Holy Buckets is the best. I no longer live in IL, so I cannot try the pizza. However, I am surprised they added it to their menu.

Where could we get HALAL Italian Beef sandwich in Chicago similar to Al's Italian Beef and where in Chicago can get Brisket sandwich similar to KATZ Deli which is in NYC?
    Also HALAL Chicago style hotdog?

Halal Italian beef worthy of Chicago? None
Halal brisket sando like katz: none…though I’ll be doing a bbq pop up very soon inshallah(details to be shared later) with smoked brisket, and ribs etc. eventually will make smoker pastrami with brisket down the road if things go well Inshallah.
Halal Chicago style hotdog: centro in Lombard.

The old Italian Express in Hanover Park, IL had the best halal deep dish pizza. Too bad they went out of business. Not sure how the Italian Express in Devon or Glendale Heights is or if they are certified halal.

They restaurant isn’t certified as a hell. But their meat is. It’s been a long time but I recall a an IFANCA sign their on the prior devon location. Not sure what the situation is now but it’s an classic trusted establishment. It would be gameover for them to breach it.

Does the food being halal change the flavour in any way? Generally curious

Great question. For something like this not really. However if we are talking whole chicken, steaks, etc …yes halal is superior to non halal as the animal is treated humanely, raised ethically, and is slaughtered in a way where all the blood is drained from the animal quickly. Several restaurants(non Muslim owners too) actually use halal meat as they too have noted it superiority eg. Dave’s Hot Chicken, Fry the Coop, or any of the top steak houses in the USA as they use creekstone beef which is halal.

@@halaldigest salaam, question my brother.... since fry the coop uses non halal beef tallow to fry the chicken sandwich
      Does it becomes unhalal

@@AlexSanchez-tr5fu overall it’s non Z. But from strictly chicken standpoint that I was responding to Emillie Hesky change in flavor
