Hey Tatiana, Good video. The shacks in Goa are temporary structure, and by law they have to close every year as part of conservation of sea and reduce pollution. Then from Sept onwards fresh licences are issued and they reconstruct the shacks in October and be ready for a new season till March!
I was stuck there during the pandemic. Lived in Arambol for 6 months. Ate at Grantik all the time. Cheap and well set up and loads of people go there. Loved the place. The monsoon hit and it closed for a time. Loved the place.

Lots of places which were illegal were demolished which were in the CRZ zone. There are still many places to be demolished. People had built illegal structures left, right and center.
I have great memories of one of my best vacations in Arambol. It was 2009, I was in a music band, my vocalist and I stayed in Arambol for 15 days at the end of December. We didn't find any place on the beach to stay and set up a tent on the beach just outside one of the shacks (Cocks town it was). The owner kindly let us use the washrooms and the shack to laze around during the midday heat. After a few days, an Israeli dude set up his tent next to mine and later a couple of Russians did the same. I met the most amazing musicians from all over the world during that time. Best jam sessions in the evening, the crowd was entirely foreigners and the vibe was so amazing. Miss those days, my latest visit to Arambol was last year and the vibe has changed completely, sadly not the same anymore.
I am traveling to Goa for just 3 days next month and have been super confused with the best beaches to stay at and visit. There is just so much to see.. This video has made me reconsider a lot. I am starting off in Candolim for a day and then was going to do Baga and Calagunte on day 2 and then Anjuna and Vagator during day 3 and maybe 1 casino. But maybe Arambol is a must visit seeing this vibe.. I want to come to go and experience the real Psy Trance and Electronic music scene when I'm out at night. Do you have any recommendations and whats the best locations to stay?
FYI My dear the reason the shacks are closed all over goa is because the new law states that only goan r allowed to run the shacks and the shack licence r given to goans only once the licence is given the owner cannot lease nor transfer the licence to somebody else hence only goans can get the shack licence to run the shack. The reason for the shakes getting closed in Arambol is mainly due to the increase in the rental to run the shakes and over the years the international people visiting Arambol has drastically decreased....I still remember earlier in 2015 ...If you come to Arambol it was like full of Hippies and Russian people you can hardly find any Indian people and Arambol was like a small village less developed and very naturefull ..but now the things have changed....you will find more indian people and also you have pay commission to local groups and thats the reason shakes are getting closed 😊

Hi Tatiana, this is my humble request can you make a video of people who are starving in Arambol including Russians because of hunger I lost my Russian friend last year in the jungle he committed suicide and I don't know why people are not noticing them and ignoring them so badly because they look dirty, please lets not lose our love towards humble and needy people and my boyfriend is also Russians and he went to cookie wala and they told him to go away because he didn't had money to buy food, he just wants to sit and listen to music what's wrong, people are so heartless, we have to help each other.
Other shacks are close because of the government intervention some of them was not legally permitted and so on …they were going on bcz of the government lenient behaviour towards them but bcz of some reason not sure… Government decide to intervene and want to rearrange everything leaglly Note I also listened this from the locals when I was there

What i heard in the news is that many Russians this year prefering to stay in a star hotels or resorts instead of cheap rental places.
