    This anthropological documentary shows an unequivocal and lucid picture of how Hmong traditionally used to live according to their ancestral practices in order to survive and thrive and maintain balance with nature. The researchers did a good job in conveying traditional Hmong customs, traditions, rituals and ways of life to the viewers. This video will be a great asset & tool to educate present day Hmong youngsters about their roots, culture and history.

    To whom made this video or documentary about our Hmong People, I want to thank you and those who were involved with gratitude. Because of documentary such as this give the Hmong People an opportunity to show our culture, traditions , religion and most importantly our existence as “Hmong”. God bless the people who made this history possible for our people to cherish forever. Thanks so much to the narrator, too. Excellent job.

    This was a wonderful video in regards to the life of the Hmong in Thailand. It reminds me of the harsh life our ancestors lived, the happiness they found in their simple life, and the innocence of tribal people before industrialization sinks in to destroy their simple livelihoods. Thank you for posting this video. I wonder what year it was filmed.

Other group look at upon on us just like an animal but I don't feel bad the problem we Hmong people need to turn around respect each other care for each other , Hmong people need to reunited to be into one.

    We certainly have changed and evolved over the last four decades since immigrating to the West. Immersed in such industrialized and urban societies, adaptation is a must for survival. Hmong culture will continue to evolve at a 21st century pace and within a few generations it may become a new and distinct branch of Hmong. However, there is nothing to fear, because change is not necessarily a bad thing. It's just different.

    Hmong people used to live in Peace and Prosperity throughout the very generations of generations before the Vietnam war started in 1961.
    Sad that the Hmong lost their Homeland..broken into a unknown people that people don't know who we are, now living in parts of the world countries, hope someday we would reclaim back our city ("LongTieng") and our homelands.

  • @exopheric
    @exopheric 12 років тому +1

    There is no such thing as a permanent and everlasting country on this planet. Every country, ever existed, has been temporal. Therefore, in whatever country we happen to reside, it is our country. People and territories are subject to change by man-made or natural catastrophes. Thus, let the young generations decide for themselves their way of life. History has shown that Hmong heritage has not served Hmong well. By Darwin, adaptation is the only way to survival. Failing this, demise awaits.

  • @exopheric
    @exopheric 12 років тому

    Beg to disagree. In the old time, Hmong were even worse to Hmong. Litigation was a way of life even when it concerned the most insignificant matter. Without law and order, they resorted to violence at the slightest friction. Even siblings had very little tolerance for one another despite their claim of the primacy of "kwv tij sib hlub."

    Contrary to your claim, in the old days Hmoob nyob tau sib haum thiab tsis muaj tib neeg siab phem yuav ua tub sab tub nyiag. There were those who wanted to create division and those who were corrupted and wanted to be in power; but I'm not talking about those. In general, the citizens were good people and did not create trouble with each other. If they did, they were punished severely. Therefore, the Hmong were at peace with each other and worked hard. It isn't like you suggested.

      NO!!! You are funny, "it could be 1975 or 80 something." lol lol it show how ignoring some are. I know you are young but 1975 is still very very clear in the mind of many many Hmong. So it's NOT 1975! And it's not "...or 80s something" EITHER because most of us (Hmong-American) is here in the USofA already. First, this is THIS IS HMONG-THAI. Second, it is sometime in the 1950-60 AND these Hmong are NOT us Hmong refugees from Laos but they are Hmong-Thai.

  • @thehmongoose

    I don't like the way we Hmong people live. The old traditional Hmong life in the hills makes me depressed. There are too many differences that divide us. This is the main reason why Hmong could never make a nation and country.
