Eren acts like a little bitch crying because he couldn’t pork Mikasa. Once Chapter 139 gets animated, Attack On Titan is going to transcend beyond space and time with how literally atrocious it is. I despise Attack On Titan from every fiber of my being.
Attack on Titan isn't just one of the greatest anime of all time, but one of the greatest pieces of media and stories of all time. The fact that they've successfully blended a World War style with a complete fantasy concept is astounding.
The animation during Hange's sacrifice and the Alliance's ODM scene near the end was incredible. The new songs that were made for it were amazing as well. Mappa straight up killing their animators at this point. The only thing I can even be somewhat disappointed about is the angle of Kid Eren's 'Freedom!' scene, but even that was more of my own personal nitpicks and not an objectively huge thing that hurts the overall experience that much.
i agree that freedom scene wasnt adapted that well but thats because its just too iconic. we all expected more than realistically possible, something out of this world. mappa is still doing stellar job with aot anyway. hayashi is a god tier director
The symbolism of kid Eren and Ymir standing next to each other at the base of the beam was incredible. The ideology of Eren was one that he developed as a child, and it stuck with him into his current years. Him and Ymir now have one goal - to finally be free.
They made hanji's sacrifice way more emotional than in the manga ,like if I could use numbers to express how emotional this scene was ,I believe the biggest number you can think of would not be enough to justify how amazing and sad that scene was. It legitimately made me cry!! The episode as a whole was pure peak!!
I agree. A lot of comments aren’t remembering some of the details from the manga about her death, saying the death in manga seemed more pointless than a sacrifice, but she definitely took down plenty of titans in the manga and the anime adapted it more clearly. Like any manga to anime adaptation. Music, motion, emotion, all of it was well done and enhanced the scene.
@@jooniebewatchin what the anime did very more clearly is that she put down the titans on the direct path to the aitship in the mange it seemed she just kills 2 titans and dies for no reason the anime really showed how other gigatitans tripped over and needed longer to reach the destination
If someone writing a story pitched an end of the world scenario where a bunch of naked giants trampled everyone, I probably would have laughed and said it was stupid. But here, the execution of it was phenomenal. The uncanny, unexpressive design of the titans, the red hues, the people desperately trying to escape, screaming, being crushed, burned alive, it’s crazy. My favorite moment was definitely with that swinging door. Before there were dozens of terrified, scrambling people trying to get through the door. Then its suddenly replaced with stillness and death as what’s left of the door swings in the wind. Great contrast, great stuff.
This episode is the first time ive EVER had my jaw on the floor from a show, I know everything that happens, yet I was still shocked to my core, the animation, the voice acting, the story, seeing my favourite series being FINALLY animated fully, I can't I'm so emotional, I love this show with every fiber of my being it just gets better and better. Words can't express how amazing this show is so I'm just talking out my ass. I can't wait until autumn
The disappointed moment in the manga is one of my favorite moments in all of manga but the anime found a way to exceed my expectations, the ost for Ramzi death is so amazing, the anime only scenes of the rumbling are terrifying especially seeing Eren’s grandfather.
The most tragic part is that they likely died thinking they deserved every part of it. Had it not been for Zeke’s betrayal of Marley, they might not have been trapped in prison
People who are complaining about how long we have to wait for the next part, I don’t understand it. If it looks like THIS?! I will wait as long as I have too. And honestly, I don’t want this series to end.
The next part is arguably the most difficult of all the manga to animate too with so much stuff going on all at once. I'd rather they took more time and got it looking great instead or rushing it and it look underwhelming.
Hange had the best goodbye, she was happy about doing it, she always was so passionate about titans, her wings of freedom will burn forever bright. What an amazing character.
i cried so much while watching Hange’s sacrifice. seeing her reunited with Erwin and Moblit helping her get up off the ground made me sob. i really like how i felt pure terror from the rumbling. it grounded me so i could empathize with the innocent people trying to flee and feel cornered. it says a lot about the intended mood and tone. the episode was amazing and i loved the animation
Hanji's death was referencing icarus from the Norse mythology.she has a wings of freedom in her back she flys towards Titans. fascinated by them she gets too close to them and get burned and fall like a fallen Angel
Mappa really have perfected bledlnding 2D and cgi together. Going from zeke vs levi in the forest to the plane scenes in this episode is absolutely amazing. Somehow, they made it go from incredibly jarring and immersion breaking to actually enhancing the scene
Minute 5:19-11:20 of the episode is probably the best thing I’ve ever seen in animation. From the music (specifically those low strings) to the voice acting from Yuki Kaji, the production of the camera shots, the actual devastation The Rumbling is causing, the backstory leading up to it all. I don’t know how it can get better than those 6 minutes. Absolute world class television.
