Tried this and these are the measurements I used... - between 6 and 7" of 20g (0.8mm) wire for the Main part of the moon - for the back support of the moon, 2" of 20g wire is more than enough but FIRST attach your bead *before* creating the back support for the moon, this will ensure a proper fit after you attach a bead -- TIP: I highly suggest you use a small bead for this size of moon. Up to 6mm can be accommodated though 4mm bead seemed to work better. - used less than 6" of 26g wire to wrap it all together The overall size of the pendant was just under 1" (for me). As mentioned in the video, the size of the mandrel is 13mm but be sure of your wire placements, direction, and where exactly you are creating the folded bends or your moon won't come out looking right. TIP: Note the placement and direction of the wires at 0:35 it looks like a coil. Start out like this and be sure to bend your wires in the right places and you should be okay. Good luck!!
Those are soooo pretty! ❤❤❤ After watching you, it seems much easier to make than they appear. I think I'm going to make a couple pairs to gift at Christmas. Thanks so much for an awesome tutorial (and inspiration)!👍😊
I love this!! I've seen many moon type wire tutorials and this is the first time I've seen the moon put together in this way. I like this method much more than the others I've seen, tysm for sharing!! So pretty 🥰
Awesome! This has to be the one of the best resin clay projects I have come across! I will share it on my blog (beadinggem) later this year so my readers can come learn from you!
Almost all wire jewelry is made with dead soft wire, which can be worked to become hard by lightly tapping it with a coated mallet on a metal surface. She uses 20 gauge wire for the body and 28 for the attachment points and bead. You don’t have to use these gauges specifically, it’s just what she used. I had 18 gauge laying around and used that to make this a big bigger for a pendant instead of earrings, and I had 26 gauge wire. Note that the wire she is using is coated with a tarnish retardant.
Good tutorial but goes a bit fast. I couldn’t keep up with what was happening with no explanations. Also would be helpful if the length of wire was mentioned
@@YegmalaYou don't teach a man to fish by only giving him a fishing pole. You also have to give him the fishing line and the hooks at the end if you're going to ACTUALLY teach them something. So yes, 100% the length of wire should be mentioned as part of the directions in a tutorial. it's common sense so stop trying to sound as if you know what you're talking about because clearly you have tools but no idea how to use them. good day.
I have that problem with some videos too. That's usually when I just keep pausing it and maybe hitting the 10sec forward button. It's a little frustrating, but at least you still get to follow along that way. 😉

Can you please tell me what size beads you used in this tutorial? This is a very pretty earring. Thank you for sharing!!
I think the beads are 4mm and 6mm...just eyeballing this, of course. Hope this is helpful!
Merci pour le partage 🙏💕
Where do you get your ear hooks? :D Would love a link, could even be an affiliate Amazon link...I just need to find trustworthy ear hooks!
Kindly mention wire gauge and plier name wire length
Hii, can i know what's the name of the tool u are using to take mesures please?
what kind of barrel pliers
That's what I'm looking for. Thank you so much.
What gauge wire is that? Is that a 21 gauge wire?
Where do I find that large tool she first used to make the moon
They are bail making pliers. You can find them on Amazon or any jewelry supply website.
Please mention the size of wire...is it 4mm?
What is the thickness of your wire in mm
20 gauge is 0.8mm, I don't know what 28 gauge is but 0.3mm or 0.4mm is good for wire wrapping. You could also 1mm for the moon
superbe
What is the size of the small wire?
I'm going to attempt to make these earnings out of sterling silver and gold filled
Have you made any progress yet?
