Amit gets a lot of feedback that he doesn't let his guests talk but I really want to say he's evolved so much in the recent episodes. This episode has so much information from the past and he handled the room so bloody well. Also not taking away from Tanmay and guests who got so excited about the topic and are very capable of such open conversations. Had no idea Tanmay has been working since then! Mad fan! Really enjoyed it. Love the series.
@@kaiserkesarbro the other 3 are telling story about something amit was not involved. Letting them speak and not saying things unrelated is a contribution. Only talking is not a form of contribution. There are other ways too.
Two things I realised today, first I used to think Tanmay is in his late 20's but then when I listened to this, to enjoy 90's u have to be born in 80's. Second I used to think they (Amit and Gaurav) are older but again I could relate to all the things they said. OMG I am getting older!!!!
The nostalgia this episode brought. I remember i used to watch Gaurav hosting the Channel V show when he was a chubby n cute boy. In was in 10 th std. I forgot the name of the show but it was something like top 20 songs or something.
What a brilliant episode. 75 mins felt like 15 mins, the conversation was that entertaining and engaging. Evoked so much nostalgia as a late 80s kid :)
im a 2000 born and this was literally my childhood lol, both the cyrus’, ayushman and lola, so fun to watch on tv 😹 does anyone remember cheque de india ?
Omg i was literally smiling throughout the podcast.. such a nostalgic feeling.. Gaurav Kapur😍 I would literally run to switch on Channel V at 4 pm.. and it wasn’t for the songs.. loved all the trivia and cute stores shared..all the love for the OG influencers ❤❤❤
Ah the nostalgia... Sent me trawling through UA-cam for old bakra videos and 90s pop songs..rediscovering babul Supriya, sagarika, shweta Shetty, Shaam (though he is still relevant) and of course... Style bhai... Q-Funk!!?? such an inception level blast from the past!!! Thanks guys for transporting me back to the 90s 🥲
As a big fan of this show, I don’t understand why it doesn’t have more viewers. Maybe it’s because the younger generation doesn’t remember the fun and joy of the show. I still love watching it. I wish that more people had the chance to experience it. I find the show to be very entertaining, and I believe that it has a lot to offer viewers of all ages. I hope they continue to produce this show for a long time to come.
Grew up in 90’s in a tiny mountain town in HP but related to every show Tanmay mentioned! MTV was always our choice, in fact have sent an elaborate art made kn a big chart for song request to MTV most wanted! Thanks for all the nostalgia down memory lane. Gaurav is always fun to listen to
honestly even as a kid i never thought lolla wasn’t conventionally good looking, she had that model physique and it was easy to see that she was a beautiful woman, feel sad that she felt that way ♥️
The quietest Amit Tandon has ever been which was great because we wanted to listen to the actual guests. Gaurav Kapoor has so many stories, he needs a podcast of his own. Talking about Channel V VJs, how could we not mention VJ Andy. I loved Dare2Date and would love to see that show again. I think it would still be super relevant. Miss Channel V days 😢
Speaking of the song GK mentioned, it's from the 1992 movie Nishcaiy.. The music was composed by O.P.Nayyar sa'ab of all people! And here's what Wikipedia has to say about the soundtrack of the movie - "When the Venus company distributed the music for the film they were excited for O.P. Nayyar making a return to composing soundtracks for Hindi films. However, when the Venus bosses ended up hearing the songs, they decided they would no longer buy a film that O. P. Nayyar composed the soundtrack for. They felt the music was very dated and stopped all production of the soundtrack, after the initial release." 😂
I love your pod casts ! You have good choice of guests! I just wanted to tell you let it flow organically I feel you are sticking to your structure a lot let it be if chits weren’t used because the conversation that you guys are having was so interesting and don’t abruptly close down at the end, end it on a nice note not like ok tv is off now guys fuck offf 😂

He has not evolved. He hardly had anything to contribute

Good job guy! Cyrus Brocha would have added so much to this conversation.
Wo kisi aur ko bolnay nhi deta. Wo to Apnay show pe guest ko nhi bolnay deta 😂😂😂
It was good he didn’t come. He would not have let anyone else speak 😹

We are talking about Vjs and there is no cyrus Barocha? Wtf?
He would have hijacked the whole show
@prasadvasudevan2269 ya and I would have loved it!
He has his own podcast 😝
No, it's good he's not. He wouldn't let anyone talk.
Also this seems more of a Channel V thing
All your episodes are superb but this one takes us to that golden era of our youth
Thank you so much Amit tondon❤❤❤❤

MTV and V channel made us all keep up with pop culture and a lot of exposure we missed in small towns.
Tanmay bhai....hard relate on remembering Ek rupayee kya deta hai re
does anyone remember aditya roy kapur on channel v with his curly hair ?
Yeah his show was called pakaoo
Good to see Tandon starstruck and live his younger day 'heros'...his crush on Ruby Bhatia was shouting itself...
Gaurav Kapoor is so damn hilarious, it's insane to see the amount of talent in a guy!
honestly even as a kid i never thought lolla wasn’t conventionally good looking, she had that model physique and it was easy to see that she was a beautiful woman, feel sad that she felt that way ♥️
One of the best episodes and so relatable being a Creative Producer myself....so many memories and mutual people.
Loved this episode.
This is gold!! Specially for folks in my age range who grew up with this
As a 2000s I don't understand 😔....

Bring Cyrus Broacha and Cyrus Sahurkar to the podcast please!!
the movie with kamal siddhu was aar ya paar i think, had very good songs.
Channel V was my favorite during my school days…❤
Devang Patel's break away song was "Duniya jaaye tel lene aish tu kar"....
Channel V and MTV were the Zomato and Swiggy of that era… They were competitors but still were the biggest reason for each other’s growth…
Omg such a throwback!!
I laugh at dark jokes BUT nothing can beat classical clean comedy
😅😊
The Neelam show. It was very popular among the then teenagers and early 20s.
'mark idhar hai' 1:07:34 . if you know you know
