outside of your bag. And I think we're some sort of sisters from another mother, because your notebook with tabs, and everything printed, planned, etc - is ME. I have spread sheets for EVERYTHING for a trip... LOL
🥰🥰🥰 such a good suggestion, didn’t even think of the dog poop bags, will definitely add to my list of essentials! I’m glad I’m not alone, I love having everything detailed. Where are you traveling to next? We leave in 2 months for our family trip…I’m so excited.
@@styledbygeneva Well, if you don't have a dog, you wouldn't have any reason to think of them. But I day hike, and do multi-day backpacking trips, both with my dog, so have them on me all the time. They are great for trash for backpacking especially, since you tend to snack a lot to keep the calories flooding in - by the end of the day you have quite a few wrappers from all sorts of stuff... I am booked on a cruise in a few months - my first 'fun' cruise, as the 'cruises' on an air craft carrier or a destroyer in the US Navy didn't fall in the 'fun cruise' column. LOL
I bet you are in need of a fun cruise, thank you for your service. I am a military brat and veteran spouse so I understand the life. I hope you have an epic time on your cruise!!!
I love the money cards/thank you cards idea! I typically just leave cash out in the open when I check out of rooms, but a thank you card is a wonderful idea to help show more personal appreciation! I also just recently got into compression socks, especially while traveling, and I don’t know how I went 37 years without trying them until now 😂
I love have easy it is so show gratitude when you’ve already packed the Thank You cards in your belongings. My husband got me started with the compression socks, I had no clue 🤣 he’s also a walker on the plane and I’m like sit down even though I know it’s good for circulation 🤦🏽♀️🤣
Awesome video! Full of great ideas but most brilliant was the thank you cards/envelopes!! Blew my mind!! We’ve travelled through Europe extensively and for long periods and agree with you on the importance of having everything on paper format too. When we took our granddaughter for a month through France, Italy and Spain I had every tour, restaurant reservation, concerts - EVERYTHING - in my handy dandy little binder!!!! Don’t get me wrong, I also had it on TripIt which was great but I wasn’t going to chance it! Congratulations again, for someone so young, you are an inspiration and roll model.
Thank you so much for the kind words, you made my day 🥰 How special that you were able to take your granddaughter on a month long European vacation!!!! My parents do the same for their grands, I love that they have experiences and are world travelers!
So far we’ve taken two grands on their chosen trips. And it has been so special having dedicated time just for them. We’re waiting for our next to graduate and see what his wish will be. Your parents sound just like us, always with a foot ready for the next adventure. Again, congratulations on your video.
