Kendrick Lamar Super Bowl interview was fantastic and it reminded us all why we love Kendrick Lamar #kendricklamar #superbowl #kendrickinterview #hiphop
Did anyone else notice in the interview when Kendrick mentioned being able to look in the mirror is more important than fame and celebrity status? 🤔 Kendrick constantly makes references to the “mirror”; it’s a recurring theme in many of his projects.
That part!!!! Self accountability is your biggest asset if you use it to grow and not inflate your ego but to self reflect and correct accordingly! KDot is him and that's why I always related to him and not Drake!
Probably because Kendrick wants the culture to "reflect" on their fake lifestyles and shallow messages they try to push as cool just as he has on Mr.Morale and other albums he's made
As an almost 61 years old mother/grandmother who has seen a lot musically, whether it’s reggae, soca, calypso and rap Kendrick does it for me musically, he’s the greatest of this generation and we need to be grateful that we have him. He’s also extremely humble and can articulate himself well. Congratulations Kdot
Excellent comment. Calypso is very expressive and passionate. Now that you mention it, he really tells stories with rap the way that people like sugar aloe, king obstinate and other calypso artists did. Music that makes you think and feel. Music that makes you do more than dance
Such an amazing man to inspire the young people. And as complex as his messages can be, it works for the kids. There are middle schools, high schools & universities that use Dot’s music to teach & the youth are more involved in the discussions, writing term papers & reports using KDot’s lyrics! He has an anointing on his life! Love this man & his choice to keep pursuing his art! He feeds us.❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I was very impressed with that young Lady and the intelligent- thoughtful questions she asked. I could tell that Kendrick was impressed as well. She needs to be the blueprint for hip hop journalism. If the rest of them aren't coming like this ....FIRED, PERIOD
This whole Kendrick vs Drake beef is a great reminder of what good vs bad impact on the culture looks like. Kendrick's music is taught in schools while Drake has nothing but pacifying music.
You mean again? It was number 1 when it dropped. It broke record for having 10 songs in the top 10 on billboard. It was the fastest album going Platinum in 2024. It remains the highest streamed rap album since it dropped in November
I really enjoyed this interview. Any interview I’ve seen Kendrick in he’s never dragging any other artist regardless of their relationship. He treats it as that was his job. Another thing that stood out to me is he looks like he’s still grieving the loss of his aunt.
I listened to Mr Morale and followed it with listening to DAMN for the first time during this ‘beef’ and let me tell you when GOD came on I just burst into tears!🥹I was literally overwhelmed by his ability to express himself!!! 🤌🏾HE IS SPECIAL 🤴🏾
This was an epic interview by them two. For them to ask Kendrick Lamar key questions and Ebro to thank Kendrick Lamar for making hip-hop a priority, was so giving to me as a viewer. People, as of 2023 were saying, Hip-hop is dead or dying, this? Debunked those views. Thanks Kdot 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
She did a fantastic job! I did not even realize they had an audience! We were all listening to his every word. Nobody could’ve done a better interview! It was calm, peaceful & comfortable yet making sure to cover all the questions we really wanted to know.💯💯💯💯👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Great breakdown 👌🏿 👏🏿 👍🏿...I agree with you 💯 👍🏿 ...Kdot is such a gift to all of us. His ability to touch and inspire others through rap music is amazing.
The thing that amazes me about Kendrick is that he Ross about a *very* specific life (a Black Christian kid/man growing up in Compton, immersed in hip hop, fighting his way to success, facing the temptations of fame, etc.) and he does it in a way that clearly speaks to people with very similar backgrounds; but *also* speaks to me-a white woman of a different generation, who grew up lower middle class, lives Rick and metal, and is an atheist. His art reflects *life* so well that even someone living in a completely different world can relate to what he’s expressing. I think Mr. Morale hits harder than any other album I’ve ever heard. The pain and honesty and growth was palpable.
1. I'm kinda scared how, Kendrick's pauses and nervousness will come off to those haters. He does this all the time even with Kobe interview, he takes his time so he's not just yapping. 2. The dude was trying so hard just to get Aubrey's named uttered 🙄 3. SHE'S AMAZING ❤
That interview was one of the best pieces of media I’ve seen recently, it gave me a whole new view on his songwriting and talent. I even saved a quote from him, his answer to the last kids question from the audience, about authenticity
Thank you for shouting out Nadeska. I'm so glad that she never compromised her talent and integrity for popularity. I was so excited for her! Ebro did a wonderful job as well. It was nice to see three grown-ups in the room. It made for a much better conversation that I will re-watch because it was so inspiring on several different levels.
It is so wonderful to be amongst people who see how fantastically and immaculately the interview was done. People that get how humble, articulate, and passionate Kendrick is. ✌🏽😊
U JUST 💯 💯 💯 DPOKE VOLUMN WE NEED TO STOP AND CHECK OUT OURSELVES THAT'S THRONLY WAY TO DEAL WITH OURSELVES AMD OTHERS EVERYBODY NEEDS LUV ❤️ AND SOME PEOPLE THAT'S IN THE RAP BUSINESS THINKS THAT IT'S ABOUT VIOLENCE BUT IT'S NOT U SAY AND SPEAK THE RIGHT LANGUAGE THAT'S HIP JOP U FON'T HAVE TO USE VIOLENCE TO SHOW UR MUSICAL TALENT WHEN KENDRICK GET GOING IT'S KNOWLEDGE IT'THE CULTURE U RIGHT KENDRICK
Recognize the artist that is sent to us for clarity. 2 PAC, Marvin Gaye's " What's Going On? ", Stevie Wonders " As". Can you feel it ? That's the human connection. Power to all people. ❤
Kendrick Lamar is very inspiring, and I love it. Hip-hop needed that reboot because if it kept going the way it was. Who knows where hip hop would have been.
KDot is so introspective and his music reflects that! "I discover myself when I fall short!" -Kendrick Lamar 6:16 in LA is my favorite diss track from the battle he is so inspiring and wish he would do interviews more often because he be dropping real life gems! New subscriber btw!
Jalopy, you are a wise person. It's good to hear that you recognize professional Journalism because many are critical of the interview because no Drake questions were asked. Great Interview
Your videos and breakdowns are spot on young bruh!!!! Dot truly is a “forever” artist that a lot of people hate on because he’s so authentic!!! Much respect to the 🐐 of this generation!!!
Thank you for Ashley understanding somebody on here said that they would be 61 I will be 62 next week and I was never into hip hop too much but I understand it you know as a person who sang as a child it was so weird I started singing with Diana Ross and then with the Supremes and then I moved on and then I discovered Denise Williams and then that's when I discovered that I had a opera range and a nun took the time and taught me singing lessons but the journalist to talk to him it was so impressive and that was the best interview I've ever seen ever thank you for covering it. Because I'm so proud of him He got me through some dark times when my son passed away thank you
Like KENDRICK Said in WATCH THE PARTY DIE.🎶 They DON'T HATE ME they HATE THE MAN I REPRESENT Nothing BUT HONESTLY Because Really A lot of PEOPLE DON'T Get him or HIS MUSIC Because they Choose to Stay in IGNORANCE and DO NOT Want to OR even Want to DO ANYTHING DIFFERENT Because KENDRICK LAMAR'S MUSIC HAS ALWAYS BEEN HONEST DEEP and MEANINGFUL Very and THAT'S REALLY WHAT WE Need But a lot of PEOPLE are SCARED to Take it THERE SO Kendrick Said they WON'T SO I WILL I LOVE IT I WILL ALWAYS LOVE HIS MUSIC FOR SURE HE JUST IS HIMSELF He is AUTHENTIC he DOESN'T SEEK VALIDATION or ACCEPTANCE From Anyone he KNOWS WHO HE IS And that is JUST THAT PEOPLE can LOOK and AT HIM and Say WHATEVER They PLEASE BUT HIS MUSIC and WHO he is SPEAKS FOR IT'S SELF He is NOT PERFECT But HE BELIEVES IN SOMETHING WAY DEEPER and BIGGER than LIFE HE DOESN'T have to BE ANYONE but HIMSELF HE Doesn't have to PRETEND He Said in Many SONGS that HE IS NOT OKAY WE UNDERSTAND that But also it SEEMS like Many People would Rather LISTEN TO NONSENSE that's HOW I SEE it and A LOT of the Youth and Grown PEOPLE DON'T REALIZE How NEGATIVE that can BE because they are Comfortable WHERE THEY ARE
bro thank you for your work. when you go in on these videos like surgeon and breakdown and dissect and help us digest information like this, especially this, i feel is also an extension of the message sent forth. i feel thankful, and i consider it too to be top tier journalism. thank you. if you ever decide to do long format digests/retrospect/and reviews of monumental albums, you've already made a big fan of me and i'd click watch them joints so fast. -this from a broken man who listens to kdot albums as a form of therapy.
It’s his character as a human being. He has INTEGRITY and it’s important to him to maintain it no matter what. No money/a lot of money….his integrity never changed. And he’s a BEAST at the same damn time. He is loved and RESPECTED in general. And it’s for a reason. That MAN is built differently!!
Yeah, she asked the right questions.....👏🏿
She did a very good job. Both of them did, it was a great interview.
Man at the garden deserves a Grammy.
The whole album
Yes that's my favorite song off that album, maybe next to Reincarnated
@@BuckBroD1Testimony yes