Hangë's death made me cry an insane amount when i first read the manga because i genuinely didn't realise i loved them that much and i had to take an entire day to process it even though i KNEW it was gonna be a part of this episode as that one scene of Hangë flying in front of the titans was in the trailer it was just so SO beautifully animated it was absolutely gorgeous and made me ugly cry for like 10 entire minutes and i know it would have been worse if i had not read the manga
Why does everyone skip over the fact that eren literally says he's doing it because he was disappointed that the world wasnt an empty place to explore? Thats the most important part of this entire characterisation. It's completely in line with his character.
A little off base. He’s not doing this solely because of disappointment. In fact it has little to do with it. He’s just grieving his inaccurate expectations. Armin said the exact same words, it doesn’t drive you to genocide. It’s just a little disappointing. He’s clearly doing it for more than disappointment, that would be awful writing. “The mountains had people so I squashed them all because I imagined them empty” like wtf show did you watch?! He was disappointed, but the disappointment isn’t what drove it. It was WHAT he was disappointed in. Internment camps, his aunt being eaten by dogs, etc. A lack of freedom in short. It was the extreme actions by opposition leading to the disappointment, but it was the extreme actions from the opposition that fueled him. Since episode 1 he wanted to dominate his enemies (Titans), not realizing they were all his people. His enemies changed. That disappointed him they were all his people. And no one was actually truly GUARANTEED freedom if they left the island. Just a bigger cage. That is not freedom to him, which is why Armin is actually misunderstanding when he asks “What part of you is free?” Because the alternative was get massacred by Marley over time. Not freedom. Eren made this choice as it was the only freedom afforded to him by his environment. At the end of the day, it’s his choice and therefore freedom. This is where we as readers have to consider is their true freedom? The answer is: independent of your environment? No. Our environment shape our potential and our what freedoms we have. Freedom is never entirely free or entirely accessible to a single individual. For real world example, as someone in a first world country, I recognize I have more freedom than someone in another country might. Due to the environment affording me more potential paths to exhibiting freedom. Eren is free because he didn’t sit like cattle and wait to die. Paradis is CLEARLY very limited in freedoms, leaving Eren with few options to seek the freedom he wanted. You might want to reassess the line “I’m not going to leave Eldia’s future to chance” when Armin asks him to stop on paths and let them negotiate a treaty. That’s the key line, not the disappointment. Eren even acknowledged this isn’t what’s best for the world in the flashback where he saw the mugging in the alley, but he can’t accept the alternative of his people being exterminated while he just lets it happen like cattle to a slaughter. Just remember disappointment happened, but you’re turning correlation into causation. I removed the other factors and left you with the mountain example based purely off disappointment and how that would be bad writing. It contributes, but it is not as substantial as the actions causing the disappointment. The actions are to blame, not the result. Even Eren knows that.
@@jooniebewatchin he literally says "I wanted this... I wanted to wipe everything away". I'd argue that's the actual reason he commits to the rumbling of everything. There are a lot of things he could've done that wouldnt have required killing everyone outside the walls, for example he's already destroyed almost every military naval vessel at the start of the rumbling, he could've conquered the world by destroying the militaries and re-establishing the eldian empire. he explicitly states that he wanted everything wiped away and that the protection of paradis isn't all there is to it. Furthermore I can't remember any hint at Marley or any other nation planning to wipe out the eldians even though that would have been logical and reasonable considering the history.
