And do a bit of googling beforehand so you can play the part, don't go in cold.
Find some "old school" Republican policies whose abandonment would upset Reagan, even though _you personally find them disagreeable_ - remember you're playing a part, *in order to convince them not to goose step along* with Elon and Trump, because their own base is against that.
And just give yourself a basic familiarity with the average Republican voters' expectations before the election (with Leopard-phasia).
A bit of rehearsal and concise notes in front of you help a lot.
And if you happen to know any Republican voters (due to work/relatives ect) try to get them outraged about Elon's takeover... with messaging that will trigger them.
Not messaging that will appeal to you.
The few that have spoken out have been gangstalked and threatened, like the doctor who was questioning RFK Jr. Its a cult, any republican that even questions the Führer is "Cheyneyed" and can say goodbye to their career

And now those same enlightened Democrats can't decide if the Democrats should actually do their jobs because it might actually help the people they wanted to mass murder the first time.

@@BionicMusic kamala should have given the base a reason to vote instead of galavanting with Republicans
There shouldn't be one Democrat voting for any of trump's nominee
Nice joke. The truth is they will vote in every single one of Trump's stooges, because Dems profit just as much as Republicans. Wake up!!! They are playing us all. The trith is: Life isn't a fight between the left and the right, it has always been the rich against the workers.
I could forgive a vote for Rubio at the very least, though I still would've opposed him because I don't trust him to stand up to Trump, and so far he's proving me right. That means not a single one of Trump's nominees should receive "bi-partisan support".
But I did notice something on that list - along with further proof of American stupidity - nearly all the Democrats who voted for Trump's nonsense - resided in heavily Republican areas. Consider:
1. You are one of these Democrats.
2. You represent a heavily Republican voter district.
3. If not you, at the very least, you want a Democrat to hold this seat in the next election.
4. No matter how you vote, yes or no, it will make no difference. The issue at hand will be definitely going in Trump's favor.
Tell me, how would you vote? Take a good look at that list again, nearly every one of them are in red districts and/or red states.

The naive complacency of Americans thinking this situation can be fixed with anything short of revolution is baffling.
Bernie gets no more passes. Yeah, he talks brilliantly, but you know what else he does? He had a real movement behind him twice, 2016 and 2020 only to then at last second, once momentum has been reached, asked those that believed in him to vote for DP candidate. He himself will be the first to point out that whether you vote republican or democrat, both parties, irrelevant of who is the president, have corporate donors they answer to.

I agree with your analysis on Kamala; there’s too much of a divide between the young progressives and socialists, and the corporate liberal class. You all get along fine until you start talking about your ideas to each other, and then the realization of incompatibility sinks in. The Democrat party has ignored this issue forever in the hopes of maintaining the big tent atmosphere but it obviously reached a breaking point in this last election cycle; the centrists have left and moved to the Republican aisle because Trump, ironically, is coming off as more sane than what the Democrats are offering
I'm constantly reminded of the Simpsons joke between Democratic and Republican conventions. The democrats have "we hate life and ourselves" and "we can't govern" banners while the republicans have "we want what's worst for everyone!" and "we're just plain evil!"

You have a peoples' party: They are called the Revolutionary Communists.
@Expazament. That’s roughly where I landed about 2010-2012, myself. Not only because of the dirty tricks used to polarize the only two parties of standing, but due to the obvious and rudimentary dependence that created on Racism/White Supremacy “to settle all disputes,” resulting in 0 “Political” momentum-except in the weirdest-possible usages of electronics, virtually-entirely out of the hands of any USA-concept “entrepreneurial mavericks” since Steve Jobs, who himself evidently, just wanted to be able to “fit in.”
HAD either party openly TOLD its constituents The Truth about stagnant wages, offshore/overseas markets and employment, foreclosure and bankruptcy repercussions as to national Economics-back in 2004/2005, the People COULD have made intelligent choices, if not decisions of their own.
But “government” itself opted to keep the general public entirely Ignorant for its own elite agenda as it tried to “become” a knock-off British nobility, posing for grams, pretending “outrage,” and whipping-up lynch mobs against (they don’t even have ANY realistic idea-to this day!)! It’s only OTHER bright idea 💡 was to imitate that god-awful Falwell/Robertson, 700 Club/PTL “model” of begging for dollars every blessed chance it GOT! Performing NO MIRACLES of any kind in exchange for the money-just like Jim & TammyFaye, David Koresh, Jim Jones, Rev. Ike & all the Rest, except for Miracles of Shopping to enhance their own phony, lobby-bought “status” in USA-concept “politics.”
Which is WHY they’ve all “forgotten” IF they ever learned this, it isn’t even rightly-political UNTIL it’s done by, for, of, about, or because of “the people”-ALL of them, to their ultimate benefit and deserts.
Without any form of government (Economic or Political) ABLE to provide what it is that people NEED/WANT, people are under no obligation to do anything that they think they were put “in Power” to do. They may very well decide, individually or collectively, to get along without government altogether, to go and see for themselves what those offshore markets are really all about, and skip concerning themselves as to the daily operations of the permanently-inept, “on both sides of the aisle.” They have a limited number of seats, of offices. It says a LOT when the doctored-up “aristocracy” can’t find anything Better to do themselves than trying to procure some. But if all that they CAN think of doing-with all of the problems to be solved which they primarily created-is get a government paycheck to pretend to be “solving” them, it should be relatively clear that ordinary people have no business giving much of a damn what they do. There are better-run systems elsewhere, and they plainly ARE worth at least checking-out from time to time. Plus, their underlings get pay-increases, I’ve been told.
That is a cynical way to view the world. This is why you will lose and why you will blame someone else for your own failure when you do.

