Loved the video, I passed the assessment centre with an 8.4 on the bleep test. Couple of days before going I did the bleep test and gave up on level 5.5 which really demotivated me, but on the day the adrenaline kicked in and also running and pacing yourself with others doing the bleep test with you really helps. x
Do all the things that is advised on the video. If you hit low on practice, just aim 5+ and increase by 5 each week. So, if you can only get level 5.5, then aim for 6 and only do that for a week (3 x practices with rest days in between.) When you get to about lev 7.5/ 8, it’s all about digging in! But, the more you do it, the better you will become. I served for 24 years and bleep tests in the Infantry was 10.8, which mimicked the old PFA, which made the bleep test the same distance of 2600m. I trained a lot of solders and had to deal with this test personally, so I’ve been there and I feel your pain! Hope you all make it, there is no job like it, trust me 👍🏻
your movement when getting to the line and turning is flawless oh wow. i'm practicing tomorrow morning, i hope i can replicate how you do it! really great video 😁😁🙌
I had failed the Bleep test for RAF Reg gunner, I made the mistake of not even practicing the test before hand, stupid on my end, I've done it over 8 times now and increased my sprint training dramatically ready for my re-do next month. For the RAF when we got there, was no warm up or a chance for one and they made us do the bleep test right away, but now I'm allot fitter I know I can do it now as I was anxious before.
Needed 11.6 got 11 and slipped on the line, footwear was also working against me slipped over on the team tasks aswell when they tell you to sprint to the next one, so make sure you get good grip running trainers, going again this Monday 🏃♂️
Well done that girl 👍👍, love what you are doing to help motive our young soldiers to come, I'm now 53, and hearing a bleep means I'm still alive, 😁😁, Things have changed so much my advice would be useless, but ☺, the bleep test along with all the other wonderful PT activities is about, fitness, stamina and agility, Try doing your own bleep test (down load an app) wearing webbing and boots, check your score, next with your daysack, check your score, if completely mad add your plate carrier 🤔, this may sound daft, there is no goal, this is a way to judge your own ability in the field when it hits the fan, Question, under superior fire do you drop your daysack to make you more mobile? Answer 1, yes because the extra weight will slow me down allowing me to be captured or killed. Answer 2, no, I know my level of fitness carrying this kit, it is not a problem and I will be in a better position if I do not lose any kit to the enemy. This is just tips, if you are in civvies, put some books in a small rucksack, anything to add weight to give you some resistance. Best of wishes Chelsie 👍❤❤🇬🇧
Im 16 and ive signed up and now im just trying to learn as much as possible about what to do, I feel like I could pass most the tests (apart from the maths test lol) but my stamina is really shitty so im a bit worried about the long distance running, but i have enough time to train so hopefully ill be fine.
Thanks super useful video, got my AOSB next week and it’s best as you can get now (was previously 8.7) so gonna try for level 10, been hitting 7.8 so hoping these tips will get me to ten.
Thanks so much for your videos Chelsie! ive watched alot of them on the joining process.. im 31 year old fitness is pretty much nothing so trying to get my self to a good point haha :D im trying to join the reserves in a engineer role.
I remember doing a bleep test in PE at School. Did ok but probably could have done better. regulating breathing was probably something I should have done. Not sure what score I got though.
I did mine at home a few days ago for practice and I got 7.6 is would mean I would pass in Australian army I believe it's 7.5 for army and 6.0 something for navy and sir force (I'm Australia) I prayed to God that I could pass this cos I really wanna join the army and I passed now I'm waiting for the army to send me a email for a online test hoping I make it in
I have fitness test for PCSO and is 5.4 .I have the test on 5th May and i start training 3 weeks ago ..I don't know if is enough time but hopefully I will pass as I am working full time and I make training when I am off actually 4 days /week ,30 min in the morning and 30 min afternoon

I'm struggling to get to level 9.4 on 15 meters length. The highest level was 7.8. Hopefully your video will help me to reach the missing levels. Also, do you have any tips on how to improve my stamina? Tha k you
Managed to get 12.9 on my practice tests aiming for 14 today 💪 and 2km in 8.36 best I can do on the 🏃♂️ 🏃♂️. I have to do both math and English test as I've got no certification for either... are they hard?
They're great scores! The tests are aimed at the pass mark for GCSE's so I wouldn't say they're difficult. I haven't personally sat them but BBC Bitesize offers great revision tools if you want to do some prep.
im joining the army and in need a 6.7 but atm i at 5.2-6.2. it is mainly i run out of breathe. How would you say the way to regulate your breathing? and do you breathe through your mouth or your nose?
I'd say you've just got to find the rhythm when you're running, so that you're breathing is natural as you increase the pace. Towards the higher levels your breathing will be difficult because you'll be pushing yourself but you just need to push through. It's all practice!
I saw something about trying to breathe through both at same time, definitely not just nose i would have thought, this event's all about getting as much oxygen through the lungs as possible to get to the high numbers. Got mine soon hopefully, good luck!
I feel really demoralised, i have PCOS so weight gain has always been an isuse for me. I want to be a prison officer and i need 5.4 for that. I did my first practice today and i struggled to get to level 3... Im just going to keep going and see if i can get it up a few 0.0s a day
Military Fitness channel has a video which seems to be the official audio i think. Yeah I was paranoid after i realised some of the apps have different timing! 😬
Yes, they should do. But you should be aiming to hit higher levels than you need as it’ll look better, put you in better stead for training and enable you to get a sooner training date for basic.

2km daily runs has helped a lot with my bleep test from 5.4 to an 8.6
Stretching is VERY important.

I couldn't agree most with all you said. Thanks for sharing.
I find the bleep test more harder than than 2km run. I can run 2km in 8:45min but only get to 8 in the bleep test.
So do I! Would rather do the 2km any day of the week

How do you prep for beep test what exercises should you do at gym
Hey Chelsie, loving the videos and army content, i wanted to ask how did you measure the length for the bleep test?
I measured the length of my trainer and then how many feet it would take to be 20m. Not scientific but it gets the job done! 🤣

Is timing a factor in the Bleep test or you just have to run between the lines at your own pace?
The audio for the bleep test determines your speed. You run to the beep.
Did you do your bleep test at pirbright? If so, was it indoors or out?
I did a bleep test outdoors for my AC but during training it was the 2km run.
Great vid - did you use a specific app? Would be great to make sure I’m using the same bleep test!

Just a quick question, if I need level 6.6 on the beep test and at level 6.4 I start missing beeps because of the 3 rule will they count it at 6.6?