For me it's a really tough toss up between this, the hero episode with Erwins charge, erens memory time travel episode, and founder ymirs past episode. This show/manga has some of the best episodes or chapters ever. It's so hard to pick favorites. So many powerful and significant scenes that have such huge meaning in the broader scope of the whole of attack on titan. I still think season 3 part 2 is the best season overall since it's just 1 giant epic with tragedies layered in. An entire season of just 1 single conflict/battle. 1 of the best seasons in all of anime. Plus it's short/well condensed. It's only like what, 10, 11 episodes? I cant give season 1 my vote for best season because it's before all the huge plot moments start unfolding. Can't give season 2 my vote because it's too slow with only a small handful of big moments. Can't give season 3 part 1 my vote because it's also relatively uneventful and is the stories slow point since titans take a backseat and we dive more into politics and government of Paradis. Can't give season 4 my vote because it's too broken up and....God I just can't lie I'm still a little disappointed in the cgi for the liberio fight and the shinganshina fight. It got better in shinganshina but nothing compares to the crisp hand drawn animation that we've been spoiled with in this shows previous seasons. For me it's between season 3 part 2 and season 4 part 2....and I guess this movie counts for part 2? Season 3 part 2 was the most clean, concise, well put together season, with beautiful animation and art (except for the colossal titan), and had some of the best story beats in it, and character moments too. But season 4 part 2/hour special, although it had worse animation for titans, it has more total episodes that are the high points of aots story and characters, with the absolute biggest events in the manga, the overall most important arc, has the most important story moments, and at least has improved cgi from season 4 part 1. If only season 4 was cleaner (more put together, less parts) And had more 2d animation for titans. In all fairness, season 3 was broken into 2 parts, and I'm just ignoring part 1, so it might not be fair to say season 4 is too broken up since so is 3, but again I'm just ignoring part 1 of season 3 because all of season 3 best moments are in part 2. Kinda the same with season 4. If we consider the seasons in their entirety (combining all parts into 1) then I think season 4 is definitely better since season 4 part 1 and the special are way stronger than season 3 part 1. But again season 3 part 2 is so good that it by itself can rival season 4. It's like choosing your favorite child.
@@spazzels50 I've watched plenty, 150+ anime to be precise but that doesn't matter. My top 5s are: 1. AOT Special 1 2. The Other Side of Gateway 3. Landscape of the End 4. Hero 5. End of the prologue
These are all in my top 10: 1. Memories of the future 2. Hero 3. AOT special 1 4. The Other Side of the Gateway 5. End of the prologue 6. Re, (Code Geass) 7. Declaration of War 8. Landscape of the End 9. Sworn Enemy (Gintama) 10. Death of the Undying (FMAB)
Isayama once said that he took inspiration form the movie the Mist and how at the conclusion m the main characters belief of what’s right us corrupted and i think it drives how Eren’s drive for freedom gets corrupted as he goes from defending innocent’s freedom like Mikasa to taking away the freedom of many innocents all to fulfill his selfish desire of reaching that empty plain. (One underrated aspect of the episode is what Hange tells Armin about what the survey corps stand for about understanding)
Bro AOT has like most of the most rated episodes in imdb of all time the only tv show/web series/anime To take 2 episode in 10/10 imdb rating its only has AOT AoT is goated masterpiece 🛐
I would say that eren hasn´t change at all. He was always the same, he would kill for his own freedom, like when eren and mikasa met the first time he killed for freedom.
Those fans who always cry about OST doesn't know shit about OST Theme meaning. It should match with theme rather than OH wow it looks good. You know what most songs looks good when you play in background. You see Big Girl Soundtrack = Betrayal. Putting in Eren all scenes does not make sense because Eren never betrayed anyone that Betrayed scene works well with Reiner and Berthod because they Betrayed their comrades.
This Episode was do good, one of The best ever. I agree that it was peak anime. Oh God. Both heartbreaking and breathtaking. They knocked it out of the park this time. The Rumbling, the Hange scene, the Paths, the ending sequence. 👏 👏 👏
For Attack On Titan is the greatest and best written anime of all time. Very Unique story and most intense, thrilling and suspense that you cannot find in other anime. Most anime is just for kids but this anime is masterpiece.
I agree it was really well done and beautifully animated episode! But for me the most memorable and one of the best was "Two Brothers" episode with all the twists and reveals!
I agree with most of your observations, especially the one about the OST. This movie episode delivered exactly what I had envisioned for these chapters. Actually no, it delivered more than what I expected. The most powerful scenes like: -Ramzi, Halil. -Eren's internal speech -The entire airplane sequence with Hange's final showdown Were all animated beautifully. The weight and brutality of these scenes could be felt through the screen. OST choices for Eren-Ramzi and Hange scenes were incredible, they truly elevated those scenes. For the rest ost was good, except maybe for the last sequence. The survivaing Marleyans breakdown and realization was also done beautifully. They even gave us the Falco scene which I was hoping for. Honestly, I couldn't hope for more as a manga reader, for me what truly mattered was delivering the intensity of these scenes and conveying the emotion of the characters. Mappa truly nailed it, as it did with season 4 as well. Especially part 2 of season 4, certain episodes are masterpieces and the very best of the anime in my opinion.