Went to Denver's protest against Project 2025 yesterday and your advice on what we should be pressuring our representatives and senators to do is pure gold. Drafted this - feel free to tweak and use for your own purposes:
Subject: We need maximum procedural resistance - constituent letter
I am writing as your constituent to urge stronger legislative opposition tactics to protect vulnerable communities. I believe our current moment demands a more assertive stance, including:
- Blanket opposition to all nominations and policy proposals that advance the Trump agenda - no exceptions, no compromises.
- Constant quorum calls to force physical presence of a quorum for all business - while inconvenient, this is essential for preventing harmful legislation from moving forward swiftly.
- Blocking unanimous consent on every procedural matter to ensure each action faces maximum scrutiny and takes as long as legally possible.
The stakes for Coloradans and all Americans are too high for business as usual. We need representatives who will use every available legislative tool in the toolbox to defend our civil rights and democratic institutions.
Your opposition has shown they care nothing for tradition or decorum. The time for polite opposition is over. Your job right now is to make advancing this agenda as procedurally difficult as possible.
I expect you to demonstrate real leadership in opposing Trump’s agenda. Your constituents are watching closely and will remember who stood firm during this critical time.
Because no politician or the rich or any company controlling the strings is to be trusted, we must trust in man, we must all rise up. We must all be one or we will all be none.

I think It is very important that they stress that gumming up the government is exactly what Republicans did in response to the American people have the audacity of electing a black man to be president. It took Obama over 3 years to form his government just because they did everything they could to make sure nothing got done.
Not entirely true. He had two years with complete control of all branches of government. And yet that still didn't get us actual national Healthcare because the DNC is owned by Wall Street, instead it took until after they had lost control of the legislature to pass what was effectively a government handout to insurance companies, and because everyone employed was required to have private Healthcare, it meant insurance companies had no room to grow naturally and as a result started squeezing their policyholders for more profit by denying more care. I suppose in a roundabout way, you could say Obama is responsible for St. Luigi, but that makes him sound way cooler than he actually is.
@BOBTHEBERT and then he attached himself to social justice issues like Trayvon Martin case, then it all went down hill there. His approval rating was pretty low and his socialist policies weren't loved, forcing him to focus on racism. Perceived racism in the US, look it up, it's a gallup poll. 2013 was when it started going down and it was a free fall after that. Manufactured? My hot take is yes so Obama could win. And the media took this as "everyone against the democrats are racist" because it was so easy. The radicalization of America.
I'd also agree with your point but, like leeja states, the Democratic party is full of conservatives who don't believe it should be illegal to be gay or trans. My main issue is that the fascist, Christian nationalist era in the US was extremely successful in abolishing room for the left to organize and grow. That's separate from outright assassinating the resurgence of the left post McCarthy during the civil rights era. The one opportunity to move back to the left was ruined by the 6 day war triggering an oil embargo, triggering an economic crisis that ultimately pushed enough people far enough right to teach democrats that all progress ideals were bad and they needed to concentrate on power and wealth. @@BOBTHEBERT

America doesn't have a left and a right wing at the moment. They've got a right and a far right. If you continue to put business and the economy before your own people, then this is what happens.
It hasn't had an actual left in government since FDR. There has been a grassroots left, but it was heavily tainted by projects like COINTELPRO from the FBI and CHAOS from the CIA. It was deliberately sabotaged by agents of the government, all because the corporate interests who influence the government were more scared of the Soviets than the Nazis (though still fought the nazis first because they had investments to protect in the UK), hence why plenty of former nazis were recruited by US intelligence to wage campaigns of terror all over Europe through the mid 20th century.

