I would have loved to see him do it even a bit more seriously... in this performance he is playing a comic character of a "buff man in a dress" so he is keeping his knees purpousfully bent, losing his turn out etc. It would be awesome to see him doing this variation with his perfect technique troughout it all, not only in the amazing jumps and turns.
ok I know this is played for laughs so it’s technically scuffed on purpose, and god would I kill to see him do the original variation full out, but as a former dancer I’m twice as impressed with this version. Like it’s one thing to be bad at a routine or certain steps and perform anyways, but this due is definitely hamming up the man-in-dress-is-bulky-and-less-coordinated bit for the laugh, which is SO MUCH HARDER TO PULL OFF THAN THE ORIGINAL DANCE. he’s clunky and on purpose, but makes it look natural and it’s just wickedly impressive to me
@@Maspets trust and believe its harder to make something purposely look bad than to do it technically correct. proper technique is to make the steps easier to achieve not harder, so purposely doing it wrong will achieve the complete opposite. he isnt even dancing over his box which means he has an even smaller platform to balance on and still balancing without issue.

I've always said how Dancers defy gravity. This was truly AMAZING! The leaps was incredibly magnificent and proves that Dancing is what they were BORN TO DO!!! NYC😮
The interpretive quality of Ivan Vasiliev is spectacular. All the drama in "Le jeunne homme et la morte" and in this one performs all the humor and waste of sympathy. Without forgetting all his strength in the "golden idol". ¡¡¡CHAPEAUX!!!

It's cool to see professional dancers that are so humble to make fun of themselves like this ☺️ Dancers (especially those who are still learning) tend to take themselves too seriously sometimes, and this brings them to self-disappointment and too much self-criticism. We are sure this kind of videos could help them to see the good side of staying positive 💪

The back ground scene sign [ 問吞 ] is meaningless in Chinese, correction could be [ 雲吞 ] , a type of common food in China. It is fun to watch !!!!!!!

Not only is this hilarious but he is terrific - he can execute most of the moves as well as the best female dancers. You can enjoy this either as technically good dance or as amusement. The only part where females are somewhat better is in spinning because of their flexibility.