Levi is barely able to walk down the stairs at one point, hardly has the strength to press his ODM gear; Somehow manages to go into full fighting modus less than a day later. The mechanics claim that it takes an hour to fix the plane’s bullet-holes; They end up doing it in less than 15, while fueling the tank as well. Mikasa tells Annie to go and practice the new ODM gear, even though the episode’s action sequences clearly show that they’re using the old gear (in fact, Mikasa is transporting boxes containing the old gear while she tells Annie to go and practice the new gear). Armin is somehow able to draw a perfect depiction of Eren’s final titan, despite only going by Pieck’s description of it, who remarks that she was barely able to see it as well. Floch is somehow still alive after clinging on to the boat for up to 10 hours (how?), proceeds to shoot as aimlessly as possible; Two shots hit the floor, two hit nothing, and one hits the plane, but in the end it turns out that he managed to miraculously hit the plane three times after all. Also, Floch shouldn’t have been able to talk after being pierced in the throat by a hook the size of an average human handpalm. Mikasa is somehow able to deduce Annie’s feelings for Armin, from a distance of 30 meters, even though there is no eye contact between the two at all-while Annie doesn’t say anything that implies Armin or romantic feelings. It’s a little too late to keep children (Gabi and Falco) out of the war, not to mention that they really need Falco’s titan powers if they want to stand a chance against Eren’s extremely overpowered titan. Annie’s decision to leave the fight is objectively out of character for the following reason: After her defeat against the Survey Corps in the first season, a devastated Annie was willing to help Marlow in his pursuit of justice against the Military Police, even though it had nothing to do with her general mission-this makes it extremely uncharacteristic for Annie to flee a fight as noble as this one. And the best one: Pieck is able to transform while magically wrapping the explosives (which were all tangled up in the plane barely a minute ago) around her titan’s body (in very neat fashion) simultaneously, all while jumping off a flying plane, without damaging even a single one of the explosives with her transformation. This stuff is terribly written from an objective point of view, and anyone who’s unwilling to understand that this was intentional is an insufferable idiot.
@@oakmars8062 Keep explosives intact while exploding during a transformation into a titan? Nahhh dawg. Try again. I see your logic, but the titans explode while transforming. That would set off the explosives.
Probably just like Reiner he’s half Eldian Part of he is part eldian but then why he didn’t part of all eldian in the path where Eren made a speech of destroying the world ? If he hears his speech then he could have panic
@@gensischosen251 because he didn't understand a word Eren said because he speaks a different language. so to him it was probably just a weird dream/daydream.
I wish the anime had kept that disturbing, heart-wrenching scene of those crowds of people being trampled and run of a cliffside, all the while a falling woman tossing back her baby and the crowd, despite their dispair, catching and trying to protect it. There were also other cities being destroyed in the manga. A city that looked like London/Europe and the race there being of Black ethnicity, a country (Hizuru?) that looked very similar to Japan, etc.
Can't wait for the final episode but at the same time don't want this amazing show to end Mapp really want us to cry after the end of AOT what an amazing journey thanks WIT AND MAPPA FOR YOUR HARD WORK ALL THOSE YEARS Also not to forgot about the GOT (iseyama) 😞🔥
Yeah no joke during Hange’s death scene I felt like (animation wise) I was back to watching s3. It had so many angles and flowed so well, just like their incredible s3 scenes with the Levi chase etc. Truly one of the best deaths in AOT
Say what you want. But AOT is the only anime that is flawless. In my opinion , it's the only anime that has a perfect story , amazing mc ,good side characters , banger osts , openings and endings , no pacing issues , exquisite animation , mind-blowing plot twists like c'mon aint no anime like that. And don't even get me started on emotional scenes , no anime hits hard in an emotional point of view like aot. What an anime and what a masterpiece !!