You're my new hero. I spent over a decade studying history and we are at the "Consolidating power in the 1930s Germany" era. Now. Right now. Their strongly worded letters mean about as much as the "vocal" opposition to the Knot-sees during the 30s.
Don't forget the expansionism phase too...
Not to mention the groundwork that's been laid out for years. For example, even in your comment, you chose to use knot-see...because companies have made it basically impossible to even discuss that part of history. Wouldn't be surprised if the word "fascism" soon became mysteriously censored (already is on certain platforms like Twitter and Twitch).
It's worse. Germany's liberals weren't the opposition. They were collaborators. That's the dynamic you're witnessing right now.
What did the Dems do before the election? Blame black men, the most progressive voting bloc second only to black women, for losing them the election before the vote happened.
What did they do after? Blame black men, the second most supportive group of Kamala Harris out of any demographic, for moving 1% to the right. They blamed trans people for existing. They blamed Palestinian Americans for not accepting gxnocide on the table and gambling on anything different. Worse, they actively voted to break American laws to prolong that gxnocide and then scapegoated them after.
And not a single word was said about white people -- especially not the largest group of Trump voters, white women.
The liberals, when left to their own devices, faced with the failures of their policies and the collapse of capitalism as a functioning system, declared war on their own allies and targeted the most vulnerable groups. They are pivoting to attack the left, pivoting to silence protest, pivoting to embracing authoritarianism.
Our KPD is the Working Families Party and Justice Democrats like AOC, it's independents like Bernie Sanders.
But in the 30's, liberals gave H_tler his power and teamed up to purge the left from Parliament. And then they made the Left illegal.
This is what you're seeing right now.
It is all. Enviable..
Is there a video explaining this? Because I don’t quite understand the connection between now and then Germany.

There's a reason poverty went up, cop killings went up, arrests went up, and we were trapped in a gxnocide propelled 70% by our weapons in violation of international law.
Democrats helped lay track for authoritarianism. Democrats have been constantly fighting Democrats to stop it, but the obedience to top-down leadership makes that difficult.
There won't be party unity that stops this. It'll require being ungovernable and unmanageable when the midterms come around. And it'll require admitting that some Democratic leadership is willing to sacrifice us for comfort and privilege.
Elderly Democrats, clinging to power like the Witch King of Angmar.
You'd think that after how disastorus Biden was for enthusiasm, Democrats would realize that wrinkly old men and women are not what the party needs!
I started scanning the list of Democrats who supported the Laken Riley Act and then I stopped when I remembered that my state doesn't _have_ any House Democrats.
To my surprise, my state (SC) actually has one. That's one more than I was expecting.
Where do you live that not even the urban districts have democrats?
Same.
@@MateusChristopher As far as US Congress is concerned, both of the South Carolina senators are Republican and just one out of the seven House representatives is Democrat. Of course the *state* senate and house have some Democrats, but they're also very much the minority.
@MateusChristopher the list was members of the House of Representatives, not local politicians.
I spent part of today watching AOC’s YT repost of her instagram live and genuinely connected with it. The rest of the democratic party needs so badly to learn from her use of social media and learn how to communicate ffs. She was heavily encouraging people to call their reps. Then later today I read some article about congress reps complaining about getting slammed with phone calls. Suck it up buttercups and do something!
The fact that they were complaining is another indictment of the fact that the Democrats have essentially abandoned liberals
Many representatives are too old and can't adapt to the social media presence that is demanded of modern politicians. They simply need to go.
This is what people voted them in for and their complaining, speaks volumes.
Sending a letter is more effective, it really gums up the system, they have to scan it and examine it and the staff has to log it and they have to answer it. Just this week, I found out that I am about to lose 2, maybe 3, jobs due to new gov policies. My newest position as activities coordinator at a senior recovery center is being cut ( along with 25% of nurses and 1/2 of the support staff). The reason I was asked into this position was because I worked so well with everyone through my other PT position doing art classes with a non-profit "Seniors Creating Art"... which will have to shut down due to lack of grant funding.
AND... the mother of the kids I tutor is being laid off from her government position. They desperately want me to continue tutoring - especially since both kid's test scores have improved by 200-300% since last year - but they may not be able to afford it.

Didn't she also suggest that the actions of Mr.L were unproductive or even counter-productive and wrong? Seems a little double standard to suggest not doing a direct removal because it wouldn't be effective and would be wrong, but public mockery is somehow not undermining her arguments.
Well it undermined it for me so I stopped watching like 20 seconds in. I could maybe tolerate one or the other, heck maybe even both, but to do both and then act all authoritative and absolutist about it while speaking so rudely to her critics; I have to draw the line somewhere. Also the level of hypocrisy and vilification of all sides including her own, is too much for me. Maybe I am incorrect but I swear I have heard her talking about "this sort of thing isn't effective, or even counter-productive" before.
The fate of the world is at stake here and she can't swallow her pride enough to accept that maybe her critics have a point. I hate mr.M with a passion and even I was driven away so imagine what someone who is constantly told "the other side do nothing but insult you." would feel.

My take on the due process issue:
John Adams (who was a lawyer for those that don't know) defended the British who were the perpetrators of the Boston Massacre. He said that, even though they had been charged with murdering civilians and he was working against the British in general, the leaders of the colonies believed in fair trials for ALL peoples, and not giving the Brits a proper defense would undermine the goals they were trying to accomplish.
ALL people deserve a fair trial and due process. Even the red coats.
