I have enrolled and start learning and received my first 3 certificates after being approved for financial aid BUT when I reach project capstone 1...i could see the material but couldn't have access to the assignment , they were locked and asked me to upgrade to unlock.

Hi teacher Marie, I wonder why the two courses in coursera doesn't have any indication for applying financial aide. The text that are written there are "The Teach English Now! Capstone Project 1 course is open for enrollment for users who have completed courses 1-7 of the Specialization." I'm worried if I can continue the course and can able to get the TESOL certification. Hope you will notice this comment.

Yes, that is the same po. Yung sakin is just 1 course but after that you can proceed to courses 2-8 :) You can take that po.

Hello teacher Marie, I just want to Thankyou for making this video. I was able to have a free TESOL Certification for free 🥰 (last July 18) Ngayon lang nag ka time to thanyou Kasi medjo busy. I'm step closer to be an ESL teacher. Resigning my work this end of August and hopefully I can be one as ESL teacher. I want to have A WFH set up hoping and praying 😌🙏

The first one is totally free but if you apply for other courses, you get to pay half of the fee and they’ll shoulder only half ☺️

Hi! As of January 2023, I don't think Coursera's certificate is free anymore. I applied for Financial Aid for yesterday and by Week 1's Lesson 3, Peer-graded Assignment, I have to "Upgrade to Submit" which means I have to agree to the 7-day free trial and enter a credit card/PayPal account that they will charge me for once the 7 days are over. I thought of maybe finishing the course before 7 days so I can cancel the subscription but I don't know that it will guarantee a certificate. Update soon!

@@TeacherMariePh Hi! I'm not sure. My financial aid application's response was in 2 weeks pa (Jan. 30) so I couldn't proceed with the next modules if I waited for Jan. 30. I plan to complete modules 7 and 8, get the certificate and cancel my subscription before I get charged.

Hello, here's what's stated on their website po "You will receive a course certificate from Coursera for each of the courses of Parts 1 and 2. When you have successfully completed all courses, including the two capstones, from Parts 1 and 2 you will receive ASU’s 150-hour TESOL certificate."

Yes po. You can apply up to 10 financial aids. I did that also and yung reasons ko same lang but how this course will help me, I modified it according sa topic ng course ☺️