It was a masterpiece turned into a shit show by the last 5 chapters. This story became meaningless once you see 139 animated but continue to believing this anime is goated 🤦🏾
Great video , this episode honestly might be one of the greatest in television, especially the first part of the episode, i had straight up chills during the entire first part Btw can u list the osts which u used in the video
@@scottgimple8107 Which ones? I watched Breaking bad, Sopranos, Star Wars, etc. In fact, I watched 300+ tv shows and I would still agree. Not the best but one of the best.
I knew I picked a good anime to call my favourite. Does anyone else remember how crazy the internet went back in 2012 when the first episode dropped? That changed anime imo.
I agree! Eren's desire for freedom is what defines his journey, like Erwin's curiosity and desire to clear his father's name - they both share that quality in Walter White. On the surface their motivations are for their family's or loved ones, but underneath it all is a more selfish reason because they are human after all (well mostly, idk about Erin at this point lol)
We saw all 3 different timelines!!!! Starts off with Adult mikasa from cabin 1st timeline reaching out to manga kid Eren from 2nd timeline because he is seating down then the next cut we see from Eren point of view looking up at the tree then camera switches angle and he wakes up from laying down like in the anime we had an Eren wake up from seating and laying down and we know that is cabin mikasa because the only mikasa we know of that says see you later is the cabin mikasa but that Eren she reached out to was a kid Eren with no markings that’s not cabin Eren it’s a kid! Also in the song by sim it’s says “don’t make a mess of me memories” and if you’ve played muv luv when takeru starts experiencing the memories of all different takeru from different timelines one of the girls says this “Even if everything goes well, your conscious will slowly meld with that of the other takerus, so you will turn into a “third” takeru with the memories of both!” That’s what is happening to Eren !! A mess of his different memories also in chapter 139 of manga when Eren is talking to armin and is explaining things Eren says “ my head has gotten all messed up, the founder power has made it so that there is no past or future.. it all exist at once damm you Isayama you got us you sneaky bastard! AOE was just confirmed in this episode!!! Also again we keep seeing a black hooded and red sweater Eren there’s no way that’s artistic choice to make the same mistake in the same episode he’ll no that’s no being consistent lol
The depiction of Eren as a child is a way to show how childish his dreams and desires are. He would've comited to the rumbling no matter what, he even said it, when he learned humanity was alive outside the walls he was dissapointed, he wanted to destroy it all. He truly wanted to save paradis, but in the end his main reason to do it was creat HIS version of freedom
Did you read the manga or just watch anime so far? Because that second sentence starting with “He would’ve committed to the rumbling no matter what” makes me think you might be anime only.
Greatest episode hands down. My only personal pet peeve is after everyone jumps out the ship armin says “eren!!” Nah bro imma need an EREEEENNNNNNN. To really emphasize that we coming for you

Definitely a great episode. Can't say I'm looking forward to the manga ending, but if they keep adapting it properly, they might be able to make it decent without changing the main plot points.
@@CoolManCoolMan123 exactly. Also in the manga things just zoom by so fast page by page that there isn't any time to actually experience everything since you just get past it in a matter of seconds. I actually reread the last 3 chapters and they were definitely not AS lacking in quality as i initially thought Also back then the environment for expectations for the ending was completely different. Everyone was riding the whole "Chad Eren smegma male" shite too hard that they completely thought that erens actions were 100% moral. It's not the case at all right now besides the miniscule number of redditors and twitter users.
I have great expectations for mappa this time around. I remember so many manga readers complaining about Hange's death and rightfully so, it was rushed. But in the anime it was put in with great music, great animation, and giving a clear picture on why Hange had to sacrifice, and from the reactions I am seeing, this was probably the highlight of the episode for many. As long as they expand the ending and don't make it as rushed it will be at least a good ending as the themes of 139 are still great, just very rushed.
I am unhappy with the four-part finale. However, the quality is very high. When this show is complete, I will binge-watch it. This will hit differently.
personally thinking how u said with scheduling its comin after jjk which means october so they have september for finishing touches if november then octave they need for it too and also bc jjk might still be goin on in september
The only problem I have with Hange's death is how she announces she's gonna die, even though she doesn't know she's gonna die. In the anime, she kills something like 10 titans before starting to have any damage dealt to her at all. She even had the opportunity to check the port, and ask the question "Huh?! They need more time??". Yes, they needed more time, but what if they didn't need more time? Then -> Hange goes back on the ship and they all go together to confront Eren, which means that Hange COULD HAVE SURVIVED. Now, because the situation was actually "Okay, I'm gonna try to hold the titans untill you guys are ready to go. I don't know if I'll survive, but someone has to do it", and not "Goodbye, I'm gonna die", the way the scene is handled before she goes is a little bit off. I understand that they made it look dramatic and cool for Hange because they're killing her, but saying "goodbye" like that when you KNOW you can survive is a little dissonant to me. Don't get me wrong though, I think the episode was fantastic, and each part of Hange's death (saying goodbye and dying) work great on their own. Just the way Hange's death was directed seemed a bit off to me.