Why do we love Kendrick Lamar? There's levels to it, you and I know.
he lowkey gotta be humble
U gotta sit down to think about it.
She did research and prepared for the interview. ✌🏾💜
Body mind and soul Kendrick Lamar is an inspiration for generations.
Kendrick Lamar is so humble 👑
Being humble is recognizing your flaws so you can compassionately give grace to other flawed humans.
I was very impressed with that young Lady and the intelligent- thoughtful questions she asked. I could tell that Kendrick was impressed as well. She needs to be the blueprint for hip hop journalism. If the rest of them aren't coming like this ....FIRED, PERIOD
I love journalists that ask thoughtful, insightful, UNIQUEEEEE questions!!!!!
It’s okay to be emotional yall. PLEASE EXPRESS IT!!!! We all on this world to create. ❤
Dude came on to scene and told wonderful stories that I could relate to.
She asked dope questions and his answers were dope. It was to get to know him and his thoughts and not on some drama shit
This whole Kendrick vs Drake beef is a great reminder of what good vs bad impact on the culture looks like. Kendrick's music is taught in schools while Drake has nothing but pacifying music.

Love it when black men speak openly about their own experiences and emotions. Great video.

This man is incredible. The questions and responses were phenomenal! Applause to everyone!
I'd like to see him act more, too. He was good in that one show. As long as it doesn't get in the way of more music
The power of the presence is extremely important- a bar!!!!

The interviewers did well, i was impressed, Kendrick cruised that interview honestly
Shout out jalopy for the dope videos
Having trained as a journalist in the UK, she posed precisely the right questions at the right moments, which is no easy feat.
Hip Hop/ Rap Art In its purest form.
I agree 100%, my biggest take away and inspiration from this interview was being present in the moment!
Oh, you brought it back. I see it now
So Grateful for such a man.