The original writer for the manga of AOT worked with the original studio that animated AOT seasons 1-3 so it rlly isn’t “Top 3 show” it’s more of a “Top 3 series” Idk if the original writer works with MAPPA but I rlly wouldn’t be surprised tbh When this topic is brought up a lot of people end up saying that the show and the manga are pretty different to kinda not be the same series because of the anime-original thing(s) like ‘Eren’s Attack Titan Berserk Mode’ but the original writer did work with the writers at that time meaning he let the studio know of the changes he would’ve made if he had a 2nd chance to make the manga chapters. This would include the ‘Attack Titan Berserk State’. I haven’t read the manga in a long time so I don’t know much others (if there is any) but if there are some others, I would definitely like to know.
It's not about that was made by WIT, but the first animations was damn good, so much effort, I don't think that the actual animation hits like the first one's, but yeah, it's far better rn, they (Mappa) are getting better and better
Hot take: I think Eren did nothing wrong man. Even further, I think he is the only one who is not a hypocrite and is actually trying to solve their lifelong problem once and for all. Remember when Sasuke said that he wanted to become hokage in order to take on the pain of everyone else while they live in happiness? This is exactly what I see Eren doing. Sacrificing himself, his morality, his consciousness, to save his people. Yes, he’s the best patriot of all time. God bless ‘Merica… mhhm I mean Paradis Island!
They probably will next part, since they definitely need a sprinkle of despair next part to remind us what the battle of Heaven and Earth trying to stop
All good things must end as great as somethings are taking them past their natural expiration date can make them sour, hollow and bad there been more than a few comic books. That should have ended one of my favorite things about Manga is that normally there is an ending this looks like it will be a special ending. maybe the GOAT 🐐
Honestly Floch deserves his due appreciation for actually being fairly smart i mean he's obviously not as big brained as Erwin or Armin but he was able to immediately figure out what the Alliance's plan was when they were trying to get the flying ship out of the Paradis harbour and he was able to fool everyone for quite a while all while being a major player in Eren's actual plan i still hate him but that was the entire point of his character in a way so yes i think he's a good character and deserves more appreciation
I’d like to think if this as the end game of anime like as in marvel it’s the years behind the production that make it so great it’s there litterty rappinng up the story they’ve had planed since the start
Attack on titan can make anyone look great with it's amazing music, writing, etc.. just so well done and produced but attack on titan could be the greatest villain origin story.. ever.. period!
if you look at when they bombard eren you see 1 big flash and then one small flash where zeek was there was only one titan wheres the 2nd one from the 2nd flash
Yeah I didn't understand that. They said something like "The Attack Titan is making a move" after the flash and then nothing happened. Kind of odd. No idea what that was all about.
The only problem is now having to wait several months for the final episode 😭

Where did you see Erens grandfather dying??
@@Akira.028 in the prison in Marley as the rumbling approaches
The most tragic part is that they likely died thinking they deserved every part of it. Had it not been for Zeke’s betrayal of Marley, they might not have been trapped in prison
@@CrackedJoints That was Eren's grandad!?!? Damn didn't notice
Which moment disappointed manga readers in the episode?

Erwin was right during his speech. “We live on through our comrades” they dedicate their hearts so the others can keep moving foward
Hangë's death made me cry an insane amount when i first read the manga because i genuinely didn't realise i loved them that much and i had to take an entire day to process it
even though i KNEW it was gonna be a part of this episode as that one scene of Hangë flying in front of the titans was in the trailer it was just so SO beautifully animated it was absolutely gorgeous and made me ugly cry for like 10 entire minutes and i know it would have been worse if i had not read the manga
There’s never gonna be a anime like this ever again
EVER
This actually is the greatest episode of all the anime I've watched till now
For me it's a really tough toss up between this, the hero episode with Erwins charge, erens memory time travel episode, and founder ymirs past episode.
If only season 4 was cleaner (more put together, less parts)
And had more 2d animation for titans.

For Attack On Titan is the greatest and best written anime of all time. Very Unique story and most intense, thrilling and suspense that you cannot find in other anime. Most anime is just for kids but this anime is masterpiece.

Love this Anime. It's perfect the best Anime ever. Idk if can any other Anime like this. It's Peak Fiction
I agree with most of your observations, especially the one about the OST.
This movie episode delivered exactly what I had envisioned for these chapters. Actually no, it delivered more than what I expected. The most powerful scenes like:
-Ramzi, Halil.
-Eren's internal speech
-The entire airplane sequence with Hange's final showdown
Were all animated beautifully.
Nice video dude.
your non-AoE content is great as well. so congrats
the september 13 prediction you dropped there was genius 🤣
Bro the hopium I got when I saw the scene of Armin crying on Hange's death which we thought was him crying for Eren's death was insane 🎉
Because its anime and it isnt real! But fr tho i can answer all of these aside from the pieck one cuz I thought of that too
The cart titans only use is to carry things , I'm sure it's able to keep things in tact while transforming
@@oakmars8062 Keep explosives intact while exploding during a transformation into a titan? Nahhh dawg. Try again. I see your logic, but the titans explode while transforming. That would set off the explosives.
Now take these points and spread them across almost every episode. Because this show literally does this across almost every episode.
This single chapter “The Rumbling” is the greatest fictional peak in my opinion. I have never read anything that comes close to it.

There were also other cities being destroyed in the manga. A city that looked like London/Europe and the race there being of Black ethnicity, a country (Hizuru?) that looked very similar to Japan, etc.
Pretty sure they saved alot of manga scenes of the rumbling to use at the start of the final episode , to recap the rumbling

The depiction of Eren as a child is a way to show how childish his dreams and desires are. He truly wanted to save paradis, but in the end his main reason to do it was creat HIS version of freedom

Definitely a great episode. Can't say I'm looking forward to the manga ending, but if they keep adapting it properly, they might be able to make it decent without changing the main plot points.
The thing is that the point they wanted to get across are good and logical. But the way they executed them is what sucks.
@@CoolManCoolMan123 exactly. Also in the manga things just zoom by so fast page by page that there isn't any time to actually experience everything since you just get past it in a matter of seconds. I actually reread the last 3 chapters and they were definitely not AS lacking in quality as i initially thought
Also back then the environment for expectations for the ending was completely different.
This is off topic but is it just me or does anyone think that the shot at 11:35 represents mike ehrmantraut and walter white before mike dies?
I actually would not be surprised if it comes out on the 13th September
Hange's death is in "Wings of Freedom" tho
Fucking 0 dislikes. Thats how you know Attack on Titan is humanity's perfection.
The original writer for the manga of AOT worked with the original studio that animated AOT seasons 1-3 so it rlly isn’t “Top 3 show” it’s more of a “Top 3 series”
Idk if the original writer works with MAPPA but I rlly wouldn’t be surprised tbh
When this topic is brought up a lot of people end up saying that the show and the manga are pretty different to kinda not be the same series because of the anime-original thing(s) like ‘Eren’s Attack Titan Berserk Mode’ but the original writer did work with the writers at that time meaning he let the studio know of the changes he would’ve made if he had a 2nd chance to make the manga chapters.

Does that scene with mass of people on the cliff was later in the manga or they didnt put it into an anime? I was hoping to see that.
They probably will next part, since they definitely need a sprinkle of despair next part to remind us what the battle of Heaven and Earth trying to stop

Very true. I think that's the saddest result of this episode.
The next part is gonna piss a LOT of people off……

Honestly Floch deserves his due appreciation for actually being fairly smart i mean he's obviously not as big brained as Erwin or Armin but he was able to immediately figure out what the Alliance's plan was when they were trying to get the flying ship out of the Paradis harbour and he was able to fool everyone for quite a while all while being a major player in Eren's actual plan

No idea what that was all about.
aoe??? 🙏🙏🙏
Eren is a shounen character in a seinen series.
They did not show the episode card where it shows which epidode it is that kinda made me sad since it was Tradition
Damn right
Where can I watch it for free?
